I really didn't know
what to think of this CD when I first heard it. But after listening
to it a few times you can definitely get into their music. You can't
be completely serious with this CD, it's serious to a point then there
is a little bit of play. Adolf Castle is similar to Iron Maiden, Manowar
and Blind Guardian, with a little added color. The production is generally
pretty good on this CD, with a few things that could have been improved
on maybe a little. The thirteen tracks on this CD lasts for over fifty
minutes of music. This CD is a good solid effort, it's not amazing,
but it does have parts on it that can take it to the next level. Generally
all of the songs are good, with a few odds and ends, but nothing bad
at all. One of my favorite songs on the CD is "Gallow Tree."
This song reminds me of Iron Maiden, quite a bit. It brought me back
to when I saw Iron Maiden last summer at Madison Square Garden. Both
the song, and the concert were good times. If this band turns to a
more serious style, they may be sought after like the previously mentioned
bands, there is definite potential there. There has been a little
time since this band released this CD, maybe they will have a new
album soon. Rating: 78 |
