If your looking for a band to bring you back
to the eighties thrash, let Cabal help you out. This Quintet will
remind you of the days when Dark Angel, Sepultura and Slayer were
considered new bands. "Midian" is a seven track MCD and
is filled with riffing that is heavy as hell, and solos that make
you want to scream!! This CD was actually recorded back in 1990 at
Morrisound Studio in Tampa, Florida, back in the glory days of metal
and is the bands only CD. Now with metal definitely coming back this
will sure to be a hit. The tracks "Midian," "Dark Desires,"
and "God Complex" will definitely kick you in the balls,
and remind you of the circle pits before all the hardcore dancing
came in. "Nocturnal Reign," the final track, is a song that
is an eight minute epic. The riffing on this thirty-two minute MCD
will leave your neck sore for days, and probably make you need to
go to a chiropractor. We can only hope that this band will put out
something else but, with former band members like Killjoy (vocals)
of Necrophagia in other bands and doing other things, it doesn't look
like it will happen anytime soon. Fans of the eighties thrash/death,
you have to check this CD out. There is no doubt in my mind that you
will love this CD. Rating: 90 |
