German death metallers DEFEATED SANITY have completed work on their
second full-length album "Psalms of the Moribund", and is
set for an autumn 2006 release via Grindethic Records. The album was
engineered by Jörg Uken at Soundlodge Studios (DESPONDENCY, OBSCENITY,
RESECTION, GOD DETHRONED) in Rhauderfehn, Germany. The new material
is said to incorporate more oppressively brutal elements with the band's
technical style.
The band has recently been joined by bassist Jacob Schmidt (CEREBRIC
TURMOIL) to complete a five-piece line-up as follows:
Wolfgang Teske - guitars
Lille Gruber - drums
Jens Staschel - vocals
Christian Kühn - guitars
Jacob Schmidt - bass
The new album "Psalms of the Moribund" features 9 tracks,
including a re-recorded version of the song "Prelude to the Tragedy".
The full track listing is as follows:
01. Stoned Then Defiled
02. Fatal Self Inflicted Disfigurement
03. Prelude to the Tragedy
04. Hideously Disembodied
05. Butchered Identity
06. Psalms of the Moribund
07. Engorged with Humiliation
08. Arousal Through Punishment
09. Artifacts of Desolation
An advance track off the album will be made available soon, a 2005 demo
version of song "Hideously Disembodied" can be downloaded
at http://www.defeated-sanity.com
DEFEATED SANITY released their debut album, "Prelude to the Tragedy"
in 2004 via Grindethic Records.
- DYING FETUS To Enter Studio In September
DYING FETUS has posted the following message on its official web site:
"We are pleased to announce that we will be heading into the studio
to record the long-anticapted follow-up to 'Stop at Nothing' [2003].
We will be recording at Hit & Run Studios in Rockville, MD in mid-September.
We look forward to getting back into the swing of things. More info
to come on that as we progress on it. We are also very excited to announce
that we will be heading off on a full U.S. tour in support of CANNIBAL
CORPSE starting in November."
Joining CANNIBAL CORPSE and DYING FETUS on the upcoming tour will be
NECROPHAGIST and UNMERCIFUL.
DYING FETUS recently announced the addition of drummer Duane Timlin
(ex-DIVINE EMPIRE) to the group's ranks.
Song titles set to appear on the upcoming DYING FETUS CD include "Parasites
of Catastrophe", "Unadulterated Hatred", "Raping
the System" and "The Ancient Rivalry".
- GOD DETHRONED new album ready!
God Dethroned has revealed the cover artwork for their new album The
Toxic Touch due out in the US in Fall 2006. The Dutch Deathsters are
also gearing up for another Blitzkrieg European tour with Vader &
Severe Torture.
The Toxic Touch is the band's 6th album for Metal Blade Records and
was recorded at Soundlodge Studios in Germany with Producer Joerg Uken.
Mastering was handled at Wisseloord Studios in Holland.
The track listing is as follows:
01. Faithless
02. Hating Life
03. 2014
04. Falling Down
05. On Wings of Pestilence
06. The Day You Died
07. Away From Emptiness
08. Macabre World
09. Typhoid Mary
10. Fail to Exist
The Japanese edition will have a bonus track called "Bleeding Mirrors".
"The Toxic Touch" is the product of two years of extensive
and intense touring all over the world. The new line-up has proved to
be superior to all the previous ones. You could see it as a learning
process. While everybody knows us as a band with a fine mix between
the brutal and the melodic parts, people appreciate us mostly for our
groove and melody, especially live. The new album reflects that more
than ever before. The number of blast-beats on this album has been decreased
to a minimum. Why? Simply because in a live situation it's probably
the most boring part. In the new situation the blast-beat adds something
special, the explosion, whereas in the past it was just a common part
of our style and therefore "nothing special", comments GOD
DETHRONED main man Henri Sattler, and adds: "The Toxic Touch"
has become an album with new and broader influences, techniques and
song writing, but sounds exactly the way God Dethroned should sound
in 2006& This time with our best and heaviest production to date.

- DAVE MUSTAINE Pissed At United Nations
NEW YORK (Billboard) -- Heavy metal maven Dave Mustaine is so angry
with the United Nations that he is naming his group Megadeth's
next album "United Abominations."
"I was watching TV and saw the trucks that said 'UN' on them and
said, 'Man, you are so uncool, ineffective, anything," the singer/guitarist
said in a recent Billboard interview.
"I thought, 'Wow, I've got to run with this. I got it -- United Abominations,
'cause it's an abomination what they're doing!' "
The longtime bane of American conservatives, the United Nations has been
criticized for its slow responses to humanitarian crises in hot spots
such as Darfur and Rwanda. U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan recently
expressed frustration that the group took so long to broker a ceasefire
between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Mustaine said Megadeth is putting the finishing touches on the album,
its debut for indie label Roadrunner Records, and it should be
ready "some time next year."
"We're taking our time with this one," Mustaine said. "It's
a great feeling to make a record and not have our feet held to
the fire. One of my heroes growing up was Kiss, but they really
frustrated me 'cause they would put out a record just about every year.
I couldn't figure that out.
I pretty much have a cycle of about 18 months to 24 months between records.
I just can't put them out any quicker than that and feel comfortable
about them."
Megadeth's last album, "The System Has Failed," was released
by Sanctuary in 2004. Mustaine expects Megadeth to tour heavily
in support of "United Abominations," perhaps into 2008.

- CYNIC Drummer Comments On Reunion Plans
Drummer Sean Reinert of the long-defunct Florida-based band CYNIC —
whose 1993 album "Focus" is regarded as a landmark release
in the field of technical/progressive metal — has commented on
the group's plans to embark a reunion tour in the spring/summer of 2007,
beginning with possible U.S. warm-up performances and culminating in
a number of festival appearances across Europe.
As BLABBERMOUTH.NET
first reported on Sept. 6, CYNIC's reunion lineup wil consist of the
following musicians:
Paul Masvidal - Vocals / Guitar
Sean Reinert - Drums / Keys
Tony Teegarden - Vocals / Keyboards
Chris Kringel - Bass
Santiago Dobles - Guitar
Said Reinert : "As most [people] know by now, CYNIC is reuniting
for live shows in 2007. It seems after many years in slumber the mighty
dragon has awakened. It is going to be such a pleasure to play that
material live again. The fan response has been absolutely overwhelming!
(Keep it up!!!!) We are sorting through the show requests and will be
[announcing] live dates as soon as we have them confirmed. (Anyone with
show offers should send them to: cynicreunion@aeonspoke.com.).
We are also working on getting merchandise that includes T-shirts/tats/pullovers
as well as a live DVD with bonus footage."
Kringel, who replaces Sean Malone (who can't participate in the reunion
because of teaching and work commitments) in CYNIC's reunion lineup,
has been involved with the band since the pre- "Focus" days
and toured with the band in Europe in support of the CD. He also played
bass on the classic and much-sought-after PORTAL demos and toured the
U.K. with Paul and Sean's AEON SPOKE project. Teegarden also previously
toured with CYNIC in support of "Focus", while Santiago —
who is said to be "the man behind AGHORA" — has been
around the CYNIC camp since 1993-94 and was one of Masvidal's guitar
students in Miami back in the day.
According to Masvidal, guitarist Jason Gobel was approached about participating
in the reunion, but was forced to turn it down due to family and work
commitments. However, he gave the rest of the group his blessings to
proceed and is said to be "honored" to have Santiago as his
replacement.

- Update: ENTOMBED
Candlelight Records today has added "Carnage" from Entombed's
ep When In Sodom set for US release November 14 to the label's official
MySpace page. Bring your browser to www.myspace.com/candlelightrecordsusa
for your first listen.
Planned just prior to the band’s upcoming US dates alongside labelmates/countrymen
Dismember, When in Sodom finds its awaited US release before the band’s
upcoming new full length, Serpent Saints, expected early 2007. It is
the band's first new material since 2003 with this limited edition ep.
Rising from the murky depths of the Swedish underground four-time Grammy
Award nominated Entombed stands a shining example of why rock n' roll
is considered the devils music. Few bands can claim to have founded
a style of music and remain over a decade later as continuing pioneers
of extreme music. Featuring Entombed's trademark sound combined with
the band's most disturbing lyrics yet, When In Sodom is an instant classic.
From the first glimpse via the widely-respected and collected Nihilist
material, listeners and now decade long fans knew early on that Entombed
was to go far. Since their formation, giving rise to the classic “Swedish
death metal” sound, Entombed have not rested on their extensive
accomplishments but rather up’ed the ante on each and every curve.
Catch Entombed on tour with US labelmates Dismember in December. Dates
as of press time are noted below. Venue and ticket information to be

- SPV has announced the signing of Swedish death metal masters UNLEASHED
to a worldwide deal
Known for their skillfully penned, Viking-themed songs and explosive
live performances, UNLEASHED are poised to make a major impact this
fall with the release of their eighth full-length album, titled "Midvinterblot".
"We have more qualified songs to choose from than ever before,
and I am very confident that this will be the best UNLEASHED album ever,"
frontman Johnny Hedlund had previously stated about the CD. "Our
mission is to create one of the most memorable records in the history
of death metal!!! This one will be slightly faster than 'Sworn Allegiance'.
The songs will be anthems in the true traditional UNLEASHED way and
will have you screaming along with the choruses. The guitar sound will
be taking a step towards brutality and grind. The drums are the closest
we have ever come to recording a 'live' kind of intensity. The vocals?
Well, not far away from 'Sworn Allegiance'... just add a little harshness
and a slightly deep aggression to that sound and you'll get the picture
right there. Expect nothing but one of the most memorable records in
the history of death metal."
UNLEASHED utilized the services of stand-in drummer Jonas Tyskhagen
(INCARDINE, PELLE & THE POORBOYS) for their appearance at the Metalmania
festival in Katowice, Poland in early March after the group's regular
skinsman, Anders Schultz was hospitalized following a lung-collapse.
UNLEASHED's seventh studio album, "Sworn Allegiance", was
released in 2004 through Century Media Records. The follow-up to 2002's
"Hell's Unleashed" was recorded and mixed by Fredrik Folkare
at Chrome Studios and mastered by Peter In de Betou of Tailor Maid Productions
(DIMMU BORGIR, AMON AMARTH, KATATONIA).

- WARFACE - ECARD - HEAR THE METAL GRIND
http://ecardresources.net/warface/warfaceannouncement.html
Death Metal Trio WARFACE Release Debut Album
Insanity of the Obsessed on Deathquake Records On Sale Now
“Believe me, I know what you’re thinking. What separates
Warface from virtually every other lesser-known yet highly talented
Death Metal act out there? Hooks. Miles and miles of ridiculously barbed
and jagged hooks delivered with a precision so many groups of such ilk
strive for yet so few truly attain. Just when you think the group is
about to relinquish it’s ice cold death-grip and leave you to
molder in a shallow unmarked grave, they pull you back just below the
surface for even more cruel and unusual punishment. If every group in
the genre were this capable and genuinely dedicated to perfecting their
craft, the charts and airwaves as we know them wouldn’t be hopelessly
clogged with insipid Pop drivel. Trust me, my friends, if this one don’t
leave ya battered, bruised and bloodied, then nothing--and I mean nothing--ever
will.”

- KITTIE’S RESSURECTION : NEW STUDIO RECORDING AND NEW LABEL
LONDON, ONTARIO - Kittie are currently in Retro Media Sound Studio in
Red Bank, New Jersey, recording their fourth full-length release.
Industry veteran producer Jack Ponti, who has worked with Bon Jovi,
Doro, Baton Rouge, and Alice Cooper, will produce the record. The album
will be released on Kittie’s own label, Kiss of Infamy. Kevin
Shirley, who has worked with Jimmy Page as well as Slayer, Metallica,
Iron Maiden, and Dream Theater, will mix the album.
“Starting our own label is an amazing feeling,” said guitarist
vocalist Morgan Lander. “We have always been entrepreneurs of
sorts, so this path really made sense. I cannot tell you how lucky we
are that Jack chose to come out of retirement to do this album with
us. He taught us a lot about recording, about how less is always more,
about improving sound with different microphone placement, and the importance
of focusing on one song at a time. Jack is also a master at arranging
vocal harmonies, which is something we have never really experimented
with.”
“This album has so many more dimensions than anything we have
ever done before,” said Lander. “The harmonies are huge
and lush, and the guitars are crushing and complex all at the same time.
The bass is smooth and complimentary to the ridiculously fast and precise
drums and allows the song to just open up. There is so much more going
on now musically rather than two guitars playing the same riffs.”
Some of the song titles for the album are: “Never Again,”
“Funeral For Yesterday,” “The Change,” “Breathe,”
“Last Goodbye,” “Slow Motion,” and “Flowers
of Flesh and Blood.”
“This album is sort of a concept album in a way,” said Lander.
“All of the songs were written over a period of about a year and
a half and they all revolve around dying, death, and the promise of
resurrection. The subject matter is a direct result of what Mercedes
and I were going through personally and professionally these past few
years - dealing with life on the road, personnel changes, deceit, hopelessness
and an overall feeling of "is this the end." Death of one
kind or another - be it literally, figuratively, or emotionally - has
been at the center of our lives these past few years. But you must have
death before you have resurrection and I feel the band is in its resurrection
stage - a new hope, a new light and a rebirth.”

- KILLSWITCH ENGAGE: New Album Title, Release Date Revealed
New England metallers KILLSWITCH ENGAGE have set "As Daylight Dies"
as the title of their new album, due on November 21 via Roadrunner Records.
"It's the softest thing we've ever done," bassist Mike D'Antonio
joked to MTV.com from a cell phone in England, where this weekend, the
Ozzfest veterans will be taking the stages of the Reading and Leeds
festivals. "They were calling us metalcore for a long time, and
now we're going to have to add another word — like emo metalcore.
We'll need to create yet another genre, and people will start wearing
dresses after listening to this thing."
Of course, nothing could be further from the truth.
"There was really hardly any thought put into it at all,"
he recalled. "It just came out and we hadn't written in so long
that everyone had a lot to contribute. It felt more like the sessions
for [2002's] 'Alive or Just Breathing', where everyone was contributing,
and everyone had a say. That is more, to me, what the KILLSWITCH style
is. But, it is the typical line that everyone gives you — that
this is a heavier album — but it kind of is. It's definitely way
heavier. There are still the melodic choruses here and there, and there's
a lot to latch onto. But it's heavy."
"As Daylight Dies" is the result of more than a month and
a half in the studio with KILLSWITCH guitarist and one of metal's "it"
producers, Adam Dutkiewicz (UNDEROATH, ALL THAT REMAINS). Dutkiewicz
will also be mixing the record, which will feature a dozen songs, including
"This Is Absolution", "For You" and the title track.

- ‘TRIUMPH OR AGONY’
IN STORES SEPTEMBER 26, 2006
For the past nine years, or to be more precise, since the opening notes
of their sensational debut album, Legendary Tales, RHAPSODY have been
one of the most unusual phenomena of the current metal scene. The band’s
core members, guitarist Luca Turilli and keyboard player Alex Staropoli,
have reached yet another zenith in their creative journey with the new
album Triumph Or Agony.
Due to copyright and trademark issues the band formerly known as Rhapsody
has changed its name to Rhapsody Of Fire. The band members consider
this a great new start, reflecting the emboldened and increasingly grandiose
direction that their music has taken. “The power of the dragon
flame will burn brighter than ever before,” says guitarist/songwriter
Luca Turilli. Keyboardist/songwriter Alex Staropoli adds, “The
name Rhapsody Of Fire better represents the energy that has always been
present in this band and its music.”
A new tour is planned and a new album is on the way, Rhapsody Of Fire
will continue to explore musical fantasy worlds with the precision musicianship
and unique symphonic concepts that their fans have come to expect and
adore. Fresh on the heels of the band’s first live album release,
Live In Canada 2005 - The Dark Secret, a new name and renewed vigor
ensure that Rhapsody Of Fire still hold the passion and power that have
always been associated with their music.
- Features the 50-piece BRNO Academy Choir and 60-piece Bohuslav Martinu
Philharmonic Orchestra
- Legendary actor Christopher Lee appears once again, as the narrator
of "The Wizard King"
- Produced by Luca Turilli and Alex Staropoli together with Sascha Paeth
(Angra, Kamelot....)
- Cover Design by famous fantasy artist Jeff Easley
- A U.S. tour with MANOWAR is currently being planned
LINE-UP:
Fabio Lione - vocals
Luca Turilli - guitars
Alex Staropoli - keyboards
Patrice Guers - bass
Alex Holzwarth – drums

- Premiere: TO-MERA
Candlelight USA has debuted at the label's official MySpace page "Blood"
from To-Mera's forthcoming debut album, Transcendental. Bring your browser
to www.myspace.com/candlelightusa
for a listen. The song will additionally be featured on the upcoming
Knuckle Tracks sampler (companion piece to Brave Words Bloody Knuckles)
and available on the ProgPower Festival sampler for the sold-out annual
concert set for September 16 in Atlanta. The album will hit US stores
on October 3.
- BLUT AUS NORD NEW ALBUM CONFIRMED
Philadelphia: Candlelight Records today confirms October 3 as the US
release date of MoRT, the eagerly anticipated new album from French
extremists Blut Aus Nord. The album adds to the band's trilogy of albums
and growing stateside sales and fanbase.
Introduced to US audiences via their early 2004 Candlelight debut The
Work Which Transforms God and 2005 issue of their previously unavailable
catalog Memoria Vestusta and Ultima Thulee, Brave Words Bloody Knuckles
says, “Blut Aus Nord pushes the definition of music; disfigured,
anti-social, pure, raw black metal... Eccentric.” Ultimate Metal
calls The Work Which Transforms God, “grim, forward-thinking...
probably one of the most amazing black metal albums of the last several
years.”
With MoRT, Blut Aus Nord have crafted an album that is complex, haunting
and sure to draw the band continued fan and media applause. A singular
composition consisting of eight united chapters, MoRT contains the gruesome
soundtrack that has quickly become the trio’s acclaimed hallmark.
Nearly two years in the making, the album incorporates uniquely innovative
guitar play (layering similar to early Emperor), a corrosive rhythm
section and bitter vocals. Kerrang says it best when calling the band’s
music, “the sound of underground metal's black heart, twisted
beyond all recognition."
Formed in 1994, the faceless Blut Aus Nord have enjoyed a steadily increasing
worldwide sales and fanbase. Metal Maniacs, Terrorizer, Kerrang, Decibel
and many others commend the band’s sinister sound, often likened
to a metamorphis of Darkthrone, Neurosis and Godflesh.
- MERCENARY New ecard online!
Danish MERCENARY have a new ecard online. On the ecard you can discover
details on the band, 4 Songs off their upcoming new album “The

a preview of the more than 120 minutes long bonus DVD that comes along
with the CD. If you like what you hear and see, you can already order
it at various shops, so surf there now!
On August 21st, 2006, MERCENARY will release “The Hours That Remain”
via Century Media Records. The follow-up to the critically acclaimed
and much-lauded “11 Dreams” (2004), once again presents
an intense musical entity formed out of influences from death-prog masters
Opeth to prog-power archetypes Nevermore/Fates Warning to modern extreme-but-melodic
acts like Soilwork.
Like its predecessor, “The Hours That Remain” was recorded
and mixed by Jacob Hansen (Communic, Maroon, Hatesphere). Brilliant
artwork created by Travis Smith (Death, Katatonia, Opeth) visually refines
this brilliant release. It will be available as standard jewel case
CD and limited edition CD+DVD containing an exclusive bonus DVD filled
with 120 minutes of “Making of” documentary and live footage.

- DRAGONLAND Recording new album!
On July 24, 2006 Swedish melodic metal outfit DRAGONLAND entered Studio
Fredman (In Flames, Hammerfall, Dimmu Borgir) to record their fourth
full-length album with mastermind Fredrik Nordström producing.
The follow up to 2004's highly acclaimed album “Starfall”
will be visually refined by cover art conceived by art genius Niklas
Sundin (Arch Enemy, In Flames, Dark Tranquillity) and photos shot by
camera wizard Olle Carlsson (H.I.M, The Haunted, Soilwork).
The album will bear the title "Astronomy", and is set for
a November 2006 release through Century Media Records.
Guitarist/composer Olof Mörck comments on the new opus:
"This album is another huge step on the way of finding our unique
galaxy in the melodic metal firmament. It is partially a musical resumé
of our career so far, retaining all the core elements that made DRAGONLAND
what it has always been about, but most of all it is a progression towards
the future of metal and powerful music in general. The two years since
the “Starfall” album have been spent with full time composing
and writing the new album, with occasional breaks of touring and gigging
for inspiration and feedback, like the Yngwie Malmsteen tour last year.
I personally feel that this album is what I always wanted us to create
- unified, yet diverse; conceptual, yet not limited to a certain mood
or atmosphere; very heavy and powerful, yet extremely melodic. I really
hope and believe that when the listeners put in the CD, and the first
song "Supernova" explodes from the speakers they will feel
that this is something they've never heard before. Thenceforward it
is a musical journey of bombastic soundscapes, trough sublime acoustic
sections, to heavy and pounding riffing, all wrapped up by the epic
14 minute movie score song, “The Old House on the Hill”
which alone took 5 months of intense labour to write. Be ready for stellar
phenomena and astral ascension in November!"
So, be prepared for a magnum opus of searing melodies, outstanding musicianship
and sheer heaviness.
Press on the predecessor “Starfall”:
“This mixture of pounding double bass, powerful keyboards, razor
sharp riffing, and beautiful choirs creates a positive life of its own,
which proggies and melodic metal heads should instantly embrace.”

- THE HAUNTED Reveal new album title; celebrate 10th anniversary!
Sweden’s THE HAUNTED - labelled as "the single greatest exponents
of balls-out metal in the world" (KERRANG! Magazine) - are about
to return with the follow-up to 2004’s critically acclaimed “rEVOLVEr”
album, which saw original vocalist Peter Dolving return to the band’s
ranks and resulted in the ultimate contemporary masterpiece for the
whole extreme music movement!
On October 30, 2006, THE HAUNTED will release “The Dead Eye”,
the band’s fifth official studio album, guitarist Anders Björler
comments on the working process:
"I just got the final master from Tue Madsen (our producer) with
all the tracks in the final order, and it simply sounds killer. Completing
"The Dead Eye" basically took all spring, starting with some
rehearsing and pre-production early January. We left the Antfarm studio
in early June a bit perplexed but with a sense of having created something
very strong and powerful. You always feel a bit weird after a recording
session. It's hard to distance yourself from your work, but this time
we all felt that we had accomplished something out of the ordinary.
Working with Tue Madsen as engineer/producer has been great, and it
surely reflects on the album. Tue has the same kind of musical background
as all of us, so it was pretty easy to communicate ideas and to explain
our vision."
So get ready for a stunning new album merging blistering titanic modern
thrash with some surprising new additions to THE HAUNTED’s naturally
intense soundscapes! In addition to that, THE HAUNTED just celebrated
their tenth year of existence after being founded on July 27, 1996.
Guitarist Anders on this special moment in the band’s history:
“We wish to thank all the people that have been working with us
from the start, and of course a big thanks to our fans supporting us
through the years!”THE HAUNTED will play some well chosen dates
around the release of „The Dead Eye“:
01.11.06 London (UK) Underworld

- HEAVEN SHALL BURN New song “Counterweight” online!
Germany’s best-known death metal & hardcore hybrid, HEAVEN
SHALL BURN, delivers a new appetizer for its forthcoming new album “Deaf
To Our Prayers” (European street date: August 28, 2006), by posting
the song “Counterweight” on the Century Media artist page.
Just click here!
Guitarist Maik Weichert on the meaning of the song:
“We open-minded and responsible people can think and act for ourselves;
we are not going to have our minds surrender to control and manipulation.
Maybe some GOD has given us a brain, so we should use it and not rely
on facts prepared by others. We are not against sincere and modern Christians
who do good things and love ‘thy neighbour’. Still, some
fundamentalist religious organisations like the “Jesus Revolution
Army” are striving for power and influence and target society
where it is most vulnerable: the youth. Secularisation is one of the
greatest achievements of modern societies, and it needs to be defended.
We are the ‘Counterweight!’”

JOHNSTOWN, Penn. – Longstanding death metal outfit Incantation
will release its latest album, “Primordial Domination,”

The record – the band’s seventh – sticks to Incantation’s
tried and true recipe for brutal death metal, complemented with more
leads and a crushing production.
“We feel very strong about the new material,” said guitar/vocalist/founding
member John McEntee. “We never seem to run out of unholy dark
metal movements.”
A track from the album, “Lead to Desolation,” is posted
on the band and label’s official and MySpace sites.
“Primordial Domination” was recorded at Mars Recording Compound
during the spring with the band’s current lineup of McEntee, drummer
Kyle Severn, and bassist Joe Lombard. The album was recorded with engineer
Bill Korecky, whom the band has worked on its previous five releases.
“These songs are really cool,” Korecky said. “The
band approached me with a great production idea. They always move forward.”
Incantation previewed “Primordial Domination” on its Decades
of Death US tour this summer with Vital Remains and Dawn of Azazel,
as well as the hugely successful Diezmando a La Cristiandad tour of
Spain last month, performing the last show for the “Decimate Christendom”
album at the Gran Canaria in Las Palmas.
“We all had a great time and some killer shows,” said McEntee.
“Both Trauma Production and Irredemption helped make this tour
a truly a great experience.” For the Spanish tour, bassist Roberto
Lizárraga for Infantum Obscure, who has helped out Incantation
in the past, stepped in. “He did an amazing job on this tour,”
McEntee said. “His dedication is something that we are truly grateful

- BLINDED COLONY Sophomore Release Date Pushed Back To November, Artwork
Available
Swedish Melodic Death metal quintet BLINDED COLONY, have announced that
they will push the release of their sophomore album titled Bedtime Prayers
back one month. BLINDED COLONY guitarist Tobias Olsson recently posted
the following message on the band’s Official
Website and Myspace
Blog Section concerning the release of Bedtime Prayers.
“Hey guys! Today I have some rather bad news, as you all know
we’ve been working our asses off on the new album Bedtime Prayers
but unfortunately we have to postpone the release to the 10th of November
in Europe and 14th of November worldwide through Pivotal Rockordings.
The reason for this is that we simply couldn’t make the deadline:
Schuster has been screaming his lungs out and therefore got himself
a very soar throat, which means delays.
“On the good side the album will only be delayed one month. Thanks
for you patience and I’m confident that all Blinded Colony supporters
WILL be more than satisfied with the result this time.”
BLINDED COLONY has also recently posted the cover art for Bedtime Prayers,
which has been created by Davide Nadalin of Nerve
Design. Click HERE
to see the artwork
Blinded Colony’s second album, titled Bedtime Prayers will be
released on November 10 in Europe and November 14 worldwide. The band
plans to take part in some serious gigs upon the time of the release.
Bedtime Prayers, is currently being recorded at SoundPalace Studios
(Faith, Overdrive, One58, Fourever) with band guitarist and producer
Johan Blomström. The band’s previous album, Divine, was also
recorded at SoundPalace and was released through Scarlet Records in
2003. Two complete tracks from Divine are available for download and
stream on the band’s MYSPACE
PAGE.

album of 2005.
Making their domestic premiere are songs "Walking In The Air,"
"Deep Silent Complete," "Sleeping Sun" and "Ever
Dream," heretofore only available on hard-to-find and limited import
singles for North American fans. The collection also includes the first
and second singles from the Once album. "Nemo," the first
single debuted at #1 on the German charts, stayed in the U.K. charts
for more than a year, received the "2004 Best Song" award
from Germany's Rockantenne and helped propel the band's 2004 album Once
to triple platinum in Finland, platinum status in Germany and Gold in
Greece and Sweden. The second single, "Wish I Had An Angel,"
debuted in both the Finnish and German charts at #1 and appeared in
the soundtrack for the movie Alone In The Dark. Whether you have been
following the band since their debut release, Angels Fall First, or
have been working your way back from 2004's Once this collection brings
together their best.

- FEAR FACTORY CRUSHES THE U.S.
The MACHINES AT WAR Tour
With guests: Suffocation, Hypocrisy and Decapitated
HOLLYWOOD - FEAR FACTORY Headline The Deadliest Tour Of The Year. FEAR
FACTORY defy musical borders, break conventional arrangement, and influence
metal bands worldwide. Now FEAR FACTORY are armed with another successful
album, equipped to blast the tour doors open with a brutally metal militia
in tow.
Headling the MACHINES AT WAR North American tour, FEAR FACTORY wage
war from the West, preparing to leave the powerless in their bloody
wake. Rivals in the East, bring the menacing SUFFOCATION to the helm
while HYPOCRISY battle to the death with Viking valor and DECAPITATED
gather their mercenaries to prove the unholiness of Poland. All corners
of the nation will find themselves compelled to witness the massacre
of the MACHINES AT WAR and engage in the armed conflict of metal!
Say’s FEAR FACTORY drummer, Raymond Herrera, “I’m
really excited about doing a heavy tour like this. A brutal line-up
full of metal pioneers has been a long time coming. I guarantee a lot
of our fans will agree. Plus you’ll be certain to hear some FEAR
FACTORY songs that have not been played live in quite some time.”
FEAR FACTORY have often been referred to as forefathers of metal with
soaring, anthemic choruses, a vast, loyal fan following and a long consistent
history of successful releases. The most recent album Transgression,
unleashed by Calvin Records on August 23rd, 2005, proved FEAR FACTORY
deserve the respect they have always received.
Also on the FEAR FACTORY front, producer Christian Olde Wolbers, and
Mnemic have commenced recording at Track Record Studios in Los Angeles
for the Danish band's yet-to-be-titled third album. This will be Olde
Wolbers' second production project, recently he manned the helm for
the upcoming debut from Threat Signal (Under Reprisal due out August
22nd) and he will also be producing the upcoming Bleed The Sky record
in late 2006.

- DAYLIGHT DIES video premiere
Candlelight proudly announces the online premiere of "Lies That
Bind," the first video from Daylight Dies. Bring your browser to:
www.daylightdies.com,
www.myspace.com/candlelightrecordsusa
or www.myspace.com/daylightdies
to check it out now.
Filmed outside the band's home base of Raleigh, North Carolina, the
Ramon Boutviseth directed clip features the full band with local actors
in a dark and compelling visual storyline. "It was a scorching
hot and humid summer day," recalls drummer Jesse Haff. "We
filmed inside a filthy, decaying building complex and later moved on
to a rickety wooden salt-mine platform. And let us not forget to mention
entire walls on fire! Ramon understood the importance of including a
narrative to convey the song's lyrical and musical content. It's incredible
what he's brought to life."
Released earlier this year, Dismantling Devotion is the second full-length
recording from the popular five-piece. Mixed by Jens Bogren at Fascination
Street Studios (Opeth/Soilwork) and mastered by Thomas Eberger at The
Cutting Room (Opeth/The Hives), Blabbermouth says, "Dismantling
Devotion is 53 minutes of metallically heavy and sorrowfully suffocating
songwriting... the songs are not meant to be eaten as snacks; each is
a full-course meal." Digital Metal adds, "Dismantling Devotion
just enthralls and captivates with its blending of moods and perfectly
paced songwriting."
Daylight Dies recently performed to capacity audiences alongside labelmates
Emperor at New York's BB King Blues Club. The band are currently preparing
for their first tour in years supporting Moonspell and long-time friends
Katatonia. The tour kicks off in Poughkeepsie, New York on October 20
and will conclude on November 19 in Hartford, Connecticut. Complete
listing of dates is available at www.candlelightrecordsusa.com.

- 'PILLAR' NEW CD & TOUR! I
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
PILLAR 'The Reckoning' to release October 3rd, 2006
Lead radio single & debut video to impact August 2006
Headlining “Days of Reckoning Tour” planned for fall 2006
As evidenced by their fourth release overall, The Reckoning, the Oklahoma-based
quartet, Pillar, continue to hone their melodic yet simple and tough
sound. “We’re all from the Midwest. It’s all about
real rock and roll,” explains singer Rob Beckley. And while Reckoning
should appeal to fans of good ol’ rock and roll, there is a modern
edge to the tunes as well – the Tool-esque “Awake,”
the Jimmy Eat World-like “Sometimes,” and the Rage Against
the Machine vs. AC/DC heavyweight bout, “Everything.”
Produced by Travis Wyrick and Pillar and mixed by David Bendeth (Hawthorne
Heights, As I Lay Dying, Breaking Benjamin), The Reckoning carries on
the Midwest’s legacy of rich rock with sounds and themes inspired
by Pillar’s home turf.
“The majority of this country is small-town America and suburban
living out in the middle of nowhere,” comments frontman Rob Beckley.
“Those type of hardworking people, that’s who we are, that’s
where we come from. Rock and roll in the Midwest is rock and roll.”
Pillar innovates its rock and roll style on The Reckoning, experimenting
with musical genres, vocal technique and song narratives. Tracks like
“Sometimes” skips with infectious punk urgency while the
melancholy ballad “Angel in Disguise” is lyrically laid
out like a country tune. Beckley also uses his voice as an instrument
for the first time in the haunting introduction to “Last Goodbye.”
“We’re concerned with what our fans think of us,”
Beckley grants. “And we don’t want to let them down, but
at the same time we know that in order to grow you can’t stay
stagnant.”
Releasing simultaneously on Oct. 3 will be a special edition of The
Reckoning, comprising the new album and featuring a bonus DVD with over
3 _ hours of footage, including a 2006 performance, as well as song
commentaries by the band, and a ‘how to’ section (in which
the members explain the equipment they use, the technical aspects of
songs, etc.)
Pillar’s first single from the record, “Everything,”
goes for adds at Rock and Active Rock radio in August. The band will
headline the “Days of Reckoning Tour” this fall featuring
Kids in the Way, Dead Poetic and Showdown. For more information, visit
www.pillarmusic.com.
Since the band’s 2001 debut Above, Flicker Records artist Pillar
has seen unprecedented success in every aspect of its career. With over
700,000 lifetime sales (including Fireproof and Where Do We Go From
Here both approaching 300,000 units scanned), headlining seven national
tours, performed for more than two million people, and been featured
on the covers of Radio & Records, Rockline Magazine, and HM Magazine.
The band has also received print coverage in Rolling Stone, Spin, Bass
Player, and Hit Parader.
Pillar’s video “Bring Me Down” saw heavy rotation
on the Fuse TV program “Rockzilla” and was voted No. 1 at
Fuse TV’s “Oven Fresh.” The band additionally won
Fuse TV’s Next Big Thing award. The band will be filming a performance
based video for the first single, “Everything” on a 10,000
acre ranch in Kansas.

- NEVERMORE – Nevermore, In Memory & The Politics Of Ecstasy
re-issues to include exclusive bonus material!
Seattle’s NEVERMORE have opened their vault unveiling previously
unreleased material to be included as bonus content for the September
5th re-issues of their three early releases: Nevermore, In Memory, and
The Politics Of Ecstasy. All three classics are presented with revamped
artwork, as well as extended liner notes written by metal’s premier
journalist Martin Popoff with contributions from frontman Warrel Dane.
All three releases and their bonus content have been remastered as well,
intensifying the audio experience.
After the break-up of cult metal band Sanctuary, former members vocalist
Warrel Dane, bassist Jim Sheppard, and guitarist Jeff Loomis formed
the band NEVERMORE, signing with the then-young metal label Century
Media and releasing their self-titled debut in 1995. Century Media is
proud to present the original release expanded with five bonus tracks,
as well the video for “What Tomorrow Knows”.
The debut’s follow-up was the darker, more melancholic In Memory
EP which expanded the band’s daringly intense, technically flawless
style with an entirely new dimension that is still part of their unique
sound. Now featuring exclusive demo recordings, today’s version
of the EP reaches album length and is an essential collector’s
item for long-term fans as well as a great starting point for new ones.
NEVERMORE’s second full-length album, 1996’s The Politics
Of Ecstasy, was graced by a monstrous sound and featured songs that
have remained fan favorites and in the band’s live set. The band’s
classic cover of Judas Priest’s “Love Bites” as well
as the video for “Next In Line” expands this masterly work
of lyrical cynicism, depressing moods and brilliant musicianship.
