  • SUSPERIA Working On New Video

Norwegian five-piece SUSPERIA are currently working on a new video for the song "Character Flaw" with up and coming director/producer Daniel William Bones. Filming took place in Oslo last month and the footage is now being edited. The performance video will continue the apocalyptic theme featured in the artwork of the band's latest album Attitude, which was released via Candlelight Records in May.

SUSPERIA's fifth studio album, Attitude was recorded in Norway and mixed at Studio Fredman in Sweden. It features guest appearances by Chuck Billy (Testament) and Shagrath (Dimmu Borgir). Band vocalist Athera made his return to the live arena in June at the Steinkjer Festival in Norway. The singer, who earlier this year suffered a heart attack which resulted in major open heart surgery, has made a rapid recovery and doctors gave him the go-ahead to make his comeback. Regional newspaper Trønder-Avisa posted performance footage and an interview with Athera from the festival. Watch the Norwegian-language report at: http://www.t-a.no/kultur/article80926.ece.

  • ARSIS ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM TITLE

Starve For The Devil will be the name of the fourth studio album from Virginia’s melodic/technical death metal band ARSIS.

This release will mark the return of founding member/drummer Michael Van Dyne, who states: "The new ARSIS record is coming along great - we have eleven new original songs nearly completed, as well as a cover song which will probably be used as a bonus track. Recording this album should be a blast, and the fact that we'll be working with one of the world's top metal producers will only make the experience that much cooler."

New material will be recorded this fall with producer Zeuss (Municipal Waste, Agnostic Front, Hatebreed) at Planet Z Studios in Massachusetts. Artist Mark Riddick will provide his trademarked meticulous and grotesque artwork.

Guitarist/singer Jim Malone shares the following:

“For the past six months we have been writing songs for Starve For The Devil, and I must say that I am more than pleased with the way things are going. Mike Van Dyne and I rehearsed this past weekend; it was the first time we have played together in over two and a half years. The rehearsal went amazing; he has really done the songs justice. Look for Starve For The Devil to be released early next year and be sure to check us out on the Neckbreakers Ball European Tour in October. We will be supporting Behemoth and Devildriver and it should be, well, good times.”

  • ENSIFERUM To Return To The US This Fall

Fresh off a successful stint on this year's Summer Slaughter Tour, Finnish folk metallers ENSIFERUM will kick off a US headlining tour in support of their upcoming full-length From Afar on November 5th. Support will come from Nuclear Blast recording artists HYPOCRISY and EX DEO as well as Sumerian recording artists BLACKGUARD. Said ENSIFERUM guitarist Markus Toivonen of the upcoming dates: "We had a great time on this year's Summer Slaughter tour. Thanks to all the bands involved, and to all the fans that came to see us. We're very excited to come back to the USA in November to support our new album, From Afar. HYPOCRISY, EX DEO and BLACKGUARD are great bands. It should be great fun for everyone!"

Swedish death metal legends HYPOCRISY are readying to release their highly anticipated new full-length, A Taste Of Extreme Divinity. The record will mark the band's their first full-length since 2005's Virus. Commented frontman Peter Tagtgren on the record: "We’re happy of the result so far; its got everything a HYPOCRISY album should have in our own point of view. We will release it October 23rd (Europe) and November 3rd (North America) and start touring in the USA, supporting ENSIFERUM!"

Roman-themed death metal troop EX DEO, featuring members of Kataklysm and Blackguard, will be touring in support of their recently issued debut Romulus. "I would like to thank everyone from the ENSIFERUM camp for this generous invitation," said mainman Maurizio Iacono. "We cordially accept the offer, but make no mistake: Rome bows to no one and our American legions are growing rapidly. We come for blood and we shall take no prisoners and in the great words of Caesar, 'Vini, Vidi, Vici,' and this is what we intend to do in November.”

Added BLACKGUARD vocalist Paul Ablaze: "We had such a blast with our Finnish brothers ENSIFERUM on the Summer Slaughter tour that a second round seems appropriate. Magnified by the legendary HYPOCRISY and our friends in the Roman legion of EX DEO, this will be the show to see this late fall." The folk-influenced progressive metal act is currently celebrating the release of their debut, Profugus Mortis.

  • SUBARACHNOID SPACE Album Coming In September; US Tour In The Works

Since their formation in 1995, SUBARACHNOID SPACE has evolved into one of the preeminent navigators within the realms of psychotropic underground rock and have firmly established themselves alongside the brightest stars in the constellation of contemporary acid rock.

Playing a form of lysergic and almost entirely instrumental rock that draws its DNA from the sounds of classic Krautrock, prog, long-form improvisation and metallic heaviness, SUBARACHNOID SPACE has attracted a fervent and dedicated following over the past decade around albums on established independent labels such as Relapse Records and Strange Attractors Audio House. They've delivered their ominous, ethereal riffage, soaring fx-laden guitars and pulsating rhythmic propulsion on the road with numerous tours and festival appearances, including multiple stints across the U.S., three appearances at the legendary psych-rock festival Terrastock, and a tour of Japan, and has performed alongside Acid Mothers Temple, Khanate, Wolf Eyes, YOB, Sunn O))), Danava, Red Sparowes, Boris, Lightning Bolt, These Arms Are Snakes, Master Musicians Of Bukkake, Ludicra and countless more.

SUBARACHNOID SPACE shall return with Eight Bells on September 22, 2009 via Crucial Blast. The band's first new release since 2005's The Red Veil, Eight Bells is the newest chapter in their continually evolving vision of music as ecstatic ritual. The recording features a new lineup of Daniel Barone, Melynda Jackson, Lauren K. Newman and Daniel Osborne and was produced by Steven Wray Lobdell who also performs on the album. Eight Bells continues in a similar heavy lysergic vein as their last couple of post-Relapse albums, fusing wicked metallic crunch with celebratory sky-streaking guitar freak-outs and some of the band's most narcotized jamming yet. The album features five songs and bears stunning new artwork from Stephen Kasner.

A full US tour is currently being locked down and will be announced shortly!

  • SCAR SYMMETRY - ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM + COVER ARTWORK

Swedish melodic progressive death metallers SCAR SYMMETRY have set Dark Matter Dimensions as the title of their new album, due in October via Nuclear Blast Records.

SCAR SYMMETRY parted ways with singer Christian Alvestam last year due to "business and creative differences and lack of interpersonal chemistry." The band explained at the time, "We came to a point where the band's existence was in jeopardy because of these differences, and the only way for us to continue with an inspired state of mind was to go through with this change in the lineup."

Christian has since been replaced by Roberth Karlsson (lead growl vocals and backing clean vocals) and Lars Palmqvist (lead clean vocals and backing growl vocals).

  • ROB ZOMBIE’S HALLOWEEN II Soundtrack Features New Recordings

PLUS CLASSIC TRACKS FROM MOTORHEAD, ROD STEWART, 10CC, FOGHAT, SCREAM, THE MC5, VOID, THE MOODY BLUES AND MORE

HOLLYWOOD, CA – Following the success of Rob Zombie’s initial reinvention of John Carpenter’s smash cult horror film HALLOWEEN which premiered number one at the box office breaking all Labor Day Weekend 2007 records, comes the sequel, HALLOWEEN II, hitting theatres nationwide on August 28, 2009 from Dimension Films.

With the enormously popular horror movie series back, writer-producer-director Rob Zombie, once again puts his own twisted twist on the soundtrack. Halloween II – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Hip-O/UMe), released August 25, 2009, and co-produced by Zombie, manages to bring together dialogue from the film as well as music from Motorhead, The Moody Blues, Scream (sans future member Dave Grohl), Rod Stewart, the MC5 and Foghat, alongside new psychobilly band Captain Clegg and the Night Creatures.

Frightmaster Zombie helmed 2007’s ninth installment in the HALLOWEEN franchise that began in 1978. HALLOWEEN II, which debuts August 28, picks up where HALLOWEEN left off, and focuses on the struggles of Laurie Strode (played by Scout Taylor-Compton) and killer Michael Myers (played by Tyler Mane).

The new recordings on Halloween II – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack include “Transylvania Terror Train” and “Honky Tonk Halloween” from Captain Clegg and the Night Creatures, who appear in the film. The band’s leader, Jesse Dayton, an Austin, Texas-based singer-guitarist who has played with Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, and Willie Nelson, was part of the duo Banjo & Sullivan that performed in Zombie’s 2005 flick The Devil’s Rejects and simultaneously released an album. Similarly, Rob Zombie Presents Captain Clegg And The Night Creatures (Stag/Zombie A Go Go) will be issued August 28.

Also new are “Laurie’s Theme” from John 5 produced by Bob Marlette, (Alice Cooper and Ozzy Osbourne); “Nurse Killa” from score composer Tyler Bates (Watchmen, 300, Halloween, The Devil’s Rejects); and a cover of Nazareth’s 1976 hit “Love Hurts” from singer Nan Vernon, who covered “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper” and “Mr. Sandman” for HALLOWEEN.

The classic tracks range from The Moody Blues’ 1966 psychedelic gem “Nights In White Satin” and 10cc’s cheery 1977 hit “The Things We Do For Love” to Rod Stewart’s 1972 cover of The Temptations’ “(I Know) I’m Losing You,” Foghat’s 1972 take on Willie Dixon’s “I Just Want To Make Love To You” and the MC5 proto-punk masterpiece “Kick Out The Jams,” which was recorded live in Detroit on Devil’s Night/Halloween 1968. The lesser-known vintage tracks hail from the early ‘80s: “Amerarockers” by hardcore punkers Scream, “The Chase Is Better Than The Catch” by metal’s Motorhead and “Time To Die” by hardcore/metal band Void.

Prior to entering the film world, hard rocker Zombie scored a series of multiplatinum albums--1992’s La Sexorcisto, 1995’s Astro-Creep: 2000, and 1998’s Hellbilly Deluxe --as well as platinum with 2001’s The Sinister Urge and 2003’s greatest hits collection Past, Present & Future.

In addition to his recording career, Rob Zombie has written and directed several successful feature films including House of 1000 Corpses, the sequel, The Devil’s Rejects, and is the is the producer, writer and director of the forthcoming animated film The Haunted World of El Superbeasto, based on his comic book series, The Adventures of El Superbeasto.

  • STRAIGHT LINE STITCH & SUPE ADDED TO (HED)PE AND MUSHROOMHEAD TOUR

    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

STRAIGHT LINE STITCH & SUPE ADDED TO (HED)PE AND MUSHROOMHEAD
    “HED TO HEAD” TOUR

Knoxville, TN, quintet Straight Line Stitch and Japanese hard rock outfit Supe have been added as support acts to the upcoming “Hed To Head” tour featuring (Hed)pe and Mushroomhead. The trek, which kicks off August 11TH in Sauget, IL is presented by Jagermeister.

'The ‘Hed to Head’ tour is a great opportunity to work with two of the hardest working bands over the last 10 years, Mushroomhead and Hed(pe),” commented Alexis Brown of Straight Line Stitch. “They know how to kill every town they hit. We are definitely cut from the same metal cloth having toured for years ourselves and aspire to achieve the sorts of successes they have had in their respective careers.”

Armed with an unstoppable work ethic and a musical vocabulary that stretches from face-ripping metal to soulful rock, Straight Line Stitch are poised to grab heavy music by the horns with their Raging Nation/KOCH Records debut, "When Skies Wash Ashore". The group's eclectic mixture of melodic metalcore has allowed them to open for the likes of DevilDriver, Napalm Death, Bleed The Sky and 36 Crazyfists.

With their seventh studio album “New World Orphans”, (Hed)pe sent the youth of America a call to arms. The album, which mixes heavy thrash riffs with punk-rock and hip-hop beats, is more than new music; it shows the band exposing the corruption and the web of lies that are being force fed to the American youth. After a series of releases with major labels that stifled the band’s creativity, (Hed)pe has been embraced by an underground movement that celebrates the musical melting pot that their music exemplifies. The group’s video for their new single “Renegade” is available online at http://www.youtube.com/hedpetv

  • SKYFIRE 'Esoteric' North American Release Date Pushed Back

Pivotal Rockordings has pushed back the North American release date for Esoteric, the long-awaited fourth album from Swedish progressive death metallers SKYFIRE, to October 13h. The push is due to a scheduling issue and does not affect the UK (September 14th) and European (September 18th) release dates. The album will be distributed via Koch Distribution, in cooperation with Listenable Records. A pre-order package for ‘Esoteric’ which also includes a t-shirt, guitar pick and CD opener is now available at http://www.smcincorporated.com/skyfire/.

The 4 song digital-only EP ‘Fractal’ released earlier this month is now officially available for legal download at iTunes, Napster, Amazon and CDBaby among many other digital music stores.

SKYFIRE spent over 5 years writing new materials since its last release. Unleashed a few months before the band’s full-length magnum opus titled ‘Esoteric,’ the digital-only ‘Fractal’ release represents the band’s best material written between 2004 and 2009. ‘Fractal’ serves to thank long time fans that have patiently waited for new material with songs that would have otherwise never seen the light of day. Among its four songs is also a preview track from ‘Esoteric’ aptly titled “Esoteric” as a taste of the full length onslaught to follow suit and is also available for listening on the band’s Myspace Page (http://www.myspace.com/skyfiremusic). The songs on ‘Fractal’ utilize the same epic bombast as ‘Esoteric’ while simultaneously maintaining the melancholic attitude heard on 2004’s ‘Spectral.’

The tracks on Fractal were recorded, mixed and mastered at the band's Powernest Studios with new members Joakim Karlsson (vocals; MARK:BLACK) and Johan Reinholdz (guitars; ANDROMEDA, NONEXIST) with the exception of “Esoteric” which was mixed and mastered by Jonas Kjellgren (SCAR SYMMETRY, SONIC SYNDICATE, ZONARIA, THE ABSENCE). ‘Fractal’ not only provides diehard fans with some exceptional songs that would have otherwise never been released, it is also the first taste of new SKYFIRE material which will be continued on the band’s Esoteric full length out on October 13th in North America, 14th in the UK and 18th in Europe via Pivotal Rockordings.

Esoteric, the follow-up to 2004's Spectral, was recorded at SKYFIRE’s own Powernest Studios in Gothenburg and was mixed and mastered by Jonas Kjellgren (SCAR SYMMETRY, SONIC SYNDICATE, ZONARIA). Album art for Esoteric was created by Pär Olofsson (THE FACELESS, PSYCROPTIC, SPAWN OF POSSESSION) with layout handled by CULT OF LUNA’s Erik Olofsson.

  • MNEMIC GUITARIST UNDERGOES SURGERY; LIVE REPLACEMENT ANNOUNCED

Danish modern metallers MNEMIC have issued the following band update:

“We apologize for the lack of news. We have been really bad with updates, but we can assure you it will change as we are taking the very first steps towards a new MNEMIC album.

“There has maybe been some speculations regarding our last show, which featured an unknown guitarist handling the duties as a stand-in for our very own Rune Stigart. To clarify the situation, Rune had to undergo surgery for an old wrist injury, in which the doctor advised not to perform over a specific period of time. The band had already been booked in advance to headline the Sardinias Heavy Sands festival, which was impossible to postpone. The band’s and Rune’s decision was to carry on with a stand-in guitarist. His name is Victor Ray Salomonsen. Some of you might recognize his mom, Sanne Salomonsen, the great and famous Danish rock mama.

“Victor stepped up to the plate and proved to be a great musician and performer, and we would like to thank him and the efforts made on such a very short notice prior to the scheduled appearance on Italian shores. We would also like to thank the organizers of Heavy Sands for making the show, trip, and the stay very special to the MNEMIC family! See you next year!”

A live video from the Heavy Sands performance can be seen at this location. Photos from the festival can be viewed here.

"Loss" is a completely stunning display of epic, world building Pagan black metal, burning with the fires of England's ancient culture and antiquity. • Prosthetic Records Signs TRAP THEM

Prosthetic Records' has signed Seattle's Trap Them. The band's sound combines elements of old school Swedish death metal, punk, and d-beat and takes influence from bands such as Entombed, Black Flag, Nasum and Tragedy. Trap Them has spent time on the road with Napalm Death, Disfear, Skeletonwitch, Victims, Rotten Sound, Toxic Holocaust, and Coliseum, amongst others and has appeared at Maryland Death Fest & New England Metal and Hardcore Fest. (In fact, Mark "Barney" Greenway of Napalm Death was quoted as saying, "Trap Them restored my faith in extreme music.") Before entering the studio to record their Prosthetic debut, due in the first half of 2010, the band will be releasing an EP through Southern Lord Records.

The band commented, "After a few months of very positive talks, we are proud to announce we have signed with Prosthetic Records. This is a step forward for the band and a move that opens up a lot of doors that we have not yet explored in the last three years of distortion. Prosthetic has been supportive of Trap Them's modus operandi for quite some time, just as we have a great respect for the high standards in which their label is run.

We would like to thank Tre, Jake and all the rest of the Deathwish Inc. family for working so hard the last few years, releasing our records and helping us stay on the road as much as we possibly could. We felt honored to have them invest as much time in this band as they did and we greatly appreciate the efforts they made to treat us as a band they believed in.

This is the first step in the next progression of Trap Them and we extremely excited that it involves Prosthetic. We've built this beast on depression, desperation and blasphemy and there is literally no ending point in our sights. We function by the expression, "Go heavy or go home," be it how we write our music, how we approach our tours, or how we live our lives. The days won't stop and we're ready to rage. See you all soon."

Trap Them has released several seven inches and EPs and two full lengths, the latest being "Seizures in Barren Praise," on Deathwish Inc. which made Decibel and Terrorizer's year end top 40 lists, in 2008.

Los Angeles based Prosthetic Records was founded in 1998 and has released albums by acts such as Lamb of God, All That Remains, Kylesa, The Acacia Strain, Landmine Marathon, Gojira, Book of Black Earth, Skeletonwitch and Testament and many more.

  • SAINT DEAMON UNLEASHES ITS 'PANDEAMONIUM'

TRENTON, N.J. - Frontiers Records is excited to announce the release of the new album from Saint Deamon "Pandeamonium."

Named after a fictitious ghost rider called S. Deamon, and with a nod towards the contrast between the heavenly/diabolical feel of the name, the Saint Deamon was put together in 2006 by drummer Ronny Milianowicz (ex-Dionysus and songwriter for Primal Fear, Cans and Place Vendome among others), together with bass player Nobby Noberg (also ex-Dionysus), guitar virtuoso Toya Johansson, and the golden voice of the Norwegian Jan Thore Grefstad (ex-Highland Glory). The band debuted in early 2008 with a stunning album "In Shadows Lost From the Brave," a record that garnered great acclaim from both critics and fans.

Saint Deamon toured extensively in support of the release during 2008, with gigs in Sweden, Norway, Austria, Italy, England, and USA appearing at some of the world's finest metal festivals like ProgPower US and Bloodstock UK, creating a buzz as being one of the hardest working bands in the scene.

Just over a year after the release of their debut album, Saint Deamon are back with a strong head wind in their sails with the worthy follow up "Pandeamonium." Produced by two of the world's most famous heavy metal producers, Roy Z (Judas Priest, Halford, Helloween, Bruce Dickinson, who also co-wrote the album's title track with the band) and Jens Bogren (Opeth, Paradise Lost, Amon Amarth), "Pandeamonium" shows a well-oiled metal machine that has no limits in terms of inspiration, musical direction, focus, dedicated members, or professionalism.

"The chance to work with Roy was actually pure luck," said founder and drummer Ronny Milianowicz. "He had been renting our studio for four weeks to work with the new Wolf album and I was just there to brew some coffee, drive his equipment here and there to different recording places, and to make his time in Sweden as pleasant as possible. But after four weeks together we became friends and I really mean FRIENDS. You know that kinda friend you can call in the middle of the night if you really need to. So one night at the local bar the night before his flight was supposed to go back, he decided to stay, and this after being in our studio four weeks already! And with Jens we have the solid ground that never let us down and that makes us perform that little extra out of every take in the studio. I hardly think we will ever work without him.

"I really believe that our fans can hear the true passion and brotherhood in the production of 'Pandeamonium.'"

Final track listing of "Pandeamonium" includes: "Deception," "The Only One Sane," "Pandeamonium," "Eyes of the Devil," "A Day to Come," "Way Home," "Fallen Angel," "The Deamon Within," "Oceans of Glory," and "Fear in a Fragile Mind."
    Also includes: "Pandeamonium" (video clip).

  • VISION DIVINE GOES '9 DEGREES WEST OF THE MOON'

TRENTON, N.J. - Frontiers Records is excited to announce the signing for a multi-album deal of the mighty Vision Divine, Italy's melodic metal finest.

The new cooperation will bring the first fruits with the release of the band's brand new studio album "9 Degrees West of the Moon."

Born as a side project of the esteemed guitarist and songwriter of Labyrinth, Olaf Thorsen, to keep his working relationship with Fabio Lione (former Labyrinth vocalist who had moved on to Rhapsody), Vision Divine evolved during the years into a real band that released five acclaimed studio albums, one DVD, and toured several times in Japan, South and North America, and played in several European countries.

The new album is particularly important in the history of the band as it marks the return of Fabio Lione on lead vocals, after Thorsen's decision to say goodbye to Michele Luppi in June 2008. "Fabio's return is like going back to square one for us," said Thorsen. "However Vision Divine is a band that did always move forward and I think that with his voice and interpretation he has enriched the songs and gave them a very peculiar and personal edge. I am truly enthusiastic of his return to the band and look forward to bringing this record out there with his amazing vocal abilities."

Vision Divine's line-up is completed by Alessio Lucatti on keyboards, Cristiano Bertocchi (ex-Labyrinth) on bass, Federico Puleri on guitar, and Alessandro Bissa on drums.

Produced by none other than the former Stratovarius mainman Timo Tolkki, Vision Divine created what is easily their most mature and intense record to date. Entitled "9 Degrees West of the Moon," this is Vision Divine's heaviest, but yet most melodic and catchy album ever, showing why they are now the number one band in the Italian metal scene. "Melodies are the most important element of our music," Thorsen said. "However our songwriting is very diverse. All the songs have very different atmospheres and can go from melodic songs like 'Violet Loneliness' to very aggressive and heavy ones. I think there is something for everyone on this record."

Vision Divine are also working hard on putting up a new World Tour which will again bring the band to Asia, South America, and possibly Europe outside their homeland Italy.

"9 Degrees West of the Moon" is a fantastic journey that fans will consider Vision Divine's true career-defining statement.

The album's final track listing includes: "Letter to My Child Never Born," "Violet Loneliness," "Fading Shadow," "Angels in Disguise," "The Killing Speed of Time," "The Streets of Laudomia," "Fly," "Out in Open Space," "9 Degrees West of the Moon," "A Touch of Evil," and "Fading Shadow" (Demo Version - exclusive bonus track for Europe).

  • FRONTIERS SETS RELEASE DATE FOR SECOND PATHOSRAY ALBUM

TRENTON, N.J. - Frontiers Records is delighted to announce the signing of Italian progressive metal band Pathosray for the release of its upcoming second album, "Sunless Skies."

Pathosray was formed in 2000 by drummer Ivan Moni Bidin and vocalist Marco Sandron, later joined by bass player Fabio D'Amore, keyboardist Gianpaolo Rinaldi, and guitarist Alessio Velliscig. The band released its self titled debut album "Pathosray" through Sensory Records in late 2007, gathering a great response from the progressive metal communities all over the world.

In support of the release, Pathosray played a few selected shows around Italy, and in September 2008 the guys went to Atlanta to perform for the first time abroad in front of an enthusiastic ProgPower USA Festival crowd. Two weeks later they played at ProgPower Europe in Holland with similar responses.

The rest of 2008 was spent on writing and recording "Sunless Skies," which was recorded at Artesonika Studios in Italy and mixed and mastered in Sweden by Johan Ornborg and Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios (Symphony X, Hammerfall, Opeth, Katatonia, etc).

With a new record deal in place and an awesome new album to boot, Pathosray is ready to climb the next step on the progressive metal ladder. "We're all really happy and excited about the new album and the way how our sound evolved during these two years," said bassist Fabio D'Amore. "The new recording deals, with Frontiers Records and Soundholic, will surely give 'Sunless Skies' an extra value with the possibility to reach new fans and spreading our music in the best way possible! We're extremely pleased to have the possibility to work with such respectable companies, also thanks to the amazing job that Intromental Management is doing for us!"

In connection with the upcoming release, set for May 25 in Europe and June 9 in the USA on Frontiers/Super D, Pathosray has been confirmed to play ProgPower Scandinavia Festival (alongside Pretty Maids, Freak Kitchen, Mercenary, and more) in Copenhagen, Denmark, on September 25.

"2009 couldn't have started better than this," said drummer Ivan Moni Bidin.

"The excitement for the invitation to play at ProgPower Scandinavia in Denmark with such big names will give us the strength to keep improving and set up the best show possible!"

The final tracklisting of "Sunless Skies" is:

    1. Crown Of Thorns
    2. Behind The Shadows
    3. Aurora
    4. Quantic Enigma
    5. In Your Arms

  • TENET “Sovereign” debut album out now in Europe; new promo track online!

TENET, the brainchild of guitarist Jed Simon (Strapping Young Lad / Zimmer’s Hole), are pleased to announce that the “Sovereign” debut album is out NOW in Europe via Century Media Records (Out August 11th in North America) and receiving great acclaim and praise by the media as well as the fans of extreme Metal with a sweet Bay Area Thrash vibe to things. To enhance the debut’s release, the intense new promo track “Crown Of Thorns” has been now launched via the band’s official myspace profile at: www.myspace.com/tenetforce

Guitarist and TENET mastermind Jed Simon comments the release of “Sovereign” as follows:
“Hey all you head-banging maniacs out there! The long, long, LONG wait is over! FUCK YES! FINALLY! I thought at times, as many of you did too I’m sure, that this was never going to see the light of day. It’s been a long road, and I’m stoked that so many of you have stayed by my side, waiting patiently. YOU RULE. So without any further bullshit, I give you “Sovereign”. This ain’t about punching people in the face, we’ve all done that...this is for pure head-banging, the pure love of metal. Remember that? Fuck yeah you do, and if you don’t...then it’s time to fuckin’ learn. Welcome to the NEW old school. Now put on your thrash hats and let’s see those heads shaking!

I’ve been balls deep in doing interviews the last few weeks and so far the response has been tremendous. That means a lot to me: everybody, thank you. With an album that has been talked about for so long, I have been nervous about the response. The initial reviews I have been reading are great, and it has really helped to validate all these years of work, and obsession, that has driven this beast. Finally the beast is free, and that freedom is an awesome thing. I gotta say, I feel like a skin has been shed...and it’s all good.

Right now we are working on getting this thing into touring mode. It’s going to take some work, I won’t lie, but when we get to your town...get ready to burn! No shuffling around the stage looking at our shoes, no ‘jump up’ in the air like a fuckin’ pogo goof, no sissies, no whining, no gimmicks, no keyboards. You’ll get A SHOW. A beer-soaked, raging good time. You’ll get what you pay for, and you deserve it. Until then my friends, welcome to the family!“

Mixed by Vincent Wojno (Machine Head, Kreator, Trouble, etc) and mastered by Andy Sneap (Megadeth, Opeth, Arch Enemy, etc.), “Sovereign” comes with classy artwork courtesy of Travis Smith (Opeth, Death, Nevermore, etc.) and will not only leave any lover of traditional thrash metal impressed but will also make an impact on fans of modern metal sounds without pseudo-trendy ambitions. If you like your METAL heavy and with a good dose of the 'old school', then you have found your home on “Sovereign”!

    TENET line-up on “Sovereign”:
Jed Simon – Guitars (Strapping Young Lad, Zimmer’s Hole)
Steve “Zetro” Souza – Vocals (Exodus, Legacy)
Glen Alvelais – Lead Guitars (Forbidden, Testament)
Byron Stroud – Bass (Fear Factory, Strapping Young Lad)
Gene Hoglan – Drums (Dark Angel, Death, Strapping Young Lad)

  • IWRESTLEDABEARONCE new album out in August / on tour in Europe!

Century Media is proud to announce that IWRESTLEDABEARONCE’s first full length album “It’s All Happening” will hit European stores on August 31st, 2009.

Completed in producer-extraordinaire Ross Robinson's (Slipknot, The Cure, At The Drive In) studio with engineer/producer Ryan Boesch (Eels, Foo Fighters) at the helm, IWABO's new album manages to take their complex sound one step beyond all expectations.

Steven Bradley (guitars) comments: "We couldn't be happier with how the album turned out! Ryan Boesch somehow understood every idea we had and captured them all perfectly. We went out of our way to expand our sound in every way possible, and this album is definitely more extreme in every direction than our previous EP. Also, we wanted to steer clear of an over-produced and lifeless sounding record, and I believe we've found a balance between all the electronics we use and a raw un-edited sound."

The European version of “It’s All Happening” comes with exclusive remixes of “White Water In The Morning” and “Pazuzu For The Win” as bonus material and is topped off with the band’s brilliant new clip for “You Ain’t No Family” as video enhancement.
