I don't think Alice Cooper could have re-opened the Nightmare any other way but by kicking off the album with that eerie piano music of Steven playing as Alice's new Nightmare kicks off with "I am Made of You" a great track that eases us into the psychotic world that Alice often loves to pull us into. Working once again with legendary rock producer Bob Ezrin the pair have certainly come up with the goods, showcasing the many sides of Alice from heavy, to pop punk, classic rock n roll and just plain twisted Alice at his best which can be best heard on "Last Man on Earth." For more than four decades Alice Cooper has done it his way, never creating the same album twice and always happy to musically incorporate new thing; and that's what makes "Welcome 2 My Nightmare" so great.
The Diversity of tracks including "Disco Bloodbath Boogie Fever," "I'll Bite Your Face Off," "Caffeine" and "Something to Remember Me By" makes this Alice's ultimate Nightmare. For me the best track on the album was "Ghouls Gone Wild" it reminded me so much of that raw seventies sound that was made famous by New York punks The Ramones and for me that was the icing on the disc. I am sure that all long-time Alice Cooper fans are going to be more than impressed with the album we've all been waiting years for him to make.
