Dark
Order is a thrash/speed metal band from Australia. Their music
has every aspect of the speed/thrash sound. I'd like to say that they
are the Australian version of Slayer, that is definitely the best
way to describe them. Very aggressive, heavy, and enough energy in
their music to power a city. Their current influences are anywhere
from Iron Maiden to Suffocation and Slayer to Cannibal Corpse. On
"5000 Years Of Violence" you can hear what the bands likes,
and they aren't ashamed to show it in their music. The majority of
the albums is heavy and fast thrash, but they do take time to break
down into a ballad type sound in the middle of their song "Attrition
of Fear." That song is one of my favorites on this CD. Other
favorites of mine include "What is Past is Prelude," "Tyrannical,"
and "The Dark Order" which is pretty much a death metal
song. The rest of the songs are good as well, but those are just a
few of my favorites. There are a total of nine head pounding tracks
on this CD. Dark Order do not mess around when they are writing songs.
There is over fifty-five minutes of music on this CD, that works out
to over six minutes a song. This band is definitely a band that any
Slayer fan should check out.
