| 1. How did the band get started? How did you meet
and how long have you been together? Beelzebub: The band started in the middle of '92 and we released 3 demos then we were signed by the record label Last Episode and till now. Our new cd is released on Massacre Records which is called the Great Beast. If you are interested in the whole bandhistory check out our website www.mystic-circle.de. 2. How would you describe your music? Beelzebub: We describe our music as Dark-Satanic-Metal. The lyrics are real Anti-Christ but the music combinates all kind of extreme bombastic music. 3. What are your biggest influences? Beelzebub: We've grown up with bands like Maiden, Alice Cooper and so I think that these bands gave us the inspiration to built a band. But we found our own style to create our own metal music. 4. What influence do you think your bands has in music and metal today? Beelzebub: I don't know. We try to hold the flag of metal up in a world full of techno, and shity music. Hopefully we can say that the metal never dies and Mystic Circle will be a big metal band soon. 5. What made you want to be in the band? And if you weren?t in the band what would you be doing now? Beelzebub: The band is our live and we totally live for the band. It's boring for us to imagine to live a normal live working from 9 till 5. So I don't know what I would do if the band quit. 6. Are any band members in side projects? If so what are they, and explain a little about them. Beelzebub: No because everyone totally concentrade on Mystic Circle. So we can produce the best material. 100% Mystic Circle. 7. How would you feel if a band took their sound from yours and became very well known? Beelzebub: We surely would not be in a good mood. 8. What current bands do you like or respect? Beelzebub: There are lots of them. Like Maiden, the Misfits, Cannibal Corpse, Motörhead and so on. 9. How many demos/albums do you have? Tell me about them!! Beelzebub: I have lots of LP's lots of CD's but not many demos. My collection is from heavy metal to dark wave to black metal to death metal. 10. What demo/album do you like the best? Beelzebub: My all time favorite was from Helloween "Walls of Jericho" and from Alice Cooper "Raise Your Fist and Yell" but there are so many I can't tell you. 11. What is the meaning behind the songs? Beelzebub: We make dark-satanic-metal totally against the institution of the holy church. 12. What are the bands favorite songs? Beelzebub: From the new album "Lucifer's Angel," "Hate," "Lost in the Garden of Eden" but the whole album is great. 13. What does the future hold for the band? Beelzebub: We go on tour with Marduk in all of Europe, than we start a big European headliner tour and play some festivals. Hopefully we can tour soon in America and other countries 14. If you could play with any band who would it be and why? Beelzebub: I would play with AC/DC because they were my childhood favorites and I think they are the greatest live group and had made no compromises over the years. 15. Who writes the majority of the music? Beelzebub: The whole band writes the music and the lyrics are from Beelzebub 16. Who has been the favorite band you?ve played with and why? Beelzebub: We've played with so many bands, but I think the biggest event was when we played with Iron Maiden in Straßbourg. 17. Where did you get the band name from? Beelzebub: I didn't want a typical name. I think Mystic Circle describes the spirit of the group exactly because all the members have the same mind. 18. Describe what the band is like live? Beelzebub: We are now very tight and bombastic. But we are also very aggressive. So I think you must visit a show, maybe you like it. 19. If you are gonna do any kind of video what would be in it? Beelzebub: Maybe we'd make a live video with backstage scenes and so on, because next year Mystic Circle exist 10 years. So the fans should have something special then. |
