Opening with a can o' beer, Brand
New Sin’s sophomore release is a stunning plethora of Hard
Rock fixations! Joe, Kenny, Kris, Chuck and Kevin are seemingly out
to destroy the boundaries between Rock and Metal with this "Recipe
For Disaster". The album features 13 ::brand new:: tracks, a
video clip of "Black and Blue", and around 45 minutes playing
time. Compared mostly to bands like COC and Motörhead, BNS are
indeed that and more. More like a more Southern Rock version of Pantera
(like- Down)! Every track on this thing is catchy and as refined as
the aforementioned bands. These guys have been together for a little
while, but not quite as long as it sounds on disc. Very sophisticated
riffing, formidable choruses, and perfect drumwork for the style.
BNS are not only Syracuse's brightest light in metal, in general,
they are probably one of the brightest newcomers in metal throughout
the planet Earth. Many hails for the new Rock n Brawl style! Definitely
in league with Black Label Society, COC, and Down. Cheers!
