The self-titled Blindside
record has been re-released for your listening pleasure. Originally
release in 1997, this is their rockin’ hardcore debut album.
Their approach sounds almost as if Rage Against The Machine and Weezer
were mixed with a hardcore band. Not only are the original twelve
tracks remastered but this disc features original demos of “Liberty,”
“Superman,” “Stolen, “ and “Forgiven.”
Those songs were previously available only in Stockholm, Sweden as
a limited edition. I’ve always found it refreshing to hear music
digitally remastered, not that the production was bad before, but
why not listen to an album that is more crystal clear? “Lars”
Marten is back to freshen this disc up. One more added attribute to
this re-release is vocalist, Christian Lindskog, designed new artwork
for this special release. This CD should be tempting even for those
who have the original release. With added tracks, artwork and their
distinct sound, there is something for everyone on this disc.
