March 14th, 2008	REVEREND Recruits Bass Player hailing from NEW ORLEANS LA As previously reported REVEREND Bassist BRENDON KYLE enlisted in the United States Air Force and will be leaving to bootcamp this month (February)2008. In our quest to keep Metal Alive REVEREND would like to welcome MIKE FALLETTA hailing from NEW ORLEANS LA who will be the newest addition to the band. Davey Lee guitarist (REVEREND /BYFIST) commented "being that we knew Brendon would be leaving soon, we set out to find the best possible match that would do our music justice. We happened to see him perform at a club and when we pursued his talents he was just as excited to join with us as we were to have him in the band". Mike moved to Texas when Hurricaine Katrina devestated his world where he lost everything and had no choice but to start a new life somewhere else." Like its critically-acclaimed predecessor, The Longest Night, the new album was recorded with Matt Crooks at MCR Studios in Manassas, Virginia. Be Gone will now be mastered by Colin Davis of Imperial Mastering for a worldwide March release via the leading traditional heavy metal label Cruz del Sur Music. As a special treat for fans (and, it must be said, for the band themselves) the track "Dark New Life" features guest guitar solos from Mark Reale and Mike Flyntz from RIOT. Jim Dofka also appears for the third time on as many PHARAOH albums, contributing his extraordinary guitar chops to the song "No Remains". A release date, song samples, and cover art for Be Gone will be revealed in the coming weeks. PHARAOH will celebrate the new album and its ten-year history by performing live for the first time ever at Keep It True X on April 5, 2008, at Tauberfrankenhalle, Lauda-Königshofen, Germany. The festival is completely sold out as of September. For the occasion of their first live show ever, PHARAOH will be on stage with an extraordinary line-up featuring Hunter Ginn (CANVAS SOLARIS) on drums and guitarist Matt Crooks (DIVISION) as the second axe! "After lots of personnel changes, lots of struggle, and lots of hard work, we feel this is an album you'll be very happy with", guitarist Jason Jaeckel was quoted as saying. After a long search, new vocalist Andrew Vasa joined the lineup shortly before the album was completed, and laid his vocals down just in time. The members hold his talent in high regard. "I had been doing lead vocals for a long time, but we wanted a front person that could interact with the crowd more effectively. It's hard to entertain the crowd and perform brutal death metal vocals when you're busy concentrating on highly technical guitar riffs.", Jaeckel said. March 13th, 2008	MAGICIAN's debut album sold more than 1.000 copies in Japan in less than one month - The new album of the power metal band MAGICIAN, "Tales of the Magician", was released in Japan in December 19th by the label Soundholic (Grave Digger, Dark Funeral, Marduk, Evergrey, Nocturnal Rites, etc) and in less than one month sold more than 1.000 copies, a great achievement considering that it's their first album. Finland's melodic heavy metallers MASTERSTROKE will head up for their first European tour with Jon Oliva's Pain (the mastermind of Savatage). Tour will start from Norway's Karmøygeddon Metal Festival on 25th of April. Caravan goes through Norway, Denmark, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Spain and The Netherlands. Of course it was fake cameras, but they looked pretty real. While we were preparing the observation of the local branch office of a well-known fast food company, four police officers approached us and asked us what we were doing. Apparently worried citizens had called the cops telling them something suspicious was going on. I asked them if those “worried citizens” really meant us as there are many suspicious people walking around in the city of Leipzig! One of the policemen thought this was funny, another was seriously pissed off and the remaining two cops did not seem to get the joke, I think. Afterwards they got a little rougher and threatened to take us into custody. We were basically left with two options: Either we could shoot them down and bail, or simply solve the situation by showing them the camera man’s press card, what we eventually did. After the officers had contacted the police station and double-checked with their chief they let us go. Of course we were smart enough to secretly film the incident and it will always be a highly entertaining part of our private video collection. UNDERTAKER’S STATEMENT: DEATHCHAIN has come to a point where in order to grow bigger and more known as a band, more and more tours outside Finland must be done. It seems that DEATHCHAIN is going to be pretty busy on that matter. That means months away from Finland and for me, also months away from my day job. In my current situation in life, that job is something I just can’t afford to lose. Especially when doing tours as a support, usually there’s no income of any kind and for me that situation is financially impossible. It’s not fair that the whole band would be held back just because of me. Furthermore, I totally agree with the rest of the band that using someone to replace me on tours is totally lame and just plain stupid.
