It’s a Conspiracy!
No actually, that’s the name of the band. This recently formed
metal band takes a different approach then the current metal trend
of Nu Metal bands, and goes for more of a classic thrash sound. Does
it benefit the band? The answer is a little of both. The music on
their 2002 demo has its heaviness and headbanging moments, but the
overall sound seems as if they forgot to add something. There is an
emptiness in their songs that I can’t quite put my finger on.
It might have something to do with the production, it’s not
bad, but getting the instruments to be a little more polished would
be nice. Vocals could be another reason. It works, just not all the
time. None of the songs were outstanding, but there were some moments.
If I were to pick the finest track on this Demo, it probably would
be “Let’s Get Crazy.” For you classic thrash fans,
you will be happy to find out that they have included a ballad, it
closes out this four track CD.
