Tairrie B, My Ruin has came out
with their second full length album entitled "A Prayer Under
Pressure Of Violent Anguish." This album is an interesting and
intense ride from the beginning to the end. The disk is filled with
heavy, catchy riffs to keep you going with Tairrie B's screaming vocals
pulling everything together. Originally this band was Tairrie's solo
project after she left Tura Satana, and it has turned into much more
then a solo project. "A Prayer..." was produced by Nick
Raskulinecz. He has been credited with producing bands such as Superdrag,
Goatsnake, Downset, Marilyn Manson and Danzig. The CD has a total
of 14 tracks that will leave you in awe, and the 45 minutes plus of
music is enough for you to start a mosh pit in every room of your
house. There are quite a few good tracks on this CD, the good majority
at least. My favorite tracks include "Beauty Fiend," "Stick
It To Me," "Heartsick," "Miss Ann Thrope,"
"Letter To The Editor," and "My War." There is
nothing fake about this band either and they have the stuff to back
it up. They are in it for the music and Tairrie B says that she is
finally where she wants to be in music. All fans of Crisis to Black
Sabbath should find something to their liking on this CD. Don't be
afraid to check out a band that you haven't heard, you may be surprised. Rating: 87 |
