- Crematorium, Infernaeon team up for summer tour
Prosthetic Records labelmates CREMATORIUM and INFERNAEON will team up
along with Sons of Azrael to provide support for Pyrexia's forthcoming
headlining run. The two bands are each supporting new material - INFERNAEON's
debut record, 'A Symphony of Suffering,' was released earlier this year
through Prosthetic Records, while CREMATORIUM will showcase new songs
from the band's forthcoming full length and will continue supporting
2005's 'The Process of Endtime,' which just got pressed as picture disc
vinyl and is available for purchase here.
"When we were offered this tour I was like a kid that just found
his dad's gun," INFERNAEON vocalist Brian Werner says. "Pyrexia
was one of my favorite bands for many years. As a matter of fact, their
old singer, Keith DeVito, was my vocal mentor...When we went to go record
'A Symphony of Suffering,' he was my first choice as a guest musician
for the song March of Death and he really made that song come alive.
I remember seeing these guys like 8 years ago in at Milwaukee Metalfest
in this theater, once they got done playing the first 4 rows of seats
had been ripped out from the floor and there were sufficient injuries
and I thought to myself Goddamn that was a fucking show. Since then
I have never seen a band play with that kind of intensity so it's a
fucking honor to be sharing the stage with them."

striking new video for “Beautiful Tragedy” is set for this

Commented guitarist Chris Howorth: “We spent a little more time

and The Confession on a nationwide trek soon after Ozzfest. “Being
direct support for Megadeth is a dream,” Howorth says. “It’s

- Swiss SYBREED ink with Listenable Records
Non Conformists Swiss futuristic metal band, SYBREED, have signed to
LISTENABLE and will release their upcoming album 'Antares' on the first
week of October.
Born out of the ashes of RAIN in 2003, main songwriter Drop decided
to explore new shores of synthetic melodies and metallic violence. SYBREED's
new album is undoubtably the band's strongest effort and will surprise
many a listener by it's incredible songwriting maturity.
'Antares' will also benefit from the contribution of drummer extraordinaire
Dirk Verbeuren (SCARVE, SOILWORK) who gave a sadistically stunning performance
on this modern mix of electronica, futuristic pop and violent metal.
As the band describes, "Antares' is the red pulsing noise celebrating
the fall from grace, the loss of hope and innocence and our own human
nature confronted to Eternity."
SYBREED have announced the following dates, more to follow
09/15 - l'usine / Genève (Swiss)
12/01 - Madsanta festival / Olten (Swiss) le
12/15 - with Lyzanxia - Château Rouge/Annemasse
A demo version of the song 'Emma Zero' to be featured on 'Antares' is
available on the band's myspace. More album tracks will be posted there
shortly.
- Industrial death/black metal mongers HATE will soon enter Hertz Studio
in Bialystok, Poland to record their new album, tentatively titled “Katharsis”.
HATE have been working on new material for a few months now and are
in the pre-production process by creating samples and backgrounds for
what is now 8 finished songs! The new album, which is going to be a
successor of the highly recognized “Anaclasis - A haunting gospel
of malice & hatred”, is said to be the most mature and ambitious
material from the band thus far, demonstrating a great step ahead in
composition and arrangement.
Some titles from the new record are as follows:
Omega
Katharsis
Apotheosis
Threnody
Slaves To Their Graves
Resurrection Machine.
The premiere of the new record has been set for January 2008 on Listenable
Records.
After releasing “Anaclasis”, HATE have focused on promoting
the record by touring Europe twice in company of Carpathian Forest and
Decapitated, as well as headlining Metal Spirit Resurrection Tour Vol.
4 in Russia, and The Rebel Angels Tour 2007 in Poland.
HATE have also taken part in important festivals such as Party San Open
Air in Germany, Winter Assault in Czech Rep. etc. The band is going
to visit Ukraine and Belarus for a dozen of concerts this year and play
a second part of their Polish tour haunting 10 more cities. HATE will
also take part in Pushkin Drive Open Air in St.Petersburg, Russia on
July 07 and headline the fifth edition of Filthrock Festival in Germany
in September.
- All the way from Sydney, Australia, THE AMENTA have released an update
about the new album they're currently recording.
THE AMENTA are in the studio, recording “n0n”, the full
length follow up to their acclaimed 2004 release “Occasus”.
All guitars, Samples and FX have been tracked and the band flies to
Hobart, Australia to commence recording drums at Red Planet Studios
in July. “n0n” is a much darker and more subtle album than
its predecessor and is the product of a more experimental recording
ethos. THE AMENTA are stepping outside of their comfort zone and enjoying
chaos. Riddled with electronic noise and guitar manipulation, “n0n”
pushes modern technology to its limits.
Lyrically the album deals with shadowy deals and moral compromises of
this sick new world.
Song Titles:
Skin
Whore
Vermin
Spine
Rape
Slave
Entropy
Atrophy
Dystrophy
Cancer
Junky
Dirt.
THE AMENTA will also re-release their debut album 'Occasus' in limited
edition deluxe slipcase with a bonus DVD on July 23rd in Europe.

Last year, the iconic quartet reconvened to record a trio of songs for
Black Sabbath: The Dio Years, a compilation that features essential
songs by the short-lived, but beloved incarnation of Black Sabbath fronted
by Dio. Dubbing the group Heaven And Hell after one of its signature
hits, the band launched a much-anticipated world tour earlier this year.
The group celebrated its first U.S. concert in 15 years with a sold-out
performance at Radio City Music Hall. Recorded and filmed in its entirety,
Rhino captured the historic concert for a CD and DVD release, Heaven
and Hell Live From Radio City Music Hall, set for an August 28 release.
Special guest star Alice Cooper will join Heaven And Hell on the road.
In addition to his duties as a rock 'n' roll icon, Cooper is the host
of the syndicated Nights With Alice Cooper radio show. Cooper's golf-themed
memoir, Alice Cooper, Golf Monster, was released earlier this year.
Queensrÿche rounds out the hard-hitting triple bill. The band is
riding high on the success of last year's Operation: mindcrime II album
and tour, which brought the group's complete Mindcrime saga to the stage
in its entirety. On July 3, Rhino released CD and DVD versions of Mindcrime
At The Moore, which feature Queensrÿche's performance in front
of its hometown crowd at Moore Theatre in Seattle.

- CAPITOL/EMI TO RELEASE SIGN OF THE TIMES: THE BEST OF QUEENSRYCHE
ON TUESDAY, AUGUST 28TH
NEW CD & DIGITAL ALBUM RELEASE FEATURES 17 CAREER-SPANNING TRACKS,
INCLUDING SEVEN TOP 10 HITS; 2-CD DELUXE COLLECTORS EDITION ADDS 15
RARE AND PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED RECORDINGS
QUEENSRYCHE TO JOINHEAVEN AND HELL TOUR IN SEPTEMBER
In a career that spans nearly 25 years, Queensryche has released 15
albums that have sold more than 20 million units around the world.
On August 28, Capitol/EMI will release Sign Of The Times: The Best of
Queensryche in CD, 2-CD Collectors Edition packages and digitally. The
new career-spanning hits collection features 17 of Queensryche's best
singles and album tracks, including seven Top 10 Mainstream Rock hits,
packaged in a jewel case with a sixteen-page booklet featuring custom
artwork, a discography and track notes from the band's singer, Geoff
Tate.
The Collectors Edition, presented in deluxe digipak packaging, adds
a second disc of 15 rare and previously unreleased demos, outtakes,
remixes, live recordings, television performance audio, recordings for
soundtracks and a new, never-before-heard song making its release debut
on this collection.
"In an era that valued style over substance, Queensryche emerged
as a contrary force to the happy-go-lucky sounds of hard rock in the
late '80s and early '90s," explains Paul Gargano in his Sign Of
The Times liner notes essay. "In hindsight, one might even go as
far as to say that the band succeeded despite themselves. Whether knowingly
or not, they zigged when the industry zagged, progressed while the scene
regressed, and offered provocation while others opted for escapism.
There's a subtle irony, then, that their best-of collection is called
Sign Of The Times."
Among Sign Of The Times: The Best Of Queensryche's 17 hits and favorites
are the #1 smash "Silent Lucidity," "Jet City Woman,"
"Eyes of a Stranger," and "Another Rainy Night (Without

- THE ARCANE ORDER To Support TESTAMENT In Denmark
THE ARCANE ORDER, the Danish band featuring vocalist Kasper Thomsen
(RAUNCHY) and guitarist Flemming C. Lund (INVOCATOR, ex-AUTUMN LEAVES),
will support TESTAMENT on August 21 at Godset in Kolding, Denmark.
"Needless to say it is an immense honour for us to play with the
thrash kings whose records we have banged our heads to again and again
throughout our metal education," THE ARCANE ORDER writes on its
web site. "Be there folks!! AND if you want to catch THE ARCANE
ORDER tear it up, remember to show up when the doors open at 20.00.
We'll play shortly thereafter."

THE ARCANE ORDER's debut album, "The Machinery of Oblivion",
was released in August 2006 through Metal Blade Records. The band is
currently writing material for the follow-up effort, which they have
previously described in the following way: "We are trying to vary
the new stuff a bit more... we have tried to increase speed, we are
varying the songs a lot more bpm-wise, and we seem to have found a new
approach to writing riffs which make them come out more extreme and
original. We will make some really fast songs and at the same time have
a few atmospheric 'breathers' as well."
THE ARCANE ORDER lineup:
Kasper Thomsen (RAUNCHY) - Vocals
Flemming C. Lund (INVOCATOR, ex-AUTUMN LEAVES) - Rhythm and Lead Guitar

(Canadian metal veterans and Cleveland favorites who released the classic
"Metal On Metal" album in 1982), PILEDRIVER (the "Metal

first-ever Cleveland appearance!) and DESTRUCTOR (Cleveland's thrash
metal legends... "Forever In Leather" CD-release show!). All
four bands will be doing full headlining sets. Each is working on, or
soon will be releasing, a new studio album.

heavy metal for parts of the past three decades. 2007 also marks the

- GODSMACK Extends Summer Tour Again
Launch Radio Networks reports: GODSMACK has again extended its summer
tour, with the new dates beginning on July 28 in Alpine, California
and ending, at least for now, on August 22 in Syracuse, New York. As
with the rest of the band's live work throughout the past year, GODSMACK
will play a mix of indoor and outdoor shows in both smaller theatres
and larger venues. Drummer Shannon Larkin told Launch he likes to play
both, but gives the edge to theatres. "You know, both of them have
their magic," he said. "For the drummer, for me, the theatre
is the ultimate venue because I can almost see every face in the room,
and there is truth to this magic feeling of a power coming off the crowd,
an energy. But, you know, arenas, festivals, you know, it's that just
looking at a sea of people, even though you can't see all their faces,
it's still a different energy."
The band will issue a box set later this year to celebrate the band's
10th anniversary. The package will collect all four of the Boston quartet's
studio albums, its acoustic EP "The Other Side" and a DVD.
GODSMACK is also slated to participate in a tribute concert for late
BOSTON singer Brad Delp, who committed suicide in March. The concert
will take place on August 19 at Boston's Bank of America Pavilion.
Newly confirmed GODSMACK tour dates:
Jul. 28 - Alpine, CA - Viejas Casino
Jul. 29 - Paso Robles, CA - California Mid-State Fair
Jul. 31 - Los Angeles, CA - The Wiltern

shaping up as follows:
Nov. 16 - Budapest, Hungary - Petöfi Hall
Nov. 29 - Dietikon, Switzerland - Stadthalle
Dec. 01 - Lichtenfels, Germany - Stadthalle

Jan. 12 - Karlsruhe, Germany - Europahalle
Jan. 13 - Oberhausen - Germany - Turbinenhalle
The trek will kick off mid-November and will include one or two additional

Apart from very few festival appearances, this will be the first time
ever HELLOWEEN and GAMMA RAY have toured together. In addition, it is
extremely likely that Kai Hansen — GAMMA RAY leader and ex-HELLOWEEN
member — will join his former bandmates for a jam on classic HELLOWEEN
numbers.
Commented HELLOWEEN guitarist Michael Weikath: "This is going to
be a historical event for all HELLOWEEN fans. We are looking forward
to have Kai and his band on our tour with us."
Plans also exist to take this powerful package to the territories of
Southeast Asia, as well as North and South America.
HELLOWEEN recently entered singer Andi Deris' Mi Sueno Studios in Tenerife,
Spain to resume the recording sessions for its new album with longtime
producer Charlie Bauerfeind (BLIND GUARDIAN, SAXON). Tentatively titled
"Gambling with the Devil", HELLOWEEN's 12th studio LP is scheduled

- MONSTER VOODOO MACHINE Announces First Show In Nine Years
After a very, VERY lengthy hiatus, MONSTER VOODOO MACHINE has announced
its first show in nine years. The band will perform on Thursday, August
9 at The Fun Haus (Queen St. W. @ Bathurst) in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
MONSTER VOODOO MACHINE has been in the rehearsal room since last winter
working on new material and crypt-kicking the cobwebs off of some VOODOO
classics. It's still too early to know what the final Toronto show setlist
will look like, but the band promises that the set will be about intense
volume, violent distortion... and maximum damage.
Commented the group in a press release: "This won't be a one-off
'reunion' show. It's just the beginning of the latest VOODOO-esque horror
/ sci-fi / mad scientist movie sequel. It's been nine years since the
band last blew up Frankenstein's lab and rocked it under the sawblade
banner — and maybe it's the blood in the water, the fire in the
skies or maybe the hell on earth, but it certainly feels like the right
time to do it again."
The band lineup tearing up the stage this summer is:
Adam (Doom) Sewell - Vocals
Jason Cuddy - Guitar
Darren Quinn - Guitar
Terry Landry - Bass
Dean Bentley - Drums
Victor Rebelo (of MUNDANE) - Samplers / Keys

- NEW NILE ALBUM AVAILABLE FOR STREAMING ON MP3.COM
MP3.com is streaming NILE's fifth studio album, Ithyphallic, in its
entirety for seven days prior to the album's North American street date
of July 17th at the following link: http://www.mp3.com/artist/nile1/summary/
Engineered by Bob Moore and produced by Neil Kernon (Cannibal Corpse,
Nevermore, Deicide), Decibel Magazine recently praised Ithyphallic in
their August 2007 issue: "The trio's attack is more brutal than
ever, their sound richer and more redolent with Middle Eastern flourishes.
The opener, 'What May Safely Be Written' is the band's grandest to date
- a manicured orgy of horns and gongs that gives way slowly to an opening
dirge dominated by blast beats."
In the same article penned by journalist Rod Smith, guitarist/vocalist
Karl Sanders (who was also voted #4 Top Death Metal Guitarist of All
Time) provided the background story for the song "Papyrus Containing
The Spell To Protect The Possessor From Attacks From He Who Is In The
Water," which debuted on the official Ozzfest website on June 6th:
"It's from The Book Of Overthrowing Apep. There's a spell in there,
a chant that's supposed to stop crocodiles from attacking your boat.
I tried to picture it and thought, 'Your boat's being attacked by crocodiles.
Are you really supposed to dig out your scroll, fumble through it, find
the right chapter, repeat the words, and the crocodiles are gonna leave
you alone? When the croc is about to bite you in half, are you gonna
be able to find that chapter fast enough?' It's a ridiculous concept.
I found myself thinking, 'This song needs to have the words said as
fast as possible.' We decided this song would be frantic, fast as anything
we'd ever done, with the words super-frantic fast, for that 'trying
to escape from the jaws of the crocodile' feeling."
NILE are confirmed artists for Ozzfest 2007's Second Stage and will
be headlining off-date shows with Chthonic and Daath. To view complete
summer tour dates, visit www.NILE-CATACOMBS.net

- Candlemass and Malevolent Creation Releases Available for Streaming!
New releases from MALEVOLENT CREATION and CANDLEMASS can now be streamed
in their entirety on MP3.com. Both will be available until July 17th
at which point they will be released in North America via Nuclear Blast
Records. Each album can be heard at the following locations:
MALEVOLENT CREATION’s “Doomsday X” http://www.mp3.com/artist/malevolent-creation/summary/
CANDLEMASS “King of the Grey Islands” http://www.mp3.com/artist/candlemass/summary/
"Doomsday X" was recorded and engineered at Mercury Recording
Studios in Pompano Beach, Florida by longtime friend and producer (and
sometimes session member) Gus Rios, and is said to be the most diverse
MALEVOLENT CREATION album recorded to date and "without a doubt
their fastest!!" Mick Thomson, guitarist for SLIPKNOT, also contributed
a "ripping" guitar solo for the song "Deliver My Enemy".
"King of the Grey Islands" is the first CANDLEMASS album to
feature singer Robert Lowe (SOLITUDE AETURNUS), who replaced Messiah
Marcolin earlier in the year. The album was recorded at the famed Polar
Studios (LED ZEPPLIN / ABBA) in Sweden and mixed by Peter Tagtren (HYPOCRISY,
PAIN).
- ZOROASTER - "Dog Magic" CD is at press now! Street date
will be September 11th
Atlanta, Georgia's heaviest band returns with their debut full-length
album, "Dog Magic"! Picking up where they left off with their
debut self-titled EP last year on Battle Kommand, Zoroaster return with
a devastating album of epic psych-doom metal that truely showcases the
bands massive progression over the last two years. Moog synths, theremins,
haunting vocal choirs and even a brass section (!!) are brought to the
table this time to add to the massive heaviness that protrudes from
all angles of this beast-of-a-bands sound.
Truly innovative and totally devastatingly heavy, Zoroaster are here
to let the world know that REAL doom metal is alive and well in the
United States. Plans for extensive touring are in the works. Zoroaster
will be taking on the United States again this summer with Christine
(see full dates below) and again this fall, and will hopefully be reaching
European shores in early 2008.
