Well, where do you start? If the name doesn't
grab you yet, I don't doubt that you will be hearing it more and more as
time goes on! Featuring Darren Malakian and John Dolmayan from killer metal
outfit System of a down, Scars
on Broadway are going to blow you all away! From start to finish there
was nothing about this album that I hated. Very much musically in the same
vein as the System of A Down albums the music is everything I have come
to expect from this duo and Darren's vocals are great! Not only did Darren
tackle the vocal and guitar duties for the new album but he also played
all the bass, Keyboard and Organ licks as well as produced this masterpiece!
When System of a down do decide to get back on the road any of these songs
will easily slide into the bands set-list no matter if Darren or Serj are
taking on the vocal duties. There isn't really too much I can say about
this album except to go and buy it! Since I got it, it has been on heavy
rotation and I don't see it coming off anytime soon. Some of the stands
out tracks on this smashing self titled debut are 'Serious', 'Funny', 'Stoner
Hate', 'World Long Gone', and 'Insane'. With six of the fifteen tracks coming
in at under three minutes in length they all certainly make an explosive
impact! This is one of the must have albums of 2008! Scars on Broadway self
titled debut CD is out now, this is a must have album of 2008 you would
be 'Insane' not to add this to your music collection.
