| Teardown - Cyanotic (Independent)

Teardown play variations between calm tranquil parts and mid-tempo rockin’ parts. The feeling that I get is kinda like Katatonia or Anathema with female vocals, or even the Gathering. The guitars are layered with the keys and drums for an overall aura. Teardown works well as a whole to create their sound. Decent leads, nothing that’s sparkling, but works well for this style. Katja’s vocals really standout; I like her singing style. Reminds me of Anneke from the Gathering. The composition maybe too docile for my tastes...it could benefit from a boost of energy. The vocals keep it lively enough though. “Cyanotic” three tunes last for fifteen minutes. For most of that time they sounds like an established band with many albums under their belts ...when is someone gonna sign Teardown? Rating: 83 Reviewed By: Jeffrey D. Adkins |
