Moreover, as we've already informed – there are special guests' appearances on the album, namely Szymon Czech of NYIA who came up with a great guitar solo in one of the new tracks and Cezar of Polish legendary black metal act CHRIST AGONY who sang in two other compositions. He's also an author of lyrics to "Mass for the Dead". The album's ready to be pressed and shall be out at the end of October' 07 on Conquer Records!!!

Devilish Impressions have recently played at Metal Heads Mission (Red Alert Fest) Open Air Festiwal in Crimea / Ukraine with such acts as IMMOLATION, SUFFOCATION, VADER and BENEDICTION amongst others. Here you have Quazarre's comment on that:

"We went on stage after 7 pm as a second support before Suffocation who were headlining the last day of the fest. It was an honour to appear in a company of such great and worldwidely respectable bands especially that their creation had been an early inspiration for some of us. Anyways, at the beginning of the show we've had some technical problem which affected the sound. Luckily there were the guys of Crionics around who took special care of us and helped to sort this fucking problem out (mega thanx and respect!!!). We've played a few tracks from the „Plurima Mortis Imago" album as well as two of the upcoming one just to check whether the new energy is strong enough to jump over our previous works. And you know what? It definitely fucking is! We were extremely happy to see and hear the 1500-strong crowd screaming for encore! In this moment then we'd like to express our gratitude not only to Sergey – the fest's organizer - but most of all to all of you guys who supported us during our show. It's an amazing feeling to see how enthusiastic people can be when listening to our music."

Visit the band's website to see lots of pictures from Devilish Impressions / MARDUK tour. Go to http://youtube.com/watch?v=HM1HHvjNEss to see the band performing Emperor's song "Inno a Satana" in ST.Petersburg / Russia.

TRENTON, N.J. – Prong returns this October 2, 2007 with a new album and a renewed attitude, aptly reflected in the record’s title, “Power of the Damager.”

The hard-hitting record – the band's first studio release since 2003’s “Scorpio Rising” – is easily Prong’s finest. “Power of the Damager” maintains the razor-sharp signature riffs band founder Tommy Victor has perfected over the last 20 years while harkening back to the rawness of Prong’s pioneering years as Industrial Metal’s native son. Most notable is the record's in-your-face production, which came courte! sy of Victor himself. "It's no frills," said Victor. "There's two loud crunchy stereo guitars, rumbling growling bass, and real slamming natural drums. I kept any vocal effects to a minimum. We felt that if the vocal couldn't hold its own dry and decipherable, it probably wasn't any good."

Joining Victor in the Prong trio is bassist Monte Pittman, a Prong veteran who does double-duty as tour guitarist for none other than Madonna, and drummer Aaron Rossi. Though Prong has made a career of changing with each release, the common thread in each is reality, and that carries through on "Power of the Damager."

"Eve! rything is to the point, Victor said. "There are no! disguis es. It's all about experience. It's about relating to what others feel and what they may be concerned about. I think people will relate to the themes encrypted on this record do, even if they are guarded and don't let them surface. A lot of the record is about denial and how we come to grips with it. I know people, if they get honest, will relate."

The mammoth record weighs in with a dozen tracks, highlighted by the title track, which Victor began writing during a crazed, manic night alone in Prong's rehearsal space. "I was trying to review and write riffs, but I was too preoccupied," said Victor. "I was all bottled up, experiencing a good amount of pain, anxiety, fear, and general disgust about everything." He quickly scrawled a lyric on a nearby used envelope and shoved it in his pocket, carrying it around for days. "Even though it had a self destructive, violent! , and nihilistic theme, I felt philosophical, accepting, and maybe even spiritual about the state of mind I was in," he said. "I knew it was good. I threw the riffs I was reviewing on that dark night up on my computer put it to a 203bpm click track, did some programming for the demo, screamed the lyric over it, and it all fit perfectly. From all that negative crap in me came something really cool that I enjoyed doing and helped me get through. It had to be the title track."

“Power of the Damager” is Prong’s first release for Ministry mainman Al Jourgensen’s 13th Planet Records, a relationship that was kindled while Victor played with Jourgensen in Ministry.

! “Tommy is En Fuego!" said Jourgensen. "I love this guy! We’re like two grumpy been-there-done-that bastards, but when it comes to songwriting, performing, Tommy is the shit. Not only do I love working in the studio and touring with the guy on Ministry, I’m totally honored and proud to have Prong on the 13th Planet roster. 'Power of the Damager' is top-notch Prong at its very best. Way to kick ass, Tommy. Good job.”

Prong will begin touring in support of "Power of the Damager" in October, kick-starting the tour in 13th Planet’s hometown of El Paso, Tex.

    Melancholic Art

“My heart’s like an open book, for the whole world to read” goes the famous Motley Crue lyric. But few rockers have followed these words as closely as drummer Phil Varone, who over a four year period, allowed a thorough and no-holds-barred window into his personal life – the end result being the unflinching documentary on the ups and downs of rock n’ roll, ‘Waking Up Dead.’ Directed by Emmy Award winning journalist and filmmaker Fabio Jafet, the near hour and a half documentary was first released in 2005, and has now been issued as an expanded DVD, via Demolition Records and MVD Entertainment Group.

The way that the media often portrays rock stars is one of a dream-come-true existence. And while quite a few of Varone’s rock n’ roll dreams came true, it’s certainly not all champagne, caviar, and limos for a working musician, and Varone and Jafet pull no punches throughout ‘Waking Up Dead,’ as such topics as addiction, how to support your family on meager earnings, and business betrayal are all dissected and analyzed. While countless musicians have indulged in ‘the rock n’ roll lifestyle’ over the years, few have had the nerve to document it all as thoroughly as Varone does, which results in a head-on collision you just can’t turn away from…known as ‘Waking Up Dead.’

“Phil was incredibly brave and trustful to allow me to tell his story,” explains Jafet. “The only way this movie could have been done was with all access and no censoring. I was not interested in doing a 'Behind The Music.' There was no point.”

What you get is a flick that truly encompasses sex, drugs, and rock n’ roll – times ten. “I didn’t want to make any ordinary documentary. I think most of them are flat and boring and carry the stigma of being called ‘documentary.’ I wanted to break the rules and make something that stood out visually and emotionally.”

  • GOD FORBID Love The Koch

KOCH Records announces the release of Sickness and Misery, a new CD featuring two classic albums by the fore runners of the New Wave of American Heavy Metal, God Forbid, on November 6th, 2007. Sickness and Misery will contain both the band’s first EP, the out of print Out of Misery, and the band’s first full-length album, “Reject the Sickness,” combined together into one great package.

God Forbid is rapidly becoming one of the top guns in Metal, and the launching pad for the band was their two initial releases Out of Misery and Reject The Sickness. Neither body of work has received the proper treatment it deserves until now as KOCH, in conjunction with the band, put the two releases on one CD and rename it Sickness and Misery. Featuring 16 tracks of sonic brutality these are the tracks that got the band signed these are the classic tracks that first put God Forbid on the map. A must of any God Forbid fan or metal collector, and pimped out with all new artwork, Sickness and Misery is a must for any serious fan of heavy music.

God Forbid’s Doc Coyle says “All in God Forbid are very excited to re-release these albums. It's an honor to be involved with a renowned label such as KOCH. Although Reject the Sickness and Out of Misery have been released in other modest formats, this is the first proper release with full distribution. I think RTS is a classic in the metalcore genre, that never really had its due, and OOM really gives true God Forbid fans a raw look at the foundation where the band was birthed. Having both releases on the same CD is a great idea! More bang for the buck! This is also the first time either album will see light of day in Europe. For all those who've been bitching about the rarity of these albums, please enjoy!”KOCH Records’ VP of Metal Scott Givens adds, “We at KOCH are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with God Forbid and to give these classic releases the exposure they have so long deserved.”

  • DAWNBRINGER: Catharsis Instinct Reissue Forthcoming

Pennsylvania-based metal obscurity DAWNBRINGER has confirmed a deal with Battle Kommand Records for the reissue of its 2001 album Catharsis Instinct. The band's second full-length album has been difficult to find since its original issue via the Argentinian label Icarus Music. Despite its low-key release, the album was warmly received by fans and press alike, with Metal Maniacs reviewer Marty Rytkonen raving, "I haven't heard this much passion, innovation, and catchiness since the last time I spun Seventh Son of a Seventh Son."

DAWNBRINGER mainman Chris Black explained that the band was recently able to regain the rights to the master tape. "We had a bit of professional help in negotiating with Icarus," he says, "and in the end the label forfeited the rights back to us. They weren't doing much with it anyway, and I was surprised it took much to convince them to give it up. In any case, we're thankful to have it back under our direct control."

Whether the album will be updated for the reissue is still to be decided. "We have a few weeks to think about it, and honestly, we're looking for some input from the field," says Black. "Nobody in the band was particularly happy with the final mix, but we also know that it can be dangerous to tinker with what people already know and enjoy. I'm leaning toward a total remix, in order to bring out the vocals, take some of the edge off it, and make it a bit more atmospheric like the other albums. From that session, we also have a version of WASP's "The Headless Children" that we'll consider including with the reissue."

The new edition of Catharsis Instinct will be available via Battle Kommand later this year.

DAWNBRINGER's current album, In Sickness and In Dreams, was released by Battle Kommand in late 2006. The band is currently writing its new album, entitled Pendulum.

  • SIX FEET UNDER – film video for “Doomsday”

Florida-based death metallers SIX FEET UNDER have issued the following update:

"We filmed a new video clip this past weekend for the song “Doomsday” from our latest release “Commandment”. We once again worked with director Mario D. Framingheddu, who also filmed our last video, “Ghosts of the Undead”. The concept of the clip is pure fucking insanity on all levels. We were fortunate enough to work with Grady Stiles, a.k.a. Lobsterboy, who plays our main character. This has to be the creepiest clip we've ever filmed, from location, to storyline, to cast. It's totally fucked up! We are really proud of this vid and are really looking forward to the release."

  • FALL OF SERENITY – Studio Video online and new album title announced!

Germany´s FALL OF SERENITY are ready to rumble! The new album is done and it got a name:

    “The Crossfire”.

Singer John Gahlert on the new album: “We have worked hard to have these new circumstances within the band. There’s a new spirit we feel, pushing us forward into a slightly different and thrilling destination. “The Crossfire” is our statement against musical boundaries and bigotry. Working with Dan Swanö (hail to the king!) was another new piece in the puzzle and it perfectly fits to the aura of our sound. After Leif Jensen (Dew-Scented) appeared on the last album “Bloodred Salvation”, we forced female metal icon Sabina Classen (Holy Moses, Temple Of The Absurd ) to be part of the new record...with fantastic result, she has a great and authentic voice. We are really looking forward to the things to come.”

    February :-

    Monday 4th, Burswood Dome, Perth
Wednesday 6th, Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne
    Saturday 9th, Acer Arena, Sydney
    Tuesday 12th, Entertainment Centre, Brisbane

The tour then continues with more concerts in North America in late May and June before finishing with a third leg in July and August encompassing major stadiums and festivals all over Europe. During the tour the band is expected to play to well over one and a half million fans and travel close to 100,000 miles.

In an historic first, Iron Maiden, their 60-strong crew and support staff and over 12 tons of equipment will be travelling around the world en masse for the first leg of the tour in a specially commissioned and converted Astraeus Boeing 757 decorated with Maiden and Eddie designs! Vocalist Bruce Dickinson, who is a qualified Airline Captain flying for Astraeus Airlines, will pilot the plane on its epic mission, flying over 50,000 miles.

Comments Bruce Dickinson, "We had the idea last year of converting a jumbo jet into effectively what would be a flying 113 ton 'splitter bus' for touring and we have been working seriously on it ever since. It's pretty complex but in the end we were able, with a lot of help from Astraeus Airlines, to overcome all the technicalities of customising the plane for our purposes. We are taking out the back 10 rows of seats to fit in a customised cargo hold that we can use again in the future if this jaunt works. This is in addition to all the standard storage holds. By taking band, personnel and equipment in one form of transport it makes all the touring so much easier and overcomes the logistical difficulty of people and equipment going in different planes. We can even work out exactly how big our carbon footprint is and take care of that responsibility! We will be packing as much of the show into the plane as we possibly can for this first leg and intend to give the fans something very special to remember. And it allows me to combine 2 of my greatest passions, music and flying!!

To tie in with forthcoming 2008 releases on DVD of the classic 'LIVE AFTER DEATH' and 'MAIDEN ENGLAND' concert videos (more details coming soon) this tour, aptly entitled 'SOMEWHERE BACK IN TIME', will revisit the band's history by focusing almost entirely on the 80's in both choice of songs played and the stage set, which will be based around the legendary Egyptian Production of the 1984-85 'Powerslave Tour'. This will arguably be the most elaborate and spectacular show the band have ever presented, and will include some key elements of their Somewhere In Time tour of 1986/7, such as the Cyborg Eddie.

Steve Harris comments; "On the last tour we opened the show by playing our new album 'A Matter of Life and Death' in its 80 minute entirety. We thought we needed the challenge and it proved the right thing to do. However, it can be hard on the fans playing so much new material and we really appreciated the superb support they gave us. So now l guess it's payback time. It's tremendous to be able to use the profile of the DVDs to do what is effectively an 80's show. It will be enormous fun and by changing the approach to the songs we play tour by tour it keeps it fresh and interesting for both the band and the fans alike. l think 'Powerslave' was an incredible show with the Egyptian theme and look forward to seeing it all again myself. We have been planning this for a few years and hoping to take it to Australia -- so we are all delighted that it has now worked out. I would also like to say that we are all are very grateful to our loyal fans in Oz who have kept the Maiden flag flying all these years and we are sorry to have disappointed you for so long. Thanks and see you there"

Rod Smallwood, Iron Maiden's Manager, further commented; "Following Bruce's various hints from on stage this last year about our plans for 2008 ("We are taking some time off to build some pyramids!"), fans have been pestering me for details of the tour and especially asking which songs from that era will be played. That may be as easy as a run in the hills but we will keep our aces close to our chest on this issue. I know it would only take a couple of minutes but at this stage of planning, I'd have to be clairvoyant to know what they will do. I'm sure though it will be no revelation for you that we intend to make up for those wasted years by visiting a large number of hallowed metal venues around the world. Historically 'Powerslave' was an incredibly important album for the band and it would be madness if we didn't give the fans a taste of the full on Iron Maiden show from that time. With our jumbo there really is no rime nor reason why the band cannot now visit fans almost everywhere as many have been real troopers to have waited this long. Heaven only knows what the band will choose but if l could and did tell you now l would have to shoot you! You'll all have to be patient and see. But it will be spectacular. No fear!!"

Historically, this will be Maiden's fourth Australian Tour having first toured in 1982 when 'The Number of the Beast' was Australia's number one album, then again in 1985 with the original 'Powerslave' show and most recently in 1992 with 'Fear of the Dark'. However a great deal has happened with the band since then, especially in recent years when ticket sales have continued to explode around the world as the band's loyal fan base continues to flourish. As Maiden have never had airplay or much video channel exposure anywhere in the world their popularity spread mainly by word of mouth on the back of a legacy of many great albums and an awesome live reputation With the ever increasing power of the internet the Maiden legend has fired the imagination of new young fans around the planet, and, although their audience spans two generations, it is now predominantly a young one, inspired by the massive legacy and influence of this unique band (and, of course, Eddie).

To allow Iron Maiden fans in Australia to get right up close to the band, the fan club are organising advance booking of tickets for members and running a special draw for them whereby 60 winners and friend at each show will be given first access to the venue and be first to the stage barrier. Full details will be on www.ironmaiden.com.

Tickets go on sale to the public 9am Thursday 27th September, but members of the Iron Maiden fan club get exclusive first access to purchase tickets from 12 noon Thursday 20th September through to 12 noon Monday 24th September. More details soon!

  • SYSTEM OF A DOWN Guitarist Announces Band That Won't Be As Good As SOAD

System of a Down's Daron Malakian (guitars, vocals, songwriter) and John Dolmayan (drums) have joined forces to form a new band, SCARS ON BROADWAY. Malakian will be updating fans on the progress of Scars, and the first update, just-posted, can be found on the band's MySpace page...http://www.myspace.com/scarsonbroadway

...and on the band's official website - http://www.scarsonbroadway.com

Malakian co-produced (with Rick Rubin) System of a Down's multi-platinum albums "Toxicity" (2001) and the dual-disc "Mezmerize/Hypnotize" (2005), all three of which hit the Number One spot on Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart.

    Metal Maniacs

Hurley and Converse unite to present the 2007 "Radio Rebellion" Tour, a massive, twenty eight city North American trek that will showcase the cream of the crop of heavy music's rising stars from points across the globe. Co-headlining the tour will be Glendale, AZ extreme metal unit JOB FOR A COWBOY and Polish death metal troupe BEHEMOTH.

The highly-anticipated follow up to 2006's successful package tour of the same name, this year's planned jaunt sees the "Radio Rebellion" Tour upping the ante, especially in regards to the 'heaviness factor', as the tour will grandstand two of underground metal's most talked about rising artists in BEHEMOTH and JOB FOR A COWBOY. Support on the extreme expedition will be provided by highly regarded French band GOJIRA and Canadian technical death metal quartet BENEATH THE MASSACRE. The tour's official admat can be viewed at this location.

JOB FOR A COWBOY, who has seen a meteoric ascent unparalleled in recent metal history, will continue to tour in support of its debut full-length album "GENESIS". Referred to as "the most anticipated debut release from a metal band in years", "GENESIS" debuted at # 54 on Billboard's Top 200 chart this past May, shifting nearly 13,000 units in it's first week of release and joined the initial releases from Stone Sour and Damageplan (which featured members of Slipknot and Pantera respectively) amongst the highest charting metal debuts to crack Billboard's Top 200 since SLIPKNOT's 1999 self-titled album. Additionally. the band has earned a landslide of recent accolades including being named "Best Underground Band" at the 2007 Metal Hammer "Golden Gods Awards", one of Total Guitar's "Hottest Guitar Bands of 2007", one of Alternative Press' 2007 "Bands You Need to Know" and one of Revolver's "Breakthrough Bands that will be Kicking Your Ass this Year".

Ozzfest breakthrough artists BEHEMOTH are extremely proud to be a part of the “Radio Rebellion” tour, which is the perfect follow up to their highly successful summer run. The tour affords the band the opportunity to perform a longer set in more intimate settings, ultimately providing fans with "the definitive BEHEMOTH experience". This is also a chance for the band to perform an array of songs from their highly acclaimed new offering, "The Apostasy", which debuted at #149 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. While most bands struggle to evolve and stay vital within the extreme music genre, BEHEMOTH has managed to do so effortlessly. "The Apostasy" is destined to continue their legacy.

"We’ve toured U.S. ten times during last few years but we almost never had a chance to headline our own shows," BEHEMOTH main man Nergal states. "These last few years have been about working our asses off in order to establish our name and build a solid foundation, and now it will finally pay off. It’s high time for us to come back to North America and show our fans what a Behemoth set with full production can be. I love all the bands that are joining us as there is a lot of quality and variety on the bill. I’m thrilled to tour with Gojira and Job for a Cowboy is phenomenal! Extremely talented band. I can’t think of a better company for us. We’re bringing all our lights, a full stage production, and will be delivering at least an hour long set. We’ll be playing old stuff as well as songs from “The Apostasy”. The Radio Rebellion Tour is going to be massive! See you there my friends!”

On the topic of the tour, JOB FOR A COWBOY founding member Ravi Bhadriraju comments, "To be a part of a tour along side some of the best acts from around the world is awesome. Behemoth, Gojira and Beneath the Massacre are all from different countries and are all amazing bands. This will be the heaviest tour of the fall! We're excited and ready to hit the road yet again. All of you Job for A Cowboy fans can expect a show that will be worth your while. Look out!"

In addition to Hurley and Converse, "Radio Rebellion" 2007 tour sponsors include Revolver Magazine, Smartpunk, Metal Blade Records, Ferret Music and Prosthetic Records. "Radio Rebellion" Co-Founder Stewart Teggart comments, "We are very excited to launch this year's 'Rebellion Tour'. It will be 'Radio Rebellion' in the truest sense as we've assembled four of the most extreme bands in heavy metal. Each band on the tour this year hail from a different country and all of them have their own unique way of delivering brutally heavy music. If you are a fan of Metal, this tour is not to be missed! Radio Rebellion will be the microphone for the youth by delivering what the fans want to see and hear which is why sponsors with a similar frame of mind have been chosen to help support the tour."

For additional information on "Radio Rebellion", please visit the tour's online domain: www.myspace.com/radiorebellion.

"Showcasing cutting-edge artists who've built a massive grassroots fanbase without the help of commercial radio, the Radio Rebellion Tour signifies the shift in how today's youth discovers and identifies new music and lifestyle trends through the media and the Internet." - SURFERSVILLAGE.com

  • PRIMORDIAL – Reveal new album title

So we are finally finished with the recording of our sixth album, To the Nameless Dead. After a few rain sodden weeks locked up in Foel Studios in North Wales mastering and final artwork is now completed. This time far away from the chaos and negative influences of a big city made the recording process far smoother and more complete then we have ever known.

We left at the end quietly satisfied as opposed to feeling like our nerves were shot and far more stressed then we began. Much of this we owe to Chris Fielding who engineered it and put many long hours into its creation and to Dave Anderson who has created something we can only call a “good vibe” in the middle of nowhere far from the meddling influence of civilisation….immense thanks.

The sound is of course instantly recognisable as Primordial but more powerful then before, heavier and richer with a much more rounded sound. Whereas The Gathering Wilderness was a dark often impenetrably bleak work, To the Nameless Dead has found the fire in its veins to defy, to rebel, to stand up and oppose all. This is a vast and epic album, more pounding and full of rage than PRIMORDIAL has been for many a winter…

It is defiantly at odds with a modern metal scene that often seems to place banality, mediocrity and safety above passion, honesty and truth. It does not sound like a computer recorded it, it does not sound like a procession of riffs simply poached from metals founding fathers, it is not a mindless exercise in musical masturbation. This is Metal as it was meant to be played. With Passion… We play music because we have to…this is in our veins.

This is our culture, our history, our folklore, our heritage. We make no apologies, we will not compromise. And now with our sixth album To the Nameless Dead we are about to make our strongest statement yet…

    Acta Non Verba
    Ad Asperum Finem
    Vae Victis

Primordial’s To the Nameless Dead will be available in stores and online everywhere in early 2008!

  • CENTURY MEDIA RECORDS welcomes ZIMMERS HOLE & WARBRINGER to its worldwide family!

ZIMMERS HOLE – The Reign Of Lunacy Is Coming…

Vancouver’s ZIMMERS HOLE have signed a worldwide deal with Century Media Records and have started the recording of their upcoming third album, which is destined to shatter your sanity in early 2008.

This band are no strangers to the metal community, as the lineup features Byron Stroud (Fear Factory, Strapping Young Lad) on bass and Jed Simon (Tenet, Strapping Young Lad) on guitars, along with The Heathen (vocals) and Steve Wheeler (drums).

Byron and Jed further comment: “Now with ZIMMERS HOLE signing a fresh, new deal with Century Media, we have decided to give this band our full and undivided attention. No more 'side-project' status here; the men of the Hole are fired up like a city on fire and we entered Vancouver’s famed Armoury Studios to begin tracking the new release.

We currently have 19 songs on the table for the new album and some tentative song titles include, ‘The Dark Church of Whatever’, ‘We Rule The Fucking Land’, ‘Flight Of The Knight Bat’ and ‘Hair Doesn't Grow on Steel’. As you can see, it's all about having a good time with The Hole. Make no mistake though, we are very serious about our love of metal; it made us who they are, and we wear our influences on our sleeves proudly.

We are now more focused than ever before and are so excited about the new album. So excited in fact, that the combined length of our erections may just reach out and touch ya!”

Born in 1991, ZIMMERS HOLE (known by many as just “The Hole”) has been Byron and Jed’s significant other band when not busy with Strapping Young Lad or Fear Factory. In the beginning, it was always just a way of spending the weekend drinking far too much and writing absurd songs. As time went on, the group “matured” somewhat, although maturity is highly overrated as far as these guys go, but two remarkable albums (“Bound By Fire” and “Legion of Flames”), a series of successful tours and a string of absolutely unforgettable shows soon followed, putting the mighty ZIMMERS HOLE on the lips of many.

This album will be ZIMMERS HOLE’s first release with proper worldwide distribution, and they are determined to make a definitive statement: Beware of The Hole next spring.

    WARBRINGER – Thrash is back!!!

With the worldwide signing of LA thrashers WARBRINGER, Century Media Records is proud to announce the triumphant return of classic 80’s thrash metal, more vital and more devastating than ever before! Never has the evil, no-holds barred sound of Baloff-era Exodus, Slayer’s “Hell Awaits”, and Kreator’s “Pleasure To Kill” been revived and revitalized for the 21st century in such a strikingly inspired and pure fashion. After recording their self-released EP to unanimous rave reviews, appearing on the “Speed Kills…Again!” compilation, playing to thrash-starved crowds across the US west coast and attracting serious label interest, they’re ready to take the next step with their full-length debut expected to surface in early 2008.

Right now, Bill Metoyer, who helped shape legendary albums from the likes of Slayer, D.R.I., Sacred Reich, Hirax, Corrosion of Conformity, Trouble and Flotsam and Jetsam, is now in the studio with John Kevill (vocals), John Laux (guitar), Adam Carroll (guitar), Andy Laux (bass) and Ryan Bates (drums) producing one of the most vicious debuts that will have longtime metal fans reminiscing and allow younger fans who missed out on the original magic to experience a band that they can call their own.

  • ARCH ENEMY - “Revolution Begins” / First single release off the new album!

Having just successfully performed their first shows with returned guitarist Christopher Amott last weekend in the United Kingdom at a special Kerrang! Barfly club show in London and the Bloodstock Festival, metal maestros ARCH ENEMY are proud to unveil details of the first single release off their upcoming new album “Rise Of The Tyrant”.

The special single is “Revolution Begins” and the tracklisting is:
    1. Revolution Begins (4:11)
    2. Blood On Your Hands (4:40)
    3. Walk In The Shadows (3:07) [Queensrÿche Cover Version] * Non-Album Track
    4. I Am Legend / Out For Blood (5:36] [Live 2007] * Non-Album Track

As well as the title track you get another brand new song, the albums lead track “Blood On Your Hands”, which was recently launched on www.myspace.com/archenemy as an exclusive preview track. This special-priced single, packaged in dramatic artwork courtesy of Niklas Sundin, includes 2 very special non-album bonus songs: A cover version of Queensrÿche’s classic “Walk In The Shadows” and “I Am Legend / Out For Blood - Live”, recorded earlier in 2007 when the band toured in South America.

ARCH ENEMY mainman Michael Amott comments the cover song’s choice as follows:

“We've always had a lot of respect for Queensrÿche, they’ve written so many amazing songs. ‘Walk In The Shadows’ is off their ‘Rage For Order’ album, which is mine and Sharlee’s (D’Angelo, Bass) favourite Queensrÿche album. We did the song ‘our way’ and it sounds quite different to the original, we just hope the Queensrÿche guys are cool with it if they ever hear it!"
“Revolution Begins” is released August 31st in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, September 3rd in Greece and September 5th in Sweden and Finland so watch out!

HOLLYWOOD – THE ULTIMATE DEVOTION is Marc Rizzo’s solo sophomore release on Shrapnel Records. This newly mastered work of shred-art comes on the coat-tails of his critically acclaimed debut album COLASSAL MYOPIA in 2006.

Being part of the new breed of young guitarists in contemporary bands, Rizzo has built a substantial following through his years of touring and recording with Soulfly with Metal Legend Max Cavalera. Rizzo’s raw energy combined with the talent of a new-generation shred-master is a much needed breath of fresh air to the instrumental rock genre.

THE ULTIMATE DEVOTION is a myriad of Rizzo’s amazing talent to combine flamenco and pure unadulterated shred mastery. “THE ULTIMATE DEVOTION is a total representation of where I am at musically right now,” explains Rizzo. “I feel I really pushed myself on this record to the next level of my playing. This music, for me, is the ultimate devotion.”

Rizzo is out now with Soulfly in Europe and is also shredder of choice by newly reunited Max and Igor Cavalera for their new project tentatively named INFLIKTED.
