July 15th, 2006	ROB ZOMBIE & GODSMACK JOIN FORCES BEGINNING AUGUST 25TH ON A U.S. FALL TOUR ZOMBIE CURRENTLY GEARING UP FOR HIS SUMMER TREK “THE AMERICAN WITCH TOUR” HOLLYWOOD – (June 6, 2006) – Rob Zombie is confirmed to join Godsmack for a 2 month outing across the U.S. The North American tour is set to open August 25th in Dallas, TX at the Smirnoff Music Center and will run through October 1st. As a showman of colossal proportion, Rob Zombie fans should expect a visual and aural circus of the unexpected on this tour extravaganza. Currently Rob Zombie’s American Witch Tour is slated to start June 30th in El Paso, TX at the County Coliseum. The single AMERICAN WITCH is the latest release off the Educated Horses CD (Geffen Records) and is currently on Billboards Top 20 Mainstream chart after only five weeks out. The Educated Horses CD entered the Billboard Top 200 at #5. Joining Zombie will be metal icons Anthrax. In other Zombie news, Dimension Films will make a new "Halloween" movie with Rob Zombie ("The Devil's Rejects," "House of 1000 Corpses") writing, directing and serving as a producer. "I have been a huge, huge fan of John Carpenter's original film since its release,” explains Zombie. So when Bob Weinstein approached me about this, I jumped at the chance to join forces with Dimension Films on this amazing project." Zombie will also serve as music supervisor on the film. Recently diagnosed with end stage kidney failure, the result of a congenital birth defect, Smyth commented on the current state of his condition, “It is with deep regret that I will not be able to perform at the European festivals over the next week with NEVERMORE, as I am now in the hospital being treated with dialysis. The total kidney failure that I thought was a few months away has already happened. I am extremely disappointed with this situation, but there is nothing I can do. I wish the guys in Nevermore all the best and hope that as many of you fans as possible give them your support in Europe.” Commenting from the Atlanta airport on their way to Italy, the band’s vocalist Warrel Dane said, “We are saddened by Steve’s escalating condition. He is an active part of this band and our thoughts stay with him. We will be performing as a four-piece for these shows and will have Chris Broderick join us for the rest of our European schedule.” Jag Panzer guitarist Chris Broderick performed with the band on their three-week American tour with In Flames and Evergrey. The British inventors of grindcore NAPALM DEATH are recording a new album entitled “Smear Campaign” as the follow-up to last year’s highly acclaimed “The Code Is Red…Long Live The Code”. Vocalist Barney Greenway comments on the working process: "After working our arses off on new stuff for the last couple of months, we kind of slipped into the studio when no one was looking. This thing is already sounding totally immense - even better than “Code...”, from where I'm standing. Bruce was fronting a new young band, with a new name, and was joined on stage by Alex Dickson (Guitars), Chris Dale (Bass) and a certain infamous Italian drummer, Alessandro Elena. Almost two hours in length, Scream For Me Brazil represents Bruce's last outing as a true solo artist before rejoining the ranks of Maiden shortly afterwards. No official film recording was permitted although this film taken from the crowd screen feeds features highlights of the show, which later become a live album of the same name. Each intro provides an interesting insight into Bruce's solo career as it progressed and the highlights and pitfalls of producing your own promotional videos. Alongside the 14 promotional videos, Disc 3 also includes over an hours worth of extras: The Tyranny of Souls interview was originally filmed as a general interview for press purposes. This is a track by track breakdown of the concept behind the songs on the Tyranny of Souls album, providing more of an in-depth look at the writing methods that Bruce has formed with long time writing partner Roy Z. Samson - Biceps of Steel Bruce made his video debut fronting Samson in this rather curious adaptation of the story of Samson and Delilah, filmed at the Rainbow Theatre, London. Filmed and directed by Julien Temple who perhaps was more famous for the Sex Pistols movie - The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle, this 15 minute featurette was distributed through-out cinemas as a support feature to Hazel O' Connor’s Breaking Glass in 1980. On August 21st, 2006, Mausoleum Records will unleash RAW on the world. This testament to the eleven year career of Merendine Atomiche is both a step forward in the evolution of the band, as well as an excellent point of introduction for those not yet acquainted with their music. RAW is Merendine Atomiche’s second full length album. Their 2003 release Walk across fire, along with their demo, mini cd, and tribute to Metallica, established the band’s powerful sound, mixing a classic thrash metal style with elements of hardcore and pure heavy metal. RAW brings that style to the next level. “Despite good reviews and a positive response to our last record, we were not satisfied,” says drummer Luca Cerardi. “We wanted to do something even better. Here is an explanation of recent developments. At around 7pm on June 3rd, Tom was admitted to a hospital in Gelsenkirchen as his kidneys were causing him a great deal of pain. After several check-ups he was diagnosed with a kidney stone that was about to rupture. Tom's pain was so strong that only several large doses of morphine gave him any relief. Accordingly he was unable to perform at the Rock Hard Festival that very evening. Martin, Franco and especially Tom are extremely unhappy with the way things turned out and would like to apologise to all their fans who waited in vain for their set. After Blasko joined Ozzy, the following two Ozzfest’s touted Black Sabbath as the headliner – Blasko thought it was over. He performed with Ozzy on a few special shows during that time such as the NFL kick-off for the Patriot’s. “I got the call for this show – the NFL Kick- off,” explains Blasko. “I would never have guessed we would be playing in a giant helmet, but it was totally worth it.” After that show, Blasko resumed playing with Rob Zombie on his new CD Educated Horses. During the tour, fans were able to purchase raffle tickets for $10, giving them a once in a lifetime chance to win.
