This is a rather dated release (1992), but
has recently been re-issued via Escapi Entertainment. This was originally
an extremely limited solo release from Nuclear Assaults' skinsman,
Glenn Evans (vocals, guitar, bass, drums, producer, engineer, mixer,
etc...)! With the help of Dave Dipietro (lead guitar) and Anthony
Bramante (other lead fills), but primarily all other music by Glenn.
Anyways, CIA is the name of the game and it explores mainly good ol'
thrash metal. Technical, aggressive, and very much a sound similar
to Megadeth, Cacophony and early-80's Metallica! Glenn's voice is
very reminiscent of a teenage James Hetfield and the old-school riffage
sounds so much like "Kill 'Em All" and "So Far, So
Good, So What..." that it's uncanny! The solos shred like Jason
Becker and Marty Friedman whence the name of Cacophony. So an absolutely
worthy listen! I had no idea this guy could do something like this.
I'm even more surprised that this release never had a more relevant
pressing. Say - limited copies?? At least now, "Attitude"
will finally be unleashed worldwide! Definitely a keeper for true
thrashers!!
