- NIGHTRAGE sign to Lifeforce Records
Lifeforce Records is proud to announce the signing of swedish/greek
melodic death metal outfit NIGHTRAGE to its growing roster.
Lifeforce Records president Stefan Luedicke about the signing "I'm
very happy about the signing of NIGHTRAGE, a band I've been a fan of
since their first release "Sweet Vengeance" on Century Media,
but I'm sure their Lifeforce Records debut will easily kill their previous
releases."
Marios Ilipoulos, guitarist/ song-writer speaking on behalf of NIGHTRAGE:
"We are proud about the signing with Lifeforce Records, this is
really exciting for us and we feel that we will continue deliver our
craft through a really nice partner like Lifeforce Records, who are
into the music we are doing and together we can achieve really great
things.
The band was originally formed in Greece back in the year 2000 by guitarist
and mastermind Marios Iliopoulos, ex - Exhumation (who released three
high quality Death Metal albums before, all produced in Sweden) and
his friend Gus G. (known for his acclaimed performances with CMR shooting
stars Dream Evil as well as Firewind and Mystic Prophecy). NIGHTRAGE
released two albums on Century Media Records, "Sweet Vengeance"
(2003) and "Descent Into Chaos" (2005) before they parted
ways with vocalist Tomas Lindberg (At The Gates, Disfear, The Crown)
and Jimmie Strimell joined the band on vocal duties.
NIGHTRAGE will record their yet untitled Lifeforce Records debut later
this year at Studio Fredman and the album will be released in early
2007.

- OMNIUM GATHERUM: New Demo Songs Available Online
http://www.myspace.com/omniumgatherum
Finnish death metallers OMNIUM GATHERUM have uploaded two new tracks
to their MySpace profile. The songs - "A-part of God" and
"Undertaker" - are taken from the group's latest promotional
recording, which the band are currently using to procure a new record
deal. The demo marks the first material recorded with brand new OMNIUM
GATHERUM vocalist Jukka Pelkonen, who joined the group last month.
Jukka will make his live debut with OMNIUM GATHERUM on July 11 at the
Tuska Open Air metal festival after-party at Gloria in Helsinki, Finland.
OMNIUM GATHERUM parted ways with Nuclear Blast Records last year. The
band's latest album, "Years in Waste", was released in the
U.S. in March 2005. The follow-up to 2003's "Spirits and August
Light" was recorded at Sonic Pump studios in Helsinki, Finland
with producer Nino Laurenne and engineer Teemu Aalto.
- TERRORIZER: Announce release date for new album Darker Days Ahead
“Legendary,” “pioneers,” Los Angeles’
TERRORIZER belong among those few bands that have truly shaped the face
of Grindcore and Death Metal. Now, the day has finally come to turn
rumors into an unstoppable reality! Darker Days Ahead, the band’s
highly anticipated second album, will be released August 22nd, 2006
via Century Media Records.
With an aggression and ferocity until then unheard the band took the
scene by storm with the 1989 release of their highly acclaimed and genre-defining
debut album, World Downfall (Earache Records). The album installed the
band as a cult institution, despite their prompt disbanding, and the
musicians went on to concentrate on their future main bands: Pete Sandoval
(drums) with Morbid Angel and Jesse Pintado (guitars) with Napalm Death.
With World Downfall TERRORIZER created the Reign In Blood of Grindcore
inspiring a generation of bands, their popularity never waning through
these intervening years. The massive amount of available bootleg recordings
and band merchandise, as well as rumors of a follow-up album, kept the
TERRORIZER name alive.
The eleven new tracks, as well as a new version of the band’s
classic “Dead Shall Rise” now entitled “Dead Shall
Rise V.06”, were recorded at Juan “Punchy” Gonzalez’
DOW Studios (Morbid Angel, Christian Death) resulting in a more mature,
sinister piece of Death/Grind, fuelled with contempt and a harsh outlook
on the status of our present and future world. Darker Days Ahead is
trademarked by Jesse Pintado’s and Tony Norman’s (Morbid
Angel, ex-Monstrosity) unmistakably feral sounding guitar tone and Pete
Sandoval’s skin-flaying blast beats. Joined by vocalist Anthony
Rezhawk (Resistant Culture), who renders an outstanding performance,
TERRORIZER unleash a brutal tempest predicting the darkest of days.

- MNEMIC begin tracking new album
The Danish Metal Machine MNEMIC have begun recording their yet-to-be-titled
third album for Nuclear Blast Records in Los Angeles. Production is
being handled by Christian Olde Wolbers (Fear Factory, Threat Signal)
as well as new addition Warren Riker (Down, Cathedral, The Fugees) who
began tracking the band at Track Record Studios (Kiss, Megadeth, Aerosmith)
this past weekend. The band had this to say, "Finally after 2 weeks
of rehearsals and pre-production we've started tracking the drums with
Warren Riker and Christian Olde Wolbers in North Hollywood. We've been
really busy working on 13 brand new songs that kick ass, and along with
new singer Guillaume Bideau (ex-Scarve) this marks a new era for the
band. Things are sounding great and we are just getting started!"
This marks the first time that MNEMIC have done pre-production and recording
in America and the second production project of Olde Wolbers for Nuclear
Blast as he recently turned the knobs for Threat Signal's debut Under
Reprisal (due out August 22nd in North America). He commented recently,
"I'm honored to get the opportunity to work with MNEMIC, and I
am actually a fan of the band."
The follow-up to 2004's The Audio Injected Soul, MNEMIC's new album
is due out in early 2007.
- BLEED THE SKY gitarrist in critical condition
Orange County's BLEED THE SKY have issued the following statement regarding
the condition of their guitarist Wayne Miller, who was recently hospitalized
in Louisville while the band was on tour with DOPE:
"We all went and saw Wayne at the hospital today in Louisville.
According to the doctors he has severe pneumonia caused by some sort
of viral infection which they haven't pinpointed yet. The infection
has caused lots of complicatons where he's essentially on life support
to breathe for him, keep him hydrated and protect against further infection.
They thought it was an appendicitis at first, and then a form of strep
thoat, but now they're not sure. His condition, they said, is critical
but stable. We're going to be here until he gets back on his feet, so
any shows as of now, we will not be playing until further notice. Based
on what we saw, he doesn't look like he's going to be getting out of
that bed any time soon, it's really serious."
Get well soon, Wayne!
- HAMMERFALL studio news
HAMMERFALL recently entered the studio to begin recording the follow-up
to 2005's “Chapter V: Unbent, Unbowed, Unbroken”.
The album will be released on October 20th, through Nuclear Blast Records,
with a single release on the track “Natural High” available
on September, 22nd.
Other song titles on the album include "Carved In Stone,"
"Titan," "Dark Wings, Dark Words," "Shadow
Empire," "Rebel Inside," "Threshold, "Howlin'
With The Pac," and "The Fire Burns Forever”. Guitar
player and main songwriter Oscar Dronjak comments: “Our goal was
to get as heavy and energetic production as we had on the previous albums,
but to improve it and the performance even more. Musically, we built
on the foundation of our previous work and developed the sound, and
perhaps brought back some of the speed. Without losing the heaviness
and the groove, of course. HammerFall is, and always will be, a Heavy
Metal band."
Everyone who will visit this years Earthshaker Festival (www.earthshaker-fest.de)
will get the chance to listen to one of those new tracks live. Says
Oscar: “We will do "The Fire Burns Forever", the song
we recorded a video together with the Swedish athletics a couple of
weeks back. As far as I know, it will be available for download during
August only, so it will be in promotion for that. We're also going to
bust out a few songs we haven't done in a while, just for fun.”
Don’t miss it!
- BURN IN SILENCE may be coming to your town...
BURN IN SILENCE is on tour to support their debut album!
This metal wrecking machine will not be stopped until they have laid
every genre trend to waste. Their Prosthetic Records debut, Angel Maker,
signals the beginning of a musical apocalypse. This is not metalcore,
emo, or nu metal. But rather, it is something dangerous, infectious,
and undeniable. Upon pressing play, you'll plunge into an entrancing
whirlwind of devastation. Thrash guitars and grooving riffs flank a
percussive double bass salvo that explodes upon impact. Melodic choruses
soar to heights of macabre beauty, while violent screams descend downward
like a guillotine. Keyboards bleed texture all over the destruction,
painting a backdrop that covers every inch of Hell. Cuts like "Lines
from an Epitaph" and "Embrace the Plague" bludgeon with
a pure inner rage that some artists spend a lifetime attempting to harness.
On these tracks, polyrhythmic riff work shifts into technical guitars
as melody from the keyboards and choruses engulf the entire sound. These
six men from Massachusetts plan on driving listeners straight to the
center of darkness and back.
-RUIN MAGAZINE ISSUE #1-
Burn In Silence – "Angel Maker" Grade: A
(Prosthetic Records)
There's an entrancing brutality at the blackened heart of Burn In Silence's
Prosthetic Records debut Angel Maker. Not since Nothingface's Violence
or Acid Bath's When The Kite String Pops, has a heavy metal band crafted
a record this unnervingly brilliant. This isn't so much a metal album
as it is a vignette into the evil inherent in all of us. The lyrics
poetically weave this tapestry of darkness. Over the course of the record,
Burn In Silence follows a serial killer on a mission from God, rips
two-faced friends apart, and poses questions of mortality. On "Embrace
the Plague" and "Lines from an Epitaph," Chris Harrell
delivers these lyrics with a combination of Matt Holt's searing dynamics
and Ben Falgoust's bloodthirsty growls. The guitars resurrect vintage
thrash, while incorporating Swedish style polyrhythmic riffs. Black
Metal keyboards create a sense of never ending dread. On the title track,
the drums shift with mind bending signature changes. The rhythms, riffs,
and vocals all work towards completely slaying the senses. This is hands
down the best debut of the year. Fly with the Angel Maker and you might
never view heavy music the same way. – Rick Florino

- HOURCAST to Release State Of Disgrace On Alkamedia Records
Album In Stores June 20th, 2006
U.S. Tour In Support Of Sevendust
Heavy music is often the result of deep emotions. Sadness, frustration
and anger combined with a musician’s talent can result in music
which is awesomely powerful, uniquely deep, and thought-provoking. Such
is the case with HourCast.
Born out of Boston, Massachusetts, HourCast combines elements of hard
rock and metal with a distinct electronic influence. “We had no
preconceptions as to what the band would sound like,” says vocalist
Patrick McBride. The members of HourCast – Mcbride, drummer Jerry
Clews, guitarist David Henriquez and bassist David Sullivan - have combined
their varied influences to create a unique sound that incorporates the
heavy flavor of Deftones and Tool with the dark electronic atmosphere
of Nine Inch Nails and Depeche Mode.
The somber tones of State Of Disgrace are a result of these efforts.
From the introspective opening track “This Life”, to “Freeze”
(which McBride describes as an “epic, desperate song”) State
Of Disgrace has a cold, sharp intensity. The self-loathing “Smash
Up” eschews a bitter tone, while “Lunar” tells a tale
of longing and loneliness. “The music and lyrics are a reflection
of what was going on at the time,” explains McBride. “I
found myself in a new environment and was going through a big change
in my life and that comes out in the songs.” State Of Disgrace
will be available at iTunes on May 2nd and in stores on June 20th, 2006.
Not being signed to a label could serve as a liability to some bands,
but not HourCast. “We didn’t have a label telling us what
to do and that allowed us to add variety and flavor to the album,”
says McBride. HourCast is a band looking to gain ground in the current
music scene. “Myspace and live shows are definitely helping us
to build a fan base,” says McBride.
The track listing for State Of Disgrace comprises:
This life
Sakkara
Freeze
God Failed
Lunar
Smash Up
Almost Like Life
Numb
3rd Of July
Stillwater
Memories And Lies
Uhaul
Imbalance
- OPEN GRAVE RECORDS SIGNS FRENCH DEATH METAL / INDUSTRIAL ARTIST ART
238
Open Grave Records is pleased to announce the signing of French Death

Normandie, France. Formed in late 2000 Art 238 has been a force to be

irradiated mutants from nuclear hell". A 3 song demo in 2005 titled,
"Guarantying peace or prophet of war?", and a split EP to
be released with A Kodak Moment later this year.
Their debut full length album on Open Grave Records is planned for release

- MERENDINE ATOMICHE To Release RAW On August 21st 2006
Veteran Italian thrash metal stalwart Merendine Atomiche is prepared
to present their most visceral and accomplished work to date: RAW. On
August 21st, 2006, Mausoleum Records will unleash RAW on the world.
This testament to the eleven year career of Merendine Atomiche is both
a step forward in the evolution of the band, as well as an excellent
point of introduction for those not yet acquainted with their music.
RAW is Merendine Atomiche’s second full length album. Their 2003
release Walk across fire, along with their demo, mini cd, and tribute
to Metallica, established the band’s powerful sound, mixing a
classic thrash metal style with elements of hardcore and pure heavy
metal. RAW brings that style to the next level. “Despite good
reviews and a positive response to our last record, we were not satisfied,”
says drummer Luca Cerardi. “We wanted to do something even better.
After two years of hard work, the result is RAW.” Lead guitarist
David Bisson adds, “For me this album represents the new sound
of Merendine Atomiche. A new beginning.”
RAW was produced by prominent metal guitarist Jack Frost, who has performed
with Savatage, Seven Witches and many other bands. Frost is a very capable
producer and helped Merendine Atomiche realize their full potential
as a band.
The songs on RAW hold deep personal meanings for the members of Merendine
Atomiche. “RAW is a great album to me because I lived each song,”
says vocalist Luca Zandarin. Indeed, the band worked their fingers to
the bone for two years in the studio to make sure that RAW would be
the best album possible. “Our target is to let people feel what
we felt when we were making these songs: thrash them, give them energy
and let them enjoy the music as much as possible while sending a positive
message,” says rhythm guitarist Luca Securo.
Perhaps bassist Dario Bianchi explains the point of the album best:
“For me, RAW is not an album but a tale. A story about Merendine
Atomiche as friends and as a band. Our experiences, our dreams and a
musical trip into the life of five guys who are living a great experience
through music can be heard with this album.”
A Track Listing For RAW Comprises:
1. In The Cage

6. Ocean’s Shadows
7. Zero Degrees

- ELDRITCH’S ‘NEIGHBORHELL’ RECEIVES AMERICAN RELEASE
LIVORNO, Italy – Italian exports Eldritch wowed fans at Chicago’s
Powerfest a couple months ago with their first-ever North American performance
and now the band is set to equally impress fans and soon-to-be-fans
with its latest release, “Neighbourhell,” on Limb Music.
Playing a melodic brand of powerful thrash metal, Eldrich combines equal
parts aggression and progression with killer riffs and unforgettable
melodies on “Neighbourhell.”
“This record is much more mature, catchier, and heavier we ever
did before,” said vocalist Terence Holler. “It’s a
big step forward.”
Though more of an underground cult act in North America, Eldritch is
no stranger to the metal scene, making music since its earliest demo
in 1991. After signing with Limb Music, Eldritch released its debut,
“Seeds of Rage,” in 1995. In all, “Neighbourhell”
is the band’s sixth album.
Eldritch has twice appeared at the Gods of Metal, Italy’s largest
metal festival and also headlined the first day of Italy’s popular
Independent Rock Festival Badia Rock, in addition to playing successful
European tours with Angra, Pain Of Salvation, and Threshold, but the
Chicago gig fulfilled one of the band’s biggest dreams.
“We played for many years in Europe and our dream was one day
to play in the number one nation in the world for music,” said
Holler. “It was really exciting for us. There were people traveling
from all the states to see us play and we sold out of all of our merchandise.
We played a great show with songs from all six of our albums, for about
two hours of music and the crowd wanted more.”
“Neighborhell” was mastered by Christian Schmid and R.D.
Liapakis from the Music Factory.

Splitting studio time between Lydriket and Earshot Studios, Ad Majorem

work to date. Ad Majorem Sathanas Gloriam hits US stores on July 25.
Norway’s Sahg are a new disciple of timeless doom and gloom-flavoured
metal. With Sahg 1, this “buzzing” Scandinavian four-piece
blaze on to US shores with arguably one of the year’s best and
memorable records. Taking influence from classics - Pentagram, Electric
Wizard, Kyuss and Monster Magnet (to name a few) - and it has been said
Sahg rock with a groove that would “make John Bonham proud!”

- SCALD – `VERMICULATUS' WILL BE RELEASED 12TH JUNE 2006 ON CODE666
RECORDS!
Luxuriously packaged in a deluxe 6 panel oversized digifolder, this
edition is strictly limited to 999 copies. Vermitronic will only be
selling this direct to customers in Ireland (North + South). Pre-order
now at www.vermitronic.me.uk
The rest of the world can order direct from the Aural Music webstore
at www.auralmusic.com
Synopsis:
Vermiculatus is Scald's most experimental, innovative and un-commercial
project to date. The work consists of a singular album length instrumental
track, the first section of which is performed by the band and is a
complex composition of no repeated parts, followed by the closing section,
which is an ambient reconstruction of the performance part. This is
accompanied on the CD-rom track by a short animated film (Vermiculatus
B1) with a further reconstructed soundtrack, an integral facet to the
work and concept as a whole.
Scald are not known for being free with explanations behind their concepts
but it can be stated that the on-going conceptual, metaphorical representations
of the parasitic worm as psychological states has been further evolved
from the `Nematoid' & `Headworm' material. Without the use of words
or human voice these emotional and neurological conditions must be conveyed
through the aural and visual stimulus of the Vermiculatus whole. It
is not necessary to understand, only to be aware.

SCALD – `FLUKE' NEW MCD TO BE RELEASED THROUGH MIDHIR
Following 13, greying years of progressive, sludge-grinding evolution,
Ireland's idiosyncratic, doom-thrashing experimentalists, Scald, give
a horned salute and a blackened nod to their pre-Scaldic, grindcore
roots with the `Fluke' E.P. - 5 short, sharp and filthy, damning citations
of grindcore punk and thrashing crust-metal vitriol, chronologically
unleashed against the unfortunately ongoing, ancient global keepers
of tyrannical, papagadist religiosity.
We are pleased to announce we'll be working with Northern Ireland's
own rising and already respected Midhir records on releasing this 5-pointed
concept MCD of rage-filled, blackened punk/thrashing crust. Watch the
Scald site for progress reports. www.midhirrecords.com

- QUEENSRYCHE TO ROCK AND RIDE ACROSS AMERICA
THE BAND PARTNERS WITH BUELL MOTORCYCLES TO
RAISE MONEY FOR THE VH1 SAVE THE MUSIC FOUNDATION
*******************************************************
MASSIVE SUMMER/FALL TOUR OF UNITED STATES
BEGINS IN AUGUST IN SUPPORT OF LATEST RELEASE,
OPERATION: MINDCRIME II, ON RHINO RECORDS
****************************************************
Queensrÿche will rock and ride across America for charity beginning
in August as the band partners with Buell Motorcycles to raise money
for the VH1 Save The Music Foundation during their upcoming U.S. tour
(see full itinerary below) sponsored by VH1 Classic.
Throughout the 60-plus date tour, Queensrÿche is offering fans
the rare and exciting opportunity to join singer Geoff Tate and guitarist
Mike Stone as they ride custom Buell Ulysses bikes, complete with custom
riding jackets and helmets, between select tour stops on the band's
tour for Operation: mindcrime II, the sequel to Seattle-based quintet's
1988 platinum-certified concept album.
All concert performances will feature a full stage show, including surround
sound, new video imagery and actors playing out both parts of the Operation:
Mindcrime saga - Operation: Mindcrime (1988's acclaimed concept album
that quickly reached double-platinum status) and Operation: mindcrime
II - in their entirety.
Fans that make a donation to the VH1 Save The Music Foundation will
be invited to join Tate and Stone as they ride between shows. A full
list of start and finish points are available on the band's website
- www.queensryche.com.
Anyone who makes a donation will be eligible to receive a limited edition
sticker patch commemorating the Queensrÿche charity ride. Log on
to www.vh1savethemusic.com
and click on the Queensrÿche donation page to contribute.
In addition to the ride-along opportunity, Queensrÿche is also
donating exclusive prize packages to be auctioned off for the following
seven tour stops: Atlanta, St. Louis, Chicago, New York, Houston, Los
Angeles and San Francisco. The exclusive prize packages include two
prime tickets to the show in that city, two "meet and greet"
backstage passes, a copy of Operation: mindcrime II signed by the entire
band, tour swag and a personal item from one of the band members. Buell
Motorcycles will also host a sweepstakes on its own website (www.buell.com)
prior to the tour where they'll give away two concert tickets and an
autographed copy of Operation: mindcrime II every day from Monday, June
26th _ Thursday, July 13th.
On Wednesday, September 20th -- prior to their shows at the Nokia Theater
in New York City _ Tate and Stone will lead a caravan of approximately
3,000 riders who made a donation to the Save the Music Foundation. Starting
at the renowned Harley-Davidson dealership Legends in Ledgewood, New
Jersey, the caravan will travel over 40 miles to Times Square. The riders
will then be invited to attend an exclusive performance by Queensrÿche
at the Hard Rock Café in New York City (1501 Broadway).
At the end of the first leg of the tour, there will be a ride in Seattle
on October 16th and afterwards, both of the custom Buell Ulysses motorcycles
ridden by Tate and Stone, along with their custom Buell riding jackets
and helmets, will be auctioned to raise money for the VH1 Save The Music
Foundation.
"As a band, we've always believed in music's profound power to
change lives," Tate explains. "Personally, music has always
been my saving grace because it's given me a positive way to express
my emotions. This charity ride along is a simple way for me to make
sure that a new generation will have the same opportunities through
music that I had."
A nonprofit organization founded in 1997, the VH1 Save The Music Foundation
is dedicated to restoring instrumental music education in America's
public schools, and raising awareness about the importance of music
as a part of each child's complete education.
Come out for the ride and stay tuned!
Please visit the band's website at www.queensryche.com
NOTE: Operation: mindcrime II marks the ninth studio album (and its
first release on Rhino Records) for Queensrÿche, which began its
journey as a band in 1981 and now includes singer and chief songwriter
Geoff Tate; guitarists Michael Wilton and Mike Stone; bassist Eddie
Jackson, and drummer Scott Rockenfield. The new CD has spawned two singles
thus far, "I'm American" and "The Hands," and found
itself debuting at #14 on the Billboard Top 200 charts (their highest
debut chart position since 1994's Promised Land) with first-week sales
over 40,000 units. In addition, it also hit the #2 slot on the Billboard
Hard Music Album chart and the #4 slot on the publication's Rock Album
chart.

- STATE OF ARIZONA VS. BLACKIE LAWLESS
Blackie Lawless was found Not Guilty by the Scottsdale Arizona Court
in the ongoing assault case against him dating back to August of 2005.
The Judge's decision of "Not Guilty" was handed down today
Monday, May 22nd 2006. Pleased with the decision from the Court, Blackie
feels that the Court took into consideration that the artists have a
right to defend themselves in an effort to avoid more of the recent
tragedies that have happened to other performers. He also hopes that
decisions like this will further increase awareness and understanding
by the public that performers can be extremely vulnerable and that this
case will also serve in aiding other performers if and when the time
arises that they are forced to defend themselves in Court cases. Blackie
will also like to thank the many, many fans and associates who have
supported him throughout this trial.
- OPEN GRAVE RECORDS TO REISSUE FIRST TWO NECRODEMON ALBUMS
Open Grave Records is pleased to announce the reissue of the first two
Necrodemon albums’, “Haunted Eons” and “Allegiance
to the End”. The first reissue to be, “Allegiance to the
End” in the summer of 2006. “Haunted Eons,” will follow
up and be released with a bonus EP in the late fall.
Necrodemon began in late 1998 from the ashes of Lordes Werre. 1999's
"Deadly Demo" to 2003's "Allegiance to the End",
the band has grown and become a force to be reckoned with. Chuck Feldman
(who was technically the original drummer for Necrodemon in 1998) joined
again in early 2001 along with others to complete the next generation
of Necrodemon.
Many shows and underground appearances followed 2003's release of "Allegiance
to the End". This album was and still is a landmark for Necrodemon.
It has been called the most surprising release from an underground band
in a long time.
Although they have honed in a bit, Necrodemon does not fall under one
style. They truly cannot be categorized. They do Death Metal, Black
Metal, Speed Metal, and Thrash. The vocals are very diverse as well.
Lyrically, Necrodemon covers a lot of ground. No style is their style.
Influences range from old 80's thrash and metal to today's brutality
and atmosphere. All metal all the time.
Visit www.opengraverecords.com
for more information on Necrodemon.

In stores everywhere now - Scum of the Earth released their debut CD

Earth's material is no coincidence; the modern rock/alternative metal

and producer who is previously known for the six years he spent in Rob
Zombie's employ.

- PENCIL MACHINE OPERATOR
Experimental Rockers “Pencil Machine Operator” (featuring
ex-Exhibit A drummer Simon Walklate) are currently demoing material
for their debut full length album. Expect a UK tour late 2006, followed
by the release of the as yet untitled CD early 2007.
Simon had this to say about the new project:
“I’m really excited about the new material. This is the
band I’ve wanted to form/be in for the last 10 years. Everything
we do is just based on jamming, a really organic process and literally
anything goes. As for genre, who knows, lets just say it’s experimental,
without pushing the technical issue for its own sake.”

- AFTER ALL NEWS
NEW ALBUM "THIS VIOLENT DECLINE" OUT JULY 31
We are proud to announce that Dockyard1 has scheduled the new After
All album "This Violent Decline" for release throughout Europe
on July 31.
The follow-up to last year's "The Vermin Breed" was recorded
by Dee J. at Hype Studio in Mechelen, Belgium. The album was mixed by
Fredrik Nordström (In Flames, Arch Enemy, Soilwork) at Studio Fredman
in Göteborg, Sweden. Tue Madsen (The Haunted, Hatesphere) took
care of the mastering at Antfarm Studio in Aabyhoj, Denmark.
With "This Violent Decline" After All continue refining their
trademark thrash metal style. The album is slightly more melodic than
"The Vermin Breed", with more room for melody lines and vocals.
At the same time, "This Violent Decline" displays more speed,
power and heaviness than any of the older After All albums.
"This Violent Decline" contains 11 tracks, including a re-recorded
version of "Blind Euphoria" (from the 1992 EP "Dusk").
As a bonus track, the album features a video clip for the track "Frozen
Skin".
Samples of the new album are available on After All's MySpace page:

NEW AFTER ALL EP OUT IN JUNE
Metal Coven Records have announced a late June release for the long
overdue split EP featuring After All and Swedish metallers Ram. Originally,
the release of this 7 inch vinyl EP was planned for early 2004.
The two After All tracks on the EP are "In The Grip Of Evil"
(cover version of the Cyclone classic) and "The Devil's Pathway".
Both tracks were recorded in 2002 - when the band was preparing the
"Mercury Rising" album - and have not been available before.
The EP comes in 7 inch black vinyl and is strictly limited to 500 numbered
copies.

- Prosthetic Records' BURN IN SILENCE is coming for you...
BURN IN SILENCE is coming for you on JULY 25, 2006
Burn In Silence has already decimated stages all over the Northeast
alongside everyone from Damageplan to Shadows Fall, to Morbid Angel.
Having cultivated a live show to be reckoned with, the band stands ready
to pummel audiences all over the world. Tue Madsen (The Haunted, Himsa)
mixed the metallic mastery. Tapping into the elements of great metal,
the band has already become a cohesive and driven unit. With a mix of
incredible production, musical talent, tireless work ethic, and a thirst
to be distinct, these artists are destined to become integral to the
future of the entire genre.
