Vader - Welcome To The Morbid Reich (Nuclear Blast Records) - Back
Wow, its hard to believe that Vader has been around for almost 30 years now. In the fall of 1983 was when Piotr "Peter" Pawel Wiwczarek and Zbyszek "Vika" Wroblewski organized the band. Peter is still in the band today after all the years and lineup changes but they sound as good as they ever have in their three decade history.

Vader's latest hate-filled installment is entitled "Welcome To The Morbid Reich." It's has tons of energy and will get the adrenaline pumping. It's still battleful Polish death metal, and its still heavy and devastating. It all leads off with a 49 second intro that builds an ominous anticipation at the beginning of this stellar album.

There is a stockpile of killer riffs on this record. Several of these riffs chug like a well-oiled machine or a machine-gun eviscerating their enemies. I mean a complete shredding! Blast beats and insane and chaotic drumming patterns sound like a battery unleashing their full arsenal.

The 12 tracks, almost 38 minutes on "Welcome To The Morbid Reich " was recorded at Studio Hertz in Bialystok, Poland. There are already two singles for it, "Come and See My Sacrifice" and "Decapitated Saints." Both great songs. Other outstanding songs include "I Am Who Feasts Upon Your Soul," "Black Velvet And Skulls Of Steel" and "The Black Eye." Just about everything is good. An interesting note on the song "I Had A Dream," its starts like a death metal version of the Imperial March.

Well, it doesn't sound like there is any chance of stopping or even slowing down this juggernaut named Vader. I'm look forward to another 30 years of death metal from Peter and company!
