- New release: THE AURORA PROJECT - "Unspoken Words"!
After a long wait, we now have started the promotion of our next release,
the debut album by the Dutch band THE AURORA PROJECT, entitled "Unspoken
Words". The band was one of the revelations at the ProgPower Europe
festival the first weekend of October, so now it is time to seriously
start promoting the album. The band has arranged a release party on
Friday 25 October, at Scum in their hometown Katwijk. Check out the

- CHAOSWAVE has mixed and mastered the debut CD.
Italian band CHAOSWAVE has just finished mixing and mastering the album,
plus all the artwork is done. The album will be entitled "The White
Noise Within", promotion will start at the end of November, so
expect a release date of end December / early January. We are very excited
about this new release, probably our most important release to date.
The band is described as the ultimate mix of Nevermore and Lacuna Coil,
the demo gets and overwhelming response in the media and the band sold
over 1000 copies of the demo within a few months. The release party
in their home country Italy is scheduled for Friday 16 December, a 2-week
tour through Denmark, Germany, Holland and Belgium is scheduled for
February-March 2006. Keep an eye on this band, you will be pleasently

ProgPower Europe 2006 is scheduled for Friday 29 September (pre-party),

Heavy metal icons Judas Priest will release the new live DVD 'Rising
In the East' on November 15, 2005, via Rhino Home Video.
Vocalist Rob Halford, lead guitarists Glenn Tipton and K.K. Downing,
bass guitarist Ian Hill and drummer Scott Travis filmed 'Rising In The
East' in May 2005 at the legendary Budokan in Tokyo, Japan. The definitive
Judas Priest lineup played two sold-out nights at the venue to promote
the early-2005 release of the critically acclaimed studio album 'Angel
Of Retribution,' their first new material in 15 years. 'Rising In The
East' is Judas Priest's first straight-to-DVD release.
"We talked about doing a DVD on this tour and we decided to do
it at the Budokan because it's a special venue. It's world-renowned.
We thought it was an ideal choice," says Tipton. "We filmed
both nights but we ended up using the second night only for this DVD.
We wanted it to be as live and as real as possible, and when you start
taking from different shows there isn't continuity. We wanted it to
be one show and that's exactly what it is."
"I think what 'Rising In The East' displays to Priest fans is the
first time seeing us reunited for a full-length show in the DVD format,"
Halford says. "I think the DVD compounds all the great things that
Priest fans and metal fans all around the world love about the band.
Priest is still a powerful, physical, full-on experience in the live
domain. What this DVD is intended to do is give longtime Priest fans
another great memory to add to their collection, and it's also an opportunity
for new Priest fans to explore all the great things we're achieving
three decades later."
'Rising In The East' is bursting with Judas Priest classics from albums
such as 'Sad Wings Of Destiny,' 'Sin After Sin,' 'Stained Class,' 'Hell
Bent For Leather,' 'British Steel,' 'Point Of Entry,' 'Screaming For

'Angel Of Retribution' we've played five or six songs from it during
the time we've been out, which is a lot. That shows how good the album
is and how well-received it has been. It's been very rewarding to see
the positive reaction to the new material."
"The DVD is a full two-hour display of highlights from Priest's
career over the last three decades," Halford says. "We take
you on a metal journey from 'Sad Wings Of Destiny' right up to 'Angel
Of Retribution.' Between those two points in time, 'Rising In The East'
includes music that is significant to us and to our fans. In that respect,
this DVD is quite unique."
The audio, which was mixed by longtime Judas Priest producer Tom Allom,
is presented in 5.1 Surround Sound.
"Tom's never totally been away. We've always kept in touch with
him. He's a good friend and we worked with him for many, many years,"
Tipton says. "On the live aspect, Tom is the ideal man. He knows
the band inside out. He knows what we like, and he's got a great set
of ears."
"He is a significant figure in the history of Judas Priest,"
Halford says. "He's made the same metal journey as we have. We
were waiting for an opportunity to work together with him again. There's
a built-in feeling of security because Tom knows us so well musically.
We knew we could hand him a project like this and let him go at it with
all the right attributes and complete something that's going to make
us happy and make the fans happy."
Japan has been an incredibly important part of Judas Priest's career.
The band's first-ever live album, 1979's 'Unleashed In The East (Live
In Japan),' was recorded in the "Land of the Rising Sun,"
so it's only fitting that the eagerly awaited 'Rising In The East' DVD
originate from there too.
"Judas Priest was one of the first bands to invade that country
with metal," Halford says. "Even though we made the DVD in
Japan, it really represents the relationship that Judas Priest has with
fans around the world."

It was ten years ago when THE GATHERING recorded their break-through

- DRAGONFORCE RELEASE INHUMAN RAMPAGE

Following a hugely successful Summer and Autumn, during which the 18
month campaign in support of their Sonic Firestorm album has seen them
wowing festival crowds around Europe before returning to the UK to play
yet another sell out tour, London based metallists DRAGONFORCE have
just completed work on their eagerly anticipated third album.
Inhuman Rampage contains eight brand new songs and will be released
on January 9th, 2006 on Sanctuary’s Noise Records label. The album
recording sessions were made at Thin Ice Studios in Virginia Water (Surrey)
and guitarist Herman Li’s own studio in West London between April
and September, while production duties were shared between Li, fellow

October 19, 2005 -- Thanks to the enormous success of their hit single,
"Ugly," SEVENDUST's newly-released fifth album, NEXT (WineDark/7Bros

200 Albums" chart at #20 and SoundScan's "Hard Music"
chart at #4, selling 41,103 its first week out.

Eagle Rock Entertainment, the leading independent source for high quality

the band's 2005 Reunion Tour, Live in London immortalizes a vicious

- AGALLOCH To Release Pale Folklore Double LP In Special Wooden Jacket
Edition
To commemorate AGALLOCH'S exclusive appearance at this year's Day Of
The Equinox Festival, Profound Lore Records had specially crafted, a
handful of custom-made wooden box vinyl jackets that will house this
exclusive limited edition package of the Pale Folklore double LP. This
wooden box edition of the LP version of Agalloch's debut album will
be extremely limited to only 60 hand-numbered (by Agalloch mastermind
John Haughm) copies and will be considered the ultimate Agalloch collector's
item. The specs for this edition go as follows:
-- Wooden jackets are made of fresh fine pine wood
-- 30 Wooden jackets are personally stained with Olde Maple Gloss (for
a more terse, coarse, and edgier texture - in look and feel)
-- The other 30 will be personally stained with traditional Classic
Oak Gloss
-- The Pale Folklore insignia laser-etched in lavish Fette Fraktur font
on the front of the wooden case.
-- Double LP will be presented in a limited white vinyl with a wintery-blue
splatter (as opposed to the regular blue vinyl in which the LP will
be released as on it's scheduled release date in early Nov)
-- This limited edition set will include six original and authentically
developed photo prints chosen by John Haughm himself. Each photo will

evening at the Day Of The Equinox show in Toronto that will occur on

- IN FLAMES SIGN TO FERRET
Sweden's IN FLAMES have inked a US record deal with Ferret Records.The
band's already completed new album, Come Clarity, is scheduled for a
February 7, 2006 North American release. The CD will be issued in Europe
on February 6, 2006 via Nuclear Blast Records.
The follow-up to 2004's Soundtrack to Your Escape, Come Clarity was
mixed at Tonteknik studio in Umea, Sweden and is "the best one
we've ever done," according to IN FLAMES guitarist Jesper Stromblad.
"It's kind of a mixture between the new stuff and the old stuff,"
Stromblad told Greece's Metal Temple webzine in a recent interview.
"Like the previous two albums were a little bit experimental for
us, we changed producers and we changed studios. So we took all the
good stuff from the old stuff and the new and we did this album and
it's brilliant.It's awesome. ...Musically it's more up tempo, more melodic
to show that we have so much more to give and we're really hungry. The
best album is yet to come."

Nicole Bogner is to leave the band with immediate effect. Due to the
changes in her personal and professional life, Nicole Bogner & Vsions
of Atlantis have decided to go separate ways from now on. The split
with the female singer happened in friendship, and VoA want to thank
Nicole for everthing she has done with and for the band.
Visions of Atlantis announce the professional soprano singer Melissa
Ferlaak as the new female singer.
Melissa Ferlaak, 26 from Minneapolis, Minesotta, graduated with a Master's
Degree from New England Conservatory in Boston, Massachusetts in 2003
for vocal performance.
She has worked in the operatic field, most recently as Musetta in La
Boheme, and has been singing with Aesma Daeva.
New VoA concerts are being scheduled at the moment, and the songwriting
for the upcoming album is almost finished!

to our attention that there is an epidemic if you will in Kentucky involving
one of our bands, CIRCLE OF DEAD CHILDREN. This email was sent to the
parents of the community regarding this issue:
"The band Circle of Dead Children has been found on the hard drives
of over 3/4 of the students at local private high school Sayre (Lexington,
KY). All of the students at this school carry laptops because it is
a requirement of the school and with over 1000 students, the amount
of infected individuals is appalling. Two days ago, a student was found
listening to the band while in math class. The teacher grabs the headphones
and is shocked to hear what she hears. Deep, disturbing and crude 'music'
that goes beyond any other devil music heard in the past. Obvious, blatant
and blunt description of death and destruction of humanity. At the moment,
Sayre school is under full investigation by both the PTA and local christian
groups. The goal of the investigation is to find the root of this 'digital
daemonic virus' called Circle of Dead Children." -School news email

Formed in the early 1990s, Apartment 213 was and is the complete opposite
of what music in Cleveland sounded like, combining blast beats and metal
riffs with slow, sludgy, down tuned rhythms and barked vocals. Lyrical
content ranges from the inner thoughts of serial killers to their actual
actions and the depravity of human nature. Apartment 213 took a hiatus
in the late 90's and early 2000's but are back with a stripped down
line up, but a more brutal attack.

“Unquestionably the most influential band in extreme music's ferocious
history,” (Decibel’s Albert Mudrian) Birmingham’s
Napalm Death have recently confirmed their first full North American
tour alongside thrash metal legends Kreator. Their latest “unrepentantly
crushing and fiercely climactic”(Metal Maniacs) epic The Code
Is Red… Long Live The Code has made fans “love the smell
of Napalm in the morning - again!" (All Music Guide). Enthusiastic
about the tour vocalist Barney Greenway commented, “I know a lot
