October 23rd, 2006	According to Cincinnati.com, former Morbid Angel/Hate Eternal bassist/vocalist Jared Anderson passed away on Saturday, October 14 at the age of 30. The cause of his death has not yet been released. Visitation will take place Thursday, October 19 at the E. C. Nurre Funeral Home, St. Rt. 125 Amelia, Ohio from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by Funeral Services Thursday, 11 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment Pierce Township Cemetery. Jared Anderson was most recently working on a project which was known by its alias AS ONE... Jared described the band's musical direction on his MySpace page as "a revision of my Internecine writings, or shall I say 'written in the vein of.' The Internecine record itself was all 'old' material from the early to mid-'90s that I was given the offer to record, so obviously I opted to do so. Highly technical, obscure death metal was purely the intent of Internecine. Although most of the material was written many years prior to recording it, there were a couple of songs that were more recent. The two songs were 'The Elder Gods' and 'The Calling Of The Hordes'. This is where AS ONE... comes in, kind of continuing where I left off so to speak, with a much more matured sound." R.I.P. Jared! HORNS UP! Celtic Frost Concert Footage Celtic Frost's sold-out concert at the Mean Fiddler in London on August 19, 2006, was filmed for broadcast by Redemption TV (www.redemptiontv.com). All that we know for 200% is that Kvarforth has been missing for the past 4 weeks and have, as his friend indicates, chosen to end his own life and for us, the band, this come as no surprise as he have been suffering from extreme anxiety and depressions the past 6 months and some truly extreme things, considering his own personal life, occurred dramatically right before he disappeared. However, we wish to send our deepest regrets to our friend and sadistical leader Kvarforth wherever he might be! Kvarforth did as mentioned, involve a new singer in the band without telling us before he left, his name is Ghoul and will be introduced on the release-show we are holding in December. No one of us, the band members have meet him yet but a contact have been established via letter-exchange, and as this was Kvarforth's own will, we are now officially presenting our newest member, whoever this might be, Ghoul. It shall also be said that both me and the guys in the band have heard Kvarforths wish that Shining should get a new singer if he died or disappeared but we never thought that it would come to this point! I, a tribute to Quorthon During last week's Hole In The Sky festival in Bergen, Norway, Abbath – frontman of I and IMMORTAL – stressed out that the song 'Far Beyond The Quiet' from the forthcoming I debut "Between Two Worlds" (in stores: November 3rd) was written in the honor of the deceased BATHORY mastermind Quorthon. Former IMMORTAL guitarist and lyricist Demonaz composed all the lyrics for "Between Two Worlds", claiming to have attempted to write in the Swede's style. Atrocity (not to be confused with the German band) was formed in early 1985 in Torrington, Connecticut by Rob Wedda (V), Rich Flint (B), Scott Reynolds (G) and Jeff White (D), is influenced by underground genres from thrash to hardcore and punk to death metal. By 1989 the band had pushed out three demos (Toxic Death, Ravaged by Disease, Mangled) and a self-financed 7 EP entitled Hatred Birth. Atrocity soon caught the attention of U.K. based Metalcore Records, a subsidiary of Plastichead Distribution, to with they ultimately signed with. Atrocitys first album, Infected (1990), is very raw and featured a very violent death metal/grind sound. Reviews of Infected landed Atrocity into the ranks of early Napalm Death and Repulsion. The second album, The Art of Death (1992), saw a line-up change when Scott left the band and was replaced by Jesse Piechowski on guitar. Back in April 2005, CANDIRIA won a $29 million verdict for injuries they suffered when a truck hit their tour van. The studo is in the area where the Notting Hill carnival took place: it was total unadulterated madness. We were effectively under siege, and I think this contributed to the intensity of the session. We practically came to blows on more than one occasion, but everyone ended up venting their aggression and frustration in their performances. Jon Nödtveidt was a man who lived his life according to hisconvictions and True Will. A couple of days ago he chose to end his life by his own hands. As a true Satanist he led his life in the way he wanted and ended it when he felt that he had fulfilled his self-created destiny. Not everyone will have understanding or acceptance for his personal path in this life and beyond, but all must respect his choice. Those of us who have met him in his last days can assure that he was more focussed, happier and stronger than ever. It is our full conviction that he left this world of lies with a scornful laughter, knowing that he had fulfilled everything that he had set up for himself to accomplish.
