Hailing from the south side of Chicago, Ditchwater
has taken their various influences and put them together to create
their latest CD entitled "Breakdown." This CD is full of
energy and emotion. Ditchwater takes heavy catchy riffs with screaming
and melodic undertones with clean vocals, that sound a little like
Life of Agony, together in such a way to create a CD of chaos and
contempt, that it can even get the lazy people out of their chairs,
and to get up and to create a mosh pit of their own. These guys are
basically taking the latest metal/hardcore craze of music to their
own benefit and they don't do a bad job at it. The six songs that
last nearly twenty-three minutes, start of with a song called "10
To 12, Soul To Cell." This song will get you up and ready to
bash heads with your friends. It is definitely my favorite song on
this CD. Right after that song, "I.D.G.A.F." continues on
with this frenzy. The last 4 songs are decent, but those first 2 are
killers. If you enjoy listening to hardcore or straight ahead metal,
I'd say check these guys out. You probably will enjoy this CD as much
as I did.
