Raw black metal, harsh on the ears and the
soul is what you get from “Upheaval Of Satanic Might.”
Black Witchery is back with their sophomore album, which was influenced
by Blasphemy and Sarcofago. This album is straightforward, nothing
different than you would expect for this type of metal, maybe a little
less creative and shorter. It sounds like they wrote and recorded
it, in one day, and it’s nine songs for only twenty-six minutes.
The songs all kind of run together and the raw blast beats can get
to you after a while. Tracks can be repetitive and not too creative.
It results in becoming monotonous noisy-speed. Remember this is raw
black metal…don’t expect any sort of classy production.
You might want to stay away from this unless you are really into cult
black metal.
