Finally, Crowbar
is back with their down-tuned heaviness after four year since their
last album. “Lifesblood For The Downtrodden” should make
every one of their fans pleased it was worth the wait. Their metalcore
sludge fills this disc up to the brim with weighty riffs, pounding
bass, and rhythmic drums. As always with Crowbar these heavy riffs
will put you into a metal trance. Picture everything they have done
before, with appropriate progression, with present day production
quality…this is Crowbar with a modern metal crunch! The whole
disc is at least decent, so you don’t have to worry about a
bad track from these guys. There are various musicians that contribute
to this CD. It was produced by Rex Brown (Pantera) and Warren Riket
(Corrosion Of Conformity), along with performances from Rex, Craig
Nunenmacher, and Sid Montz. I can’t think of anything that needs
improvement, this is a good, solid, metal album. “Lifesblood
For The Downtrodden” is what you should expect from a band like
Crowbar. They have experience and ability to their benefit.
