"Redefine the Rockstar" is a
compilation CD series that showcases independent bands from all
over the United States. This 3:16 Production release is the fifth
volume of the series. The CD compilation is a great idea, but generally
the music is average and the quality of the recordings are average
or worse. So basically this is a compilation of demo songs. Not
all songs are that badly produced, but a handful are. The bands
that are featured on "Redefine the Rockstar" are in the
louder side of music, including Punk, Hardcore and Metal, so you
can see that this disk is pretty diverse it its nineteen tracks
and seventy-one minutes. There was a couple songs that I liked and
they included Putrid Flowers with "If I Could Just Make It
On My Own" and 20 Oz. Nothing with "CDG." There were
some other decent songs on the disk but the production kept me from
mentioning them. Volume five is better then some of the past CD's,
but it still isn't attention grabbing as it could be.
