- NEW YORK ROCKERS LIFE OF AGONY
RETURN WITH BROKEN VALLEY
QUARTET REUNITE FOR FIRST STUDIO ALBUM
IN EIGHT YEARS
TOURING WITH MUDVAYNE THIS SPRING
ALBUM IN STORES MAY 31
Epic Records has announced a May 31st release for BROKEN VALLEY, the
highly anticipated new album from New York rock quartet LIFE OF AGONY.
Fans have waited eight long years for a new LOA studio album and the
reunited band doesn't disappoint. Produced by Greg Fidelman (Jet, Audioslave,
Slipknot), BROKEN VALLEY is a potent, poignant and perfectly paced rock
album from a band whose creative spark is still smoldering.
"Personally, I think it's the best album we've ever done,"
says lead singer Keith Caputo. "It's super-raw and aggro and has
an energy all its own. It's amazing that we've been able to come together
after all these years and make an album like this."
LIFE OF AGONY - Caputo, guitarist Joey Z, bassist Alan Robert and drummer
Sal Abruscato - will preview BROKEN VALLEY during a much-buzzed-about
spring tour opening for headliners/Epic labelmates Mudvayne. The seven-week
trek begins March 29th at the Roy Wilkins Auditorium in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Also appearing on the bill will be openers American Head Charge and
bloodsimple.
"The process of recording was exciting," says Caputo. "But
we're anxious to get out there and release that energy on the road."
LIFE OF AGONY arrived in the early '90s and quickly made their mark
with their now-classic debut, 1993's River Runs Red. Over the course
of the half-dozen years that followed, the band released two acclaimed
studio albums (1995's Ugly and 1997's Soul Searching Sun), toured with
the likes of Ozzy Osbourne, Korn, System Of A Down and Incubus, and
garnered a diehard international following. After lineup changes and
musical differences led to a split in 1999, the foursome re-grouped
for two shows at Irving Plaza in January of 2003. They sold out within
minutes.
Additional dates and writing sessions followed, and by the time LIFE
OF AGONY finished a European summer tour alongside the Red Hot Chili
Peppers, Metallica and David Bowie, a new four-song demo had made the
rounds and piqued label interest. They inked a deal with Epic shortly
afterward and quickly headed into the studio to build BROKEN VALLEY.
The album's lead single will be "Love To Let You Down."
The full track listing is as follows:
"Love To Let You Down"
"Last Cigarette"
"Wicked Ways"
"Don't Bother"
"Strung Out"
"Junk Sick"
"The Calm That Disturbs You"
"No One Survives"
"Justified"
"The Day He Died"
"Broken Valley"
"Room 244"

- BEYOND THE FLESH TO RELEASE WHAT THE MIND PERCEIVES ON SCREAMING FERRET
WRECKORDS/ESCAPI MUSIC ON MARCH 29, 2005
The new breed of metal has arrived. Rocketing out of New Jersey with
a devastating sound and an impressive local fanbase, Beyond The Flesh
have quickly gained a foothold in the heavy music scene of today. After
their 2001 debut, Spawned From Flesh and Bone, the band became legendary
in the Garden State, drawing curious metal fans from far and wide and
leaving a trail of converted followers in their wake. With a sound that
not only borrows from all that is and once was great in metal, while
still standing well on their own eight feet, Beyond The Flesh have carved
an upwards swathe through the metal scene. The lineup of Justin Leary
(vocals, guitar), Senen Solis (drums), Rick Flanegan (lead guitar) and
Brian Gawaski (bass) recently signed a deal with Screaming Ferret Wreckords/Escapi
Music. With a true metal label behind them in 2005, Beyond The Flesh
are now prepared to release What the Mind Perceives, a brutal assault
of original melodic death/thrash. The band’s newest effort is
already winning much fan and media praise. BW&BK listed What the
Mind Perceives as one of the Top 10 Indie albums of the year. Expect
to see the band on the road soon, tearing the roof off of a venue near
you.

Stabbing The Drama On March 8th, 2005 Through Nuclear Blast Records
North American Tour With Hypocrisy, Mnemic And Dark Tranquillity To
Follow
In just a few years, SOILWORK's success has catapulted from a diminutive,
yet promising, melodic- metal band to one of the most popular and audacious
bands on the circuit today. On March 8, 2005, they will solidify this
status with the release of Stabbing The Drama through Nuclear Blast
Records. A band once dubbed as “One of The 25 Most Important Bands
In Metal” by Alternative Press Magazine, SOILWORK have never failed
to impress both the press and their fans and Stabbing The Drama is no
exception. While the band’s trademark blend of brutality and powerful
melodies remains to satisfy both new and old fans, they have continued
to grow creatively. The lineup of Bjorn “Speed” Strid (vocals),
Peter Wichers (guitars), Ola Frenning (guitars), Sven Karlsson (keyboards),
Ola Flink (bass) and Dirk Verbeuren (drums) continue the SOILWORK legacy
as the 11 tracks on Stabbing The Drama present solid, buzzsaw riffs,
powerful roaring vocals and a thunderous percussive attack. To support
the release of Stabbing The Drama, a North American tour with Hypocrisy,
Mnemic and Dark Tranquillity will begin in the Spring. SOILWORK will
be in good company as they once again cause thousands of fans to drop

UK POWER METAL
www.intense-uk.com
Press Release Feb 2005
So starts another year for the band after the Christmas break, Intense
are looking to have a year as busy as 2004.
There has been a recent update on the site with more reviews and interviews
to be added soon.
Studio News
Currently writing for the new album, Sean, Dave and Nick are writing
in their home studios before bringing their ideas to the rest of the
band. The recording of the new album is scheduled to begin on May 2nd
2005 for a period of 8 weeks and again the recording and mixing will
take place at the great Thin Ice Studios with Mr Karl Groom again at
the helm. Who is going to master the album is still to be decided.
The band will be looking for a new label to put the new album out as
the deal with Underground Symphony was a one album deal only, they are
getting interest already but one of the key factors for a new label
will be distribution. The possibility of putting the album out on Hetherington’s
Full Volume Records also exists.
When the new album artwork is finalized, the bands website will undergo
a compete overhaul.
The band will also be the subject of a “The making of “documentary
whilst in the studio and this will become a DVD that will be on a ltd
edition of the new album.
The band are looking to tour the new album Oct/Nov time and are looking
to secure both European and UK dates, supports will be announced and
will probably involve one of or more of the up n’ coming bands
that have approached INTENSE in recent times.
Intense are proud to announce that they have been asked to submit a
track to Power Metal.co.uk’s Charity compilation CD that will
be available soon. (more news when we have it)
- SOILENT GREEN COMPLETE WORK ON NEW ALBUM
Relapse Records recording artists SOILENT GREEN have completed work
on their long-awaited new album.
The follow up to the band's 2001 release, A Deleted Symphony for the
Beaten Down, the as-yet-untitled new SOILENT GREEN album was recorded
at Mana Studios, in Tampa, Florida by Producer / Engineer Eric Rutan
(PREMONITIONS OF WAR, HATE ETERNAL). Mastering duties are currently
underway courtesy of Alan Douches (MASTODON, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN)
at West West Side Music. Advance song titles include "Leaves of
Three," "Forgive & Regret" and "A Permanent
Solution to a Temporary Problem." SOILENT GREEN's forthcoming album
is scheduled for a summer, 2005 release date via Relapse.
SOILENT GREEN (Ben Falgoust: Vocals, Brian Patton [EYEHATEGOD]: Guitar,
Tony White: Guitar, Scott Crochet: Bass, Tommy Buckley [CROWBAR]: Drums),
who have undergone a string of band-related tragedies in recent years,
including multiple on-tour auto accidents and the shooting death of
former bassist Scott Williams, have channeled their recent life events
into their new music, returning with arguably the strongest recording
of their career. On the topic of the new album, SOILENT frontman Ben
Falgoust states, "Many unfortunate events have taking there toll
on our progress since our last release. Not only were the two accidents
a great stumbling block for our band and personally, but we also endured
the tragic, life-ending loss of a fellow musician and close friend Scott
Williams. All these things combined would bring most to just throw in
the towel and leave the past behind. As a band that has played together
for over 10 years, we are committed to each other to stick it out and
work hard to show no matter the outcome of tragedy in ones life, that
you have got to stand up and keep moving forward, no matter what holds
you back. In the end result we see a new album with 10 tracks of aggressive
heavy rock mixed with many other elements. It was a great feeling to
finally be able to make another record after all that we have been through.
Not to mention, to make that record better than anything SOILENT GREEN
has ever done before."
"Recording SOILENT GREEN has been a tremendous experience,"
said producer Eric Rutan. "I am grateful they gave me this opportunity
to prove my engineering and producing skills. This, I believe by far,
will not only be SOILENT GREEN's finest album, but my finest production
due to the professionalism, diversity, and dynamics of what they have
brought to the recording. All of you are in for one hell of an album."

- DIMEBAG DARRELL's ESTATE TO BE SPLIT EVENLY BETWEEN BROTHER AND FATHER
Anthony Spangler of the Star-Telegram has issued the following report:
The estate of slain metal guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott
should be split evenly between his brother and father, according to
court documents filed by the family Thursday in Tarrant County.
Abbott, 38, former guitarist of PANTERA, was fatally shot Dec. 8 at
a Columbus, Ohio, nightclub while playing with the band DAMAGEPLAN.
Four other people were fatally shot, including the band's bodyguard
and the gunman, who was killed by a police officer.
Although Abbott didn't leave a will, the family's attorney, Steve McClure,
said there is no infighting over the estate.
"He reiterated to just about everybody that he didn't have a will
because he didn't want to give anyone a reason," he said. "These
are class folks and you're not going to see them at the courthouse fighting
over nickels and dimes."
The estate is estimated at $700,000 — with his 4,230-square-foot
Dalworthington Gardens home valued at $450,000 and his personal property
listed at $250,000 — although the value of any copyrights he may
own was not specified.
The probate petition also requests that Abbott's older brother, Vinnie
Paul Abbott, 40, be named administrator of the estate.
Jeff Rasco, Darrell Abbott's business manager and accountant, said Vinnie
Paul Abbott, DAMAGEPLAN drummer and an ex-member of PANTERA, played
at a tribute concert in Chicago on Wednesday to benefit a memorial fund
for the shooting victims. It was the first time he played the drums
publicly since his brother's death, Rasco said.
Darrell Abbott's girlfriend, Rita Sue Haney, also attended the concert,
Rasco said. Haney, whose address in court documents is listed as Darrell
Abbott's home, is not named as a beneficiary of the estate. She could
not be reached for comment.
"It's a little preliminary to talk about specifics, but Rita's
going to be provided for," Rasco said. "Darrell knew her since
the third grade."
According to court documents, the family is asking the probate court
to name Vinnie Paul Abbott the administrator of the estate because it
is "necessary to recover damages due the estate."
The Abbotts have not filed a wrongful death lawsuit, but Tuesday's court
filing is a necessary step before claims can be filed, Rasco said.
"It's an awful thing to have to deal with the death of your brother
or son," he said. [Source: Blabbermouth.net]

- GIZMACHI SET TO UNVEIL THE IMBUING TO THE WORLD Debut CD To Be Released
on Big Orange Clown Records/Sanctuary Records May 3rd, 2005
New York, NY - Hailing from the land of upstate New York, Gizmachi will
release their debut CD, The Imbuing, on May 3rd on Big Orange Clown
Records, an imprint of Sanctuary Records. The Imbuing was produced by
M. Shawn Crahan, engineered by Josh Wilbur and recorded at Spin Studios
in New York City. Gizmachi is comprised of Sean Kane on vocals, Jay
Hannon and Mike Laurino on guitars, Kris Gilmore on bass and Jimmie
Hatcher on drums. A band could not ask for a better endorsement than
one from Crahan, who you may know for not only his musical vision, but
as Clown (#6) in metal superstar band Slipknot. As founder of Big Orange
Clown Records, Crahan chose to be the label’s inaugural release,
which speaks volumes to his belief in their music. The band recently
filmed the video for their first single “The Answer” last
week in New York. The video was directed by Crahan and produced by Doug
Spangenberg (Killswitch Engage, Lamb of God, Every Time I Die). Gizmachi
will also be heading out on the road to deliver the message of The Imbuing
live. Playing some warm up dates with (hed) p.e in February, the band
will then jump onto the Subliminal Verses tour with Slipknot, Shadows
Fall and Lamb of God. The band will open several nights of the tour
starting on March 4 in Hartford and ending on March 11 in Rosemont,
IL. Gizmachi have also been confirmed to appear at the New England Metal
Fest on April 24.
- KRYOBURN DEBUT SET FOR US RELEASE
Philadelphia: Candlelight Records in cooperation with Continental Entertainment
confirms April 5 as the US release date for Enigmatic Existence, the
debut album from Carlsbad, New Mexico's KRYOBURN.
Together for past three years this metallic four-piece have braved their
way from sea to sea, making stops and friends along the way. It was
during a performance in El Paso that the band would would make introduction
and impress Eddy Garcia of Pissing Razors fame. Numbers exchanged and
months later, the five men would regroup to lay down sounds that would
ultimately become Enigmatic Existence - the blistering debut album from
a band that won’t stay small much longer.
"This is one band that plays it like they want to and damn the
rules. KRYOBURN plays with a Pantera-like fury but their songwriting
is so different that to compare the two is almost impossible,"
says Roughedge.com. Vocalist/guitarist Todd Brashear says, "we
have only begun to create. We have a vision and will continue to pursue
that." Pooling the sounds and styles of Strapping Young Lad, Fear
Factory and the early power and might of Pantera, KRYOBURN are a young
band with a world of possibility.
Featuring Les and Chris Huber, Todd Brashear and Derrick Richards, KRYOBURN
are expected to hit the road shortly after the album's release. Confirmed
track listing for Enigmatic Existence is: Transience, Singularity, Atman
Project, Break Away, Against My Evil, Beneath Desire, De Animation,
Self Dead, Leech, To Pieces.

Thy Doom enhanced with 5 songs from the band's 1993 demo (www.occult.nu).
Dominion Reptillian, the full-length debut from Sweden's Hearse will
finally hit US shops on April 19. "Truly one-of-a-kind melodic
death n' roll," says Deadtide.com of the band fronted by former
Arch Enemy vocalist Johan Liiva. This much talked about recording features
select bonus material unavailable on the European pressing and will
preceed the release of the band's third album, currently titled The
Last Order, expected later in the year (www.hearse.se).
Their history is as colored, some say blackened, as their music. Dating
back to the late 90’s, Sweden’s Dissection are to early
Gothenburg as Entombed is to early Stockholm death metal. Their now
classic recordings, The Somberlain, The Storm of the Light’s Bane,
and Where Dead Angels Lie instantly propelled the band up death metal’s
rising hierachy, all before the untimely incarceration of vocalist/guitarist
Jon Nodtveidt in 1997. The Past is Alive, in stores April 5, contains
early material from this respected band, including selections from their
initial demos and the “Into Infinity Obscure” mini-album.
The record also features two songs by Satanized, the early band of Nodtveidt
with guitarist Johan Norman and drummer Tobbe Kellgren.
Norwegian Native Art from Einherjer sees long-awaited US release on
April 19. Originally released on the band's own label, this 1999 recording
was created at Andy LaRoques' (King Diamond) Los Angered Studios. Now
remastered by Peter In de Betou (Dimmu Borgir, Enslaved, Susperia) and
containing bonus material from the band's Blot recordings, this record
completes the recording history of this now defunct but highly respected
viking/melodic death metal band (www.einherjer.com).
Originally formed as a solo project for Children of Bodom guitarist
Sami Tenetz, doom/death metal band Thy Serpent have had scattered US
exposure due to unavailability of their recordings. This special 2-on-1
package set for release May 3 features both Forests of Witchery and
the popular mcd Lords of the Twilight, originally released in Europe
circa 1996-97.
In the coming months Candlelight will see US release of In Flames Lunar
Strain and Subterranean, both with extensive bonus material, the 2-on-1
pressing of Xysma's unavailable Lotto and Girl on the Beach, plus previously
unavailable recordings from Mercenary, Primordial, Entwine, Warmen,
Nihilist, Mithotyn, Windir, and much more.
- TUSKA OPEN AIR METAL FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES MORE ARTISTS
The eighth annual Tuska Open Air Metal Festival at Kaisaniemi Park in
Helsinki, Finland during 15.-17.7. has confirmed more Finnish and international
artists. The 2005 festival will once again present more than thirty
bands from different styles of metal, several of which will be announced
on a later date. Already at this point, it is once again evident that
there will be something for each and every taste, from old school thrash
to modern black metal and everything in between.
Saturday 16.7. will be headlined by the infamous Norwegian black metallers
Dimmu Borgir. The band has pushed the boundaries of symphonic black
metal with every record and are currently preaparing their next release.
That is the reason why the group has toured very scarcely in recent
times. Their Tuska-performance will be one of few selected festival
shows the band will do next summer. Dimmu Borgir was originally scheduled
to play at Tuska 2004 but after being offered one of the headlining
slots at Ozzfest, they obviously had to cancel their appearance.
Friday night will be closed by American Space-Stoner group Monster Magnet.
Vocalist Dave Wyndorf's trimmed moustache and leatherpants were last
witnessed on Finnish soil at last year's Ruisrock Festival, where allegedly
pants were wet, water turned to beer and the sun stopped shining during
their breathtaking performance. Expect no less at Tuska 2005 as well
as Ilosaarirock where Monster Magnet will take the stage on Saturday.
Finnish funeral atmosphere will be provided by Sentenced, who will embark
on their farewell tour over the summer. This true Tuska-veteran has
appeared on the bill several times, therefore it's more than appropriate
that their final tour will take them to Kaisaniemi Park, one last time.
Other international competence at Tuska 2005 will be represented by
German veteran thrashers Destruction and fellow germans Primal Fear,
who will give their debut Finnish performance at Tuska. Swedish goth
metallers Lake Of Tears and UK-based folkmetal group Bal-Sagoth have
been requested for a long time by the audience and finally the wait
is over, as both have been added to the roster. History is also in the
making, as Tuska 2005 will present the first Russian band in the festival's
history. Progressive death metallers Hieronymus Bosch have been in the
game since the early nineties, therefore their appearance at the festival
is very justified.
Speaking of firsts, another one is the debut performance by Wintersun,
the new melodic death metal supergroup spearheaded by ex-Ensiferum vocalist
Jari Mäenpää. Drum duties are performed by the extraordinaire
Rotten Sound -drummer Kai Hahto, second guitar is played by the young
Imperanon-axeman Teemu Mäntysaari and Norther-bassplayer Jukka
Koskinen will take care of the low end.
In addition to these already confirmed acts, both Finnish and international
artists will be added to the roster.
Tickets for Tuska 2005 will go on sale April 1st through Lippupalvelu
(www.lippupalvelu.fi).
The three day ticket costs 67 euros and day tickets cost 32 euros.
Current Tuska 2005 artist roster reads like this;
Accept (GER)
Dimmu Borgir (NOR)
Monster Magnet (USA)
Children Of Bodom
Testament (USA)
Sentenced
Finntroll
Destruction (GER)
Rotten Sound
Evergrey (SWE)
Primal Fear (GER)
Wintersun
Lake Of Tears (SWE)
Ajattara
Bal-Sagoth (UK)
Deathchain
Thunderstone
Scarve (FRA)
Naglfar (SWE)
Pain Confessor
Teräsbetoni
Turmion Kätilöt

- BRAND NEW SIN Signs With Century Media Records; Prepares For Motorhead
Tour
Hailed by All Music Guide as “an example of everything right about
hard rock,” the Syracuse-based BRAND NEW SIN has signed a worldwide
deal with Century Media Records. The group recently completed work on
their highly anticipated sophomore effort, tentatively titled Recipe
For Disaster . The album's summer release will be preceded by a series
of performances alongside rock legends Motorhead and Corrosion of Conformity,
kicking off March 9 in Sayerville, N.J.
“Brand New Sin is very pleased and excited to be part of the Century
Media family,” says vocalist Joe Altier. “Their dedication
to their artists is unmatched, and the successes of Shadows Fall, Lacuna
Coil, God Forbid and many others over the years is a testament to that.
Not only is the label comprised of hard-working mofo's, but they are
truly fans of the bands they work with. We look forward to a long and
successful run with them.”
The Southern-influenced hard rock quintet first burst upon the scene
in 2002 with their groundbreaking self-titled debut, which garnered
acclaim from such mainstream outlets as Billboard and Guitar One. The
group went on to earn a devoted legion of fans through relentless touring
with a wide array of artists, from Black Label Society and Slayer to
Breaking Benjamin and Saliva. It's the stunning blend of Altier's captivating
roar and melodic overtones mixed with the band's gritty, rock-solid
rhythm section, stunning dual guitar solos and pummeling hooks that
helps this group stand out from the pack and appeal to a diverse audience.
In conjunction with the Motorhead/C.O.C. tour, the band will release
a four-track EP titled Black And Blue next month. The title track "Black
And Blue" will serve as the first single from Recipe For Disaster
; the other three songs will be exclusive to the EP. The group will
also embark on a two-week tour of the Southeast starting on Feb. 17.
A complete list of currently confirmed tour dates appears below; more
dates will be added soon.
“ We can't wait to hit the road again,” says Altier, “and
to be doing it with Motorhead and C.O.C. is definitely a good way to
start a campaign! It's almost as if we have come full circle, because
when we did our first nationwide tour, it was with Motorhead. This tour
is just the beginning of what's to come. See you on the road!”
Just when you thought you've heard it all, BRAND NEW SIN returns with
an aggressive, blue-collar American hard rock album sure to create a
buzz that will transcend genres. For more information or interviews
with BRAND NEW SIN, feel free to contact me any time.

- NILE ALBUM TITLE ANNOUNCED
NILE guitarist/vocalist Karl Sanders has issued the following update
on the recording sessions for the group's new album: "We are now
finished with the mixes on the new NILE album, entitled Annihilation
of the Wicked. We are extremely happy with the mixes Neil Kernon [producer]
gave the new songs, he has given us a very clean, clear and honest yet
brutal representation of our new material. Now we are impatiently waiting
on the last step in the process — mastering. We hope to have the
album back in our hands by the end of this week, with a release date

- Brazilian purveyors of death KRISIUN are teaming up with Florida's
Hate Eternal and Century Family bands INTO ETERNITY, Incantation, and
All Shall Perish to ravage the U.S. this summer. Drummer Max Kolesne
offered his horns up to everyone, "It's great to be coming back
to the U.S., especially touring with our brothers in Hate Eternal and
Incantation. This tour is going to devastate! Posers will die and their
women will cry when the death metal demons rise." KRISIUN will
be supporting their new release Bloodshed, which contains eight new
tracks highlighting the kings of hyperspeed's diversity and musical
development. The album also includes four rudimentary corpse-grinding
tracks from their rare, cult, underground first release, the Unmerciful
Order EP (1993).

- VOID OF SILENCE farewell
"After 11 years since we started this adventure, after 6 years
since the band started its official activities and after three album
released together as VOID OF SILENCE, we decided to put an end to this
band.
We took this decision with sadness and bitterness, also we must admit
we yet reached our initial goal.
We would like to thank our worlwide fans, those who always trusted us
and those who supported us along the way.
A special thank you to Fabban and Alan Nemtheanga, who gave us the possibility
to release such incredible albums and to the whole code666 staff, always
supportive towards our music.
A great hail also to our old friends Andrea Toro, Alessandro Bianchi,
Riccardo Tran and Fabio Restano, who were beside us in the beginning.
We are not leaving the musical scene, just we will wear different dresses
and walk different ways, together as usual. Maybe one day things will
run in a different way, who knows...
Bye and thanx to all". - Riccardo Conforti and Ivan Zara.

On March 8th, 2005 Through Nuclear Blast Records

- AC/DC TO SHARE THEIR "FAMILY JEWELS" ON NEW DVD
"Best-Of" DVD will be legendary band's first career-spanning
release in any format, and will include rarely seen footage of original
AC/DC frontman Bon Scott
Over the course of their three-decade career, Rock & Roll Hall Of
Famers AC/DC have amassed a bevy of memorable performances that have
been captured on film, despite the fact that they've never catered to
MTV or network television. Now, the Aussie rockers are issuing a 2 DVD
set, Family Jewels, which will feature live performances and promo videos
spanning the band's career. Many of the clips have never been commercially
available, and many have never been seen in the U.S. The DVD will also
include special liner notes written by noted rock journalist David Fricke.
For the band's younger fans, this may well be their first time seeing
the legendary Bon Scott in action. The DVD starts with a rare cover
of the R&B chestnut, "Baby Please Don't Go," recorded
in April 1975 on the Australian TV show, Countdown. Bon Scott stunned
the studio audience (and no doubt everyone watching from home) with
his schoolgirl attire °V pigtails and girls' panties included. The
footage of the band performing "High Voltage," recorded live
in concert at Melbourne's Festival Hall two months later led to the
band signing their first U.K. record deal. Another highlight is the
promo video for "It's A Long Way To The Top," which was shot
in February of 1976 on the back of a moving flatbed truck in Melbourne's
business district. Longtime AC/DC fans may fondly remember the performance
of "Sin City" for the U.S. show Midnight Special, also included
here (the show was co-hosted that evening by AC/DC fans Steven Tyler
and Ted Nugent). Disc one ends with a February 1980 performance of "Girls
Got Rhythm" and "Highway To Hell," from the Spanish show
Aplauso.
Disc two begins with a number of videos from the band's most successful
album – and their first with Brian Johnson – 1980's Back
In Black. The album, one of the best selling records of all time, is
represented with seldom seen clips for "Hells Bells," "Back
In Black" and "Rock And Roll Ain't Noise Pollution."
A music video for that album's "You Shook Me All Night Long,"
shot in 1986 for AC/DC's Who Made Who (the band's soundtrack for Stephen
King's film Maximum Overdrive) is also included. The DVD also features
all five clips shot for the 1985 album Fly On The Wall, which saw the
band making a rare foray into special effects: an animated fly (from
the album's artwork) was superimposed into the videos.
AC/DC's Family Jewels, a 2 DVD set, will be released March
29th.

- MUDVAYNE ANNOUNCE HEADLINING TOUR
POWERHOUSE QUARTET RETURN TO THE ROAD WITH OPENERS LIFE OF AGONY, AMERICAN
HEAD CHARGE AND BLOODSIMPLE
BAND SHOOTS VIDEO FOR LEAD SINGLE "HAPPY?"
NEW ALBUM LOST AND FOUND IN STORES APRIL 12th
As they gear up for the April 12th release of highly anticipated new
album LOST AND FOUND, Epic recording artists MUDVAYNE have announced
plans for a seven-week headlining tour that begins March 29th at the
Roy Wilkins Auditorium in St. Paul, Minnesota. Also appearing on the
bill will be openers Life of Agony, American Head Charge and bloodsimple.
The tour follows Mudvayne's recent guerilla trek, a stripped-down, no-frills
road jaunt that saw the band tearing up packed-to-capacity venues across
the country as they previewed new songs for diehard fans. The quartet
(vocalist Chad Gray, guitarist Greg Tribbett, bassist Ryan Martinie
and drummer Matt McDonough) worked the crowd into a lather with new
tracks "Determined," "IMN" and much-buzzed-about

Hailing from the land of upstate New York, Gizmachi will release their
debut CD, The Imbuing, on May 3rd on Big Orange Clown Records, an imprint

by Josh Wilbur and recorded at Spin Studios in New York City. Gizmachi

A band could not ask for a better endorsement than one from Crahan,

Crahan chose to be the label’s inaugural release, which speaks
volumes to his belief in their music.

- AMORPHIS headlining U.S. Tour Dates!
Legendary Finnish metallers AMORPHIS have returned! Having spent more
than a decade reinventing modern metal they recently released their
sixth studio album, Far From The Sun, domestically through Nuclear Blast
America on September 4th, 2004.
Far From The Sun embarks on an immense beginning of a new era for the
band. Having had several guest musicians and outside producers on their
previous releases, AMORPHIS have this time confided only in themselves
and self-produced Far From The Sun in several studios across Finland
during the autumn and winter of 2002 and 2003. Uniting their Finnish
heritage with their metal roots, the band have yet again created their
own distinctive sound of strong, yet aggressive melodies with a traditional
concept.
Taking their name from "amorphous" meaning "no determinate
form or shape," Finland's most creative and acclaimed metal band
have certainly lived up to their name over the course of their 14-year
career. Setting a diverse, intricate and unique style to their musical
approach, often being described as "ahead of their time" all
the while accruing a massive and loyal international fan base selling
over 500,000 albums in the process (their catalogue has 'scanned close
to 100,000 in the US alone).

- BLACK ZODIAC, A METAL BAND BASED IN SOUTHERN FLORIDA,
AGREE TO BE REPRESENTED BY NYC ENTERTAINMENT AGENCY
NEW YORK CITY (FEBRUARY 21, 2005) – BLACK ZODIAC, a heavy metal
band based in Brandon, Fla., have agreed to be represented by DaSBro
Enteprise, a full-service entertainment agency based in New York City,
for bookings, management, and publicity.
BLACK ZODIAC was formed in 2002 by Cuban-born beauty, Mayelin. To Mayelin,
the name BLACK ZODIAC “represents all the different personalities
of the zodiac with the darkness behind them.”
BLACK ZODIAC is comprised of Mayelin (vocals), Aaron Robinson (bass/guitar),
and Jay Browing (drums).
In May 2004, BLACK ZODIAC released the debut album, “Psychotic
Hatred,” on Sonic Wave International Records. The eleven-track
album was produced by Juan “Punchy” Gonzalez (Morbid Angel’s
co-producer). “Psychotic Hatred” was serviced to radio stations
throughout the U.S., and it received airplay on more than 250 commercial
and non-commercial stations. Accompanying the release of the album was
a video for the tune, ‘Love in Darkness,’ which was solicited
to various video outlets throughout the country.
BLACK ZODIAC approaches their art differently than most of their contemporaries.
They focus on the “whole picture,” taking into consideration
image, music, lyrical content, and performance, all arranged to fit
together in perfect harmony. They look to be above the standards in
metal today by keeping the lyrics clean and enlightening. They also
extract musical influences from outside of the metal genre while still
being true to the roots of the style. With Mayelin’s vocal power
in combination with their unrestricted musical vision, there will be
no end to BLACK ZODIAC.
BLACK ZODIAC's website is located at www.blackzodiac.net.

A Tribute To Rush
Magna Carta MA-2112
Mixed by Robert Berry

Featuring Performances By:
Sebastian Bach (Skid Row); Robert Berry (“3”, Ambrosia);
Dave Brooks (Slammin’ Gladys): Dominic Cifarelli (Pulse Ultra);
Jeff Feldman (Pulse Ultra); Stu Hamm (Joe Satriani, Steve Vai): Daniel
J. (Solo Artist, Jordan Rudess); Randy Jackson (Zebra); Andreas Kisser

Vinnie Moore (Solo Artist, UFO); Alex Skolnick (Solo Artist, Testament,
Tran Siberian Orchestra, Attention Deficit); Jeff Stinco (Simple Plan);
Kip Winger (Winger).
Lee, Lifeson and Peart have provided an often obsessive lifetime mission
for countless of hopeful, thoughtful, ambitious musicians through a
wide scope of times and climes.
The all-walks array of musicians you see gathered here is testimony
to that fact.
Rush were heavy when heavy was not cool, Rush comprised a clear and
clear-headed three guys playing their hearts and minds out on sleeve
and stage. Rush made you want to play better than that other guy in
class, also providing a reading list for mind-feeding while you recovered
from bleeding fingers, tender blood blisters and tendonitis.
And they did this in waves, to full currents of aspiring rockers, beginning
thereabouts with underground breakthrough 2112 in 1976, that record
combining science fiction with philosophy (Ayn Rand) and literature
(George Orwell), metal with progressive rock (Rush single-handedly birthed
progressive metal – a huge musical genre today), also delivering
one of the early concept albums.
Rush is one of the few bands to conquer the divide between the more
intimate progressive rock listener and FM rock radio. When bands like
Yes and ELP were having trouble staying on the airwaves, Rush maintained
their visibility. Always updating their sound but keeping those familiar
touches.

- Guitarist HEAD Quits KORN, Dedicates Life To Christianity - Feb. 22,
2005
MTV.com is reporting that guitarist Brian "Head" Welch, a
founding member of KORN, has left the band and has rededicated his life
to Christianity, according to the group's management.
"KORN has parted ways with guitarist Brian 'Head' Welch, who has
chosen Jesus Christ as his savior, and will be dedicating his musical
pursuits to that end," a statement from the band reads. "KORN
respects Brian's wishes, and hopes he finds the happiness he's searching
for."
The announcement puts to rest weeks of rumors that Welch was unhappy
with KORN's direction. On February 8, he had apparently written a "letter
of resignation" to the band's management. In the note, Welch detailed
a long list of reasons for leaving the band, including increased moral
objections to KORN's music and videos. In particular, he was upset by
how he was portrayed in the clip for their cover of CAMEO's "Word
Up", off their recently released "Greatest Hits, Vol. 1"
album. In the video, Welch's face was superimposed on a dog patrolling
a strip club.
Welch plans on further explaining his decision to leave KORN this coming
Sunday, when he'll address the congregation at the Valley Bible Fellowship
in Bakersfield, California. And on February 28 he plans to leave for
Israel.
KORN are currently in the studio working on a new record, which is due
in stores in September.

- CRYPTOPSY News-Update
We would like to begin this update by wishing Jon Levasseur all the
best for his future plans and goals. You are an innovator and will remain
a true friend. Thank you for your talented contribution to the next
album.
2005 will be a big year for us. First, you can have a look at our updated
"Back to the Worm" 2005 US tour. Come and check out the band
live with Lord Worm back at the helm. Once more, Dan Mongrain (Martyr)
will fill in as second guitarist for these shows. Three shows will also
be held in Canada this spring.
The recording of the Fifth Album will take place during the summer months
of 2005 and the release date will be confirmed thereafter. Each song
has a very unique identity and some of the material is a progression
from what you've heard from Cryptopsy in the past. The Album concept
has a very distinct beginning and end. Here are some titles to perk
your curiosity: 1.Carrionshine 2.Adeste Infidelis
Look for the anticipated instructional drum video from Flo Mounier to
come out this summer. A web site will be launched this spring to give
you more specific infos on the DVD's content and how to order it.
Also, you can now order some of the few remaining Canada 2004 Tour shirts
via our web site's merchandise section (in the long sleeve shirts category).
We want to keep you informed, updated and part of the team. Our goal
this year and for the future is to make things happen in order to satisfy
your Extreme Needs.
See you on tour!!!

- 11 Dreams US-Release!
Mercenary's 3rd full-length album "11 Dreams" was released
in North-America by Century Media Records.
Check out some of the absolutely raving reviews which have started to
come in from the US:
* Brave Words & Bloody Knuckles 10/10: "MERCENARY have a masterpiece
on their hands, one that recalls emotional, nearly personality-altering
highs from the likes of Soilwork, Hypocrisy, Children Of Bodom, Dark
Tranquillity, In Flames and most enigmatically, a creamy wall of sound
bits from Devin Townsend."
* Ottawa Metal 10/10: "This is my new favorite band, and to be
honest, I can't stop listening to this album. This band sounds like
no one else and if they continue on this path, they will most definitely
become one of the biggest Metal bands in the world"
* Keeper Magazine 10/10
* Smn News 10/10: "A phenomenal effort!"
* The Pit Report (US) 5/5: "nothing short of amazing"
* www.metalcrypt.com 5/5: "Holy shit, it's the second coming of
In Flames! MERCENARY have struck the perfect balance of power, melody,
and death metal."
* Unrestrained Mag (US) 9.5/10
* Sea of Tranquility 4.5/5: "Century Media has an absolute winner
here folks"
* Metalreview.com 5/6: "...it's hard not to recommend this record."
* All Music Guide 4/5: "exciting and inspired songwriting ... a
solid album through & through"
* Kerrang! "MERCENARY'S symphonic brutality is a wonder to behold.
A dense and bruising wall of guitars, keyboards, lashings of reverb
and multilayered vocals"
* The Daily World (Seattle, WA): "Not unlike labelmates Shadows
Fall, with 11 Dreams, MERCENARY is similarly poised to break out of
boutique-label territory and storm a beach near you. Highly recommended."
* Blistering.com: "A band that is capable of taking metal to the
next level, able to reach those outside of the fold while blowing minds
within it. 11 Dreams is the finest display of melodic metal since In
Flames bust onto the scene with The Jester Race, and it is an instant
classic, one that will be looked upon in the same manner as Slaughter
Of The Soul, Storm Of The Lights Bane, and Heartwork."
MERCENARY IN 3D!
As a very special treat, the US-edition contains two additional versions
of the title track as bonus tracks: a radio-edit as well a very unique
3D-remix, made using state-of-the-art digital technology to move all
of the recorded tracks around the listener in a 3-dimensional space,
creating an entirely new form of listening experience! Read more about
it in a statement from bassist/singer Kral explaining the conception
and technical details here: www.mercenary.dk/3dstatement.asp

- For Immediate Release: MOTORHEAD AND CORROSION OF CONFORMITY JOIN
FORCES FOR SPRING 2005 TOUR The immortal Motorhead and mighty Corrosion
Of Conformity will hit the road for a North American tour in spring
2005. Motorhead -- celebrating its 30th anniversary this year with a
third career Grammy Award nomination -- makes a triumphant return to
these shores after a 2004 fall tour was canceled due to an injury suffered
by vocalist/bassist Lemmy. At last, Lemmy, guitarist Philip Campbell
and drummer Mikkey Dee are able to perform on this continent to promote
their Metal-Is/Sanctuary Records release 'Inferno.' This remarkable
album earned mountains of overwhelmingly positive reviews. In fact,
the Associated Press called 'Inferno' the best Motorhead album ever.
"Corrosion Of Conformity are a fine band as everybody knows. Also,
they must be one of the few bands who have been going as long as Motorhead!
Still, we'll give them a run for their money!" says Lemmy. "Glad
to have those boys along." Corrosion Of Conformity, also known
as COC, will give audiences a tantalizing taste of the blistering new
Sanctuary Records album 'In The Arms Of God,' which is scheduled for
release on April 5, 2005. Vocalist/guitarist Pepper Keenan, guitarist
Woody Weatherman, bass guitarist Mike Dean and special guest drummer
Stanton Moore (best known as a member of Galactic) have recorded an
album of visceral power that's a worthy follow-up to 2000's 'America's
Volume Dealer.' Scheduling conflicts will prevent Moore from touring
with the band. Jason Patterson (Cry Of Love) will serve as COC's touring
drummer. "Lemmy and Motorhead are to heavy metal and our roots
what Johnny Cash is to country," says Keenan. "It's an honor
and a privilege to deliver volume on the same stage...now up the f%#kin'
hammers! Not to mention we've got the baddest skulls in heavy metal!"
Motorhead will also be performing at World Wrestling Entertainment’s
WrestleMania 21 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA, on Sunday, April
3rd. Motorhead/COC shows confirmed at this time are listed below. Many
more are forthcoming. For all the latest updates, visit www.imotorhead.com
