As an earlier taste from their upcoming album,
Blind Guardian
release a CD single with the song “Fly.” This single includes
two other songs not available on their upcoming album “A Twist In
The Myth.” “Fly” is a decent tune and should get most
of their fans across the world something to look forward to when their new
disc comes out. The atmosphere in the tune has a little bit of a Japanese
tone to it. A little different from their norm, but it’s still Blind
Guardian. Hansi Kursch’s familiar vocals once again add to the vitality
of their songs. The second track on this CD is “Skalds and Shadows,”
which you can find on their new album, but this one is a little different.
Tis an acoustic version of “Skalds and Shadows,” majestic and
classic sounding to thine ear. Finishing off this three song single is their
cover of “In A Gadda Da Vida.” A great song for a metal band
to cover! I enjoyed it quite a bit because they made the Iron Butterfly
song their own. I would assume these tracks were created alongside the other
tracks for full-length, which were recorded, mixed, and mastered at Twilight
Hall Studios. Charlie Bauerfeind and the band produced them. Bauerfeind
also engineered and mastered these songs. I’m sure their new album
will be worth the wait.
